Do not book with this company. I booked because I looked at their reviews on trust pilot which looked good and they are a member of abta However the day after I booked I received an email telling me to call them and they informed me my holiday had gone up by £1500 so I had to pay the difference , obviously I said this is completely wrong and cannot be legal practice, they said they’d refer to their management but now say the room is unavailable yet the total amount has been taken from my credit card! I have since looked on their website and the same room category is now £300 cheaper so everything is completely incorrect and nonsensical, I am extremely worried as this holiday cost a lot of money and I am due to go in 2 weeks. No one is answering the phone and I don’t know what to do Since then I found this site where the reviews are all very similar stories , clearly the trustpilot reviews cannot be genuine

If I could give a 0 ore - 🌟 I definitely will, such a bad experience with this company, very unprofessional,very rude. Obviously it's a very long story, and not nice one either, I will try to forget, I would never recommend to anyone, use them service, and never again from me, its a lot more other options which is 100% better than this one.

Despicable and untrustworthy how they are unwilling to take ownership for their own systems error. Absolutely disgusted with this untrustworthy company who are lying rather than accepting responsibility for their own website systems error. Absolutely disgusted with what has happened with our booking! I booked a 3 day break to Barcelona for our daughters 18th birthday, flights and hotel for her and her boyfriend. On the Travel republic website I entered her and her boyfriends passenger details and date of birth and then on the next page entered my name as the card holder as I was paying for the surprise present. When the booking confirmation came through it had entered myself and my daughter as the passengers not my daughter and her boyfriend! On contacting Travel republic we were told that they were able to amend the hotel booking but that BA would not amend the name on the flight, we would have to cancel it, loosing our money and book and pay for an entire new flight. Why on earth they can't change the name I have no idea but the fact was, this wasn't our error to pay for! We contacted Travel Republic again by telephone this time as we know damn well that we did not make an error, the passenger details were entered correctly and only my name added as a card holder name. After waiting 40 minutes to get through we were told that 'these things can happen' and that they would get their IT department to look in to and would get back to us shortly. After waiting a full week with no news we called again, again another 40 minutes wait to get through and then a further 20 minutes put on hold we were told that couldn't get through to the right department so they would call us back shortly. After waiting yet another full week for them to get back to us they have just finally called this morning to say that it was a customer error and that they would not be refunding the cost of the flight. We know this is an absolute lie!!! The passenger details and cardholder details are entered at completely different stages of the booking process (after you have clicked to the next page) and there is no way on earth that we entered them incorrectly. Something on their system or website was glitching/failing and has taken the data of the cardholder details rather than the passenger details. Absolutely disgusted not only with the fact that Travel Republic are not owning up to their system error but also with how poor the customer service has been with us trying to resolve this. We have asked for them to show us proof that it was a customer error so no doubt after another long wait wait we'll be sent some utter rubbish but we won't be letting this go and will be taking this up with ABTA. Despicable and untrustworthy how they are unwilling to take ownership for their own systems error.

I did get a good price with them, but wanted to change my accomodation as we were already staying there for 7 nights. I could only get through via logging a request and the responses were slow to come through. I asked if I could just take a credit, to which they also said no, which was fine, as I was in the 7 day no-cancellation window. But then I suggested booking an additional 2 nights (for a total of 5 nights) at another hotel they had at a higher rate, which would have given them additional revenue. Unfortunately, the service team was just trained to respond "No, you're already in your non cancellation period." It doesn't make a lot of sense that you wouldn't take my additional revenue for a hotel switch, but then again, maybe they operate differently. In the end, it wasn't a huge problem, but if we had been staying somewhere awful, it could have been a nightmare. I'll likely book with Booking.com, because they have quick responses from customer service and are accessible via phone and live chat too. They also have a bit more flexibility in their cancellation in certain cases - like, if i wanted to upgrade or take a credit.

I booked a hotel for my holiday with them 6 months ago, for £1890. They now want another £1500 for the booking or they will cancel. Apparently their t&c’s state that they change their prices at anytime as long as they offer you a refund. I booked early as it’s always cheaper and now the prices have gone up everywhere! Be very wary of using them.

After having been sold a hotel stay in Gran Canaria that I paid in July 2020 for December 2020, when I arrived at the hotel on december 18th 2020 the hotel had been closed since March 2020, 4 months before I paid for it. On arrival as the hotel was closed and on the street, I had to pay another an extra £450 if wanted the same category of hotel I already had paid. And I had no choice but to pay, I was told on the phone that I could claim that amount once back in the UK. I came back, wrote a complaint and ask for my £450 back and compensation for the stress endured and breach the contract. They answer is that the contract was not between travel republic and I. That they try to contact me. This was done by sending me emails 4 days before departure telling me that I raised a query and that to follow the link if I wanted and answer. The link looked like the perfect scam email asking me for password that I never gave them. I read in some comment that their telephone operators are very helpful. I guess these are comments of "paid comments" from travel republic as i have experience a total lack of professionalism from travel republic and whatever you agreed with them on payment is not a contract. So be careful before making with travel republic, as from what they wrote me, they do not have any legal obligation to provide what you have paid for.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED Couldn't put ZERO stars. Have used these loads in the past, will never use them again. Waited for payment of cancelled holiday from May. Finally received payment in November, with zero contact for 5 months and an arrogance behind reproach. Only started to get answers when I started to slam them on social media. Bunch of Charlatans and will not support you in need of crises, DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Tried to amend booking, as flight was cancelled due to covid, got a flight out 2 weeks earlier, had to amend booking at the hotel ourselves, nobody had tried to amend it From travel republic, cut a long story short they blamed hotel provider YOLAGO, they could not contact them and your contract is with travel provider YOLAGO as they pointed out, not with travel republic.we lost 9 days hotel payment, and to find out YOLAGO, TRAVEL REPUBLIC ARE all part of the EMIRATES GROUP,find it hard to believe they could not amend booking, will never book with them again. And once this pandemic is over remember you will need all the customers you can get, TR and all these unsatisfied customers, just might not book again with you, and you will be looking for a new job.

Cancellation of my holiday took four frustrating months to get a refund, their reviews on trustpilot are littered with fakes ,their fa eBook page is heavily edited many complaint post are swiftly removed

I am a loyal customer of TR. Even through the pandemic they pulled through. They made a few errors on the way but who could forsee the devastation of this virus. Well done TR

They promised to contact us two weeks prior to travel in July. They failed. They promised to reply to all our tweets and emails. They failed They gave us a deadline of 9th November to respond to us. They failed After all this they tell us we could have travelled and the booking was non refundable and the hotel and airline won’t refund us. Perhaps if they had acted sooner in this matter we could have got a refund. They were supposed to be our agent. They failed. Ten of us travelling on one booking. The government telling us that only meet in groups of six. We needed advice and support on this. They closed their phone lines furloughed the staff and washed their hands of us. And now we will wash our hands of them. We will never book with them again. Don’t blame COVID, Jet2holidays kept their phone lines open. Spoke to us. Cancelled the holiday for us. I’m sure other operators did the same. I bet you haven’t even spoken to the hotel. You just can’t be bothered. You have your money you don’t care about your customers in the slightest and I hope customers will see what an unreliable agent you are and will shop elsewhere in future.

They have still not replied to one of my open support tickets from 8 weeks ago, yet keep sending marketing emails about how they can be trusted etc. My flight got changed by the airline to a late night one we didn’t want to do with small children without notice and Travel Republic wouldn’t reply to let me rearrange it (earlier ones were available!) and closed their phone lines. I wouldn’t book again because they take weeks to reply and will just close their phone lines when it gets busy. Madness. Despite this I have used them twice before covid and they were okay then. So clearly it’s the volume of enquiries they can’t cope with. But that’s up to them to sort out. Im sorry the trust is gone.

Had to cancel hotel booking. Asked for a refund. Received email from Travel Republic on 23/10/2020 saying that they had negotiated a refund and that I would get it by November 8th. Nothing received. Emailed Travel Republic and they say that I am not entitled to a refund ??????. Worst company in the world. Hopeless.

Well as expected holiday cancelled by travel republic for our florida trip they phone and said they would refund in 5 days. True to thier wird refund in my account in 5 days well done travel republic

Have booked with TR multiple times, helped me out during Icelandic volcano disruption. No quibbles with covid travel problems either, they have kept me informed. I chose a credit note initially but when that came to an end they phoned and I opted for a refund, received in 5 days. Well done TR, I will book with you again
