I left a genuine negative review for Dorothy Perkins where they sent out an extremely poorly sized dress, and they immediately suspended my account. Even though I had other reviews of other companies - some mixed, some positive - they accused me of being a bot or being inauthentic. It was obvious that Dorothy Perkins had asked to reviews to be removed - overnight, their rating went from 3.0 to 3.8 stars, giving them a 4/5 "great" rating instead of the 3/5 "average" rating they were meant to have. Many reviews from other people with similar negative experiences had been removed (poor sizing, misleading descriptions, not offering refunds for defective products and instead only offering returns where you pay for return shipping). It seems clear to me that Dorothy Perkins is trying to deter customers from returning products as return shipping can cost more than the item itself. Rather than spend money on pattern development and making clothes in different sizes, they just stick different size labels on the same clothes, ship them out, and when you complain they just say you chose the wrong size. Trustpilot is complicit by helping not allowing legitimate negative reviews to stay, only keeping a couple so they give off the image of being legitimate and honest. They are not. Do not trust company ratings. Trustpilot are scam enablers.

I totally agree with other reviewers on how corrupted trustpilot has become! They deleted my genuine negative review about QD stores, and suspended my account! I have all proof of my experience in that shop so how dare they accuse me it being fabricated? Won't bother writing or reading anything anymore on trustpilot, because it's so untrustworthy now!

Horrible scam company that practices extortion as a business model. Trustpilot only attracts angry people to leave reviews. And as business you can't invite customers to leave reviews unless you pay. A happy customer is just that, HAPPY, they won't really bother going through the trouble of leaving a review, but an angry customer will. So tell me? Who is Trustpilot attracting? Angry customers. And there is no way to remove a false review about your business. If you contact them they will tell you that you have to you pay them $2400 to remove it. And what would you call that? Blackmail.

I left a comment on the company vevor and I see all they got to do is ask more details repetitively and wear you down and lots of people complain about this,I'm not going to restart on vevor all ready lost to much time but there liars and trustpilot aren't trustworthy and they will erase your negative comment on a company that has a contract with them, they should be shut down for not being transparent with customers and companies I would put a bet that all companies that have a contract with trustpilot even known scammers on there site are classified4 star+ they themself are scamers and are not trustworthy and companies that have a contract with trustpilot that call to cancell there contract in time are ignored and charged another year, so companies out there I wouldn't do business with them

They removed negative reviews for 2 energy suppliers I had dealings with. Other retailers I was a customer of, and had left 5* reviews for, disappeared! It flags up as suspicious on their system. They asked me to send a copy of my bank statement or receipts to prove I was a genuine customer. Trustpilot is corrupt in allowing rogue businesses to falsify reviews and should be shut down.

It would be really interesting to actually have someone look into this business model! I have been trying to leave 4 reviews on TrustPilot for the past 2 months because of horrible companies I've dealt with, and they seem to be blocking me from doing so. The way it goes is: I write the review, and then when I want to post it, it says, "You have been logged out; please log in", even though I am logged in. When I then try to post it again, they say "You already left a review, please check again later". None of my reviews of the past 2 months are showing! When you look closer into how Trustpilot works, its very scary to realize what they are doing. Fraudulent companies that actually pay Trustpilot seem to be getting hundreds of 5 star reviews on a regular basis, and when you actually leave a review, they will send you an automated email saying that your review was not posted because it isn't real. Why on earth would I take the time to leave a review for a company if I hadn't had a bad experience with them? And this is what their entire business models relies on... We will let people write reviews and then make the business pay to remove the reviews, and if they pay enough, we will block the reviewers! Funnily enough, I seemed to have gotten banned when I actually left a review for TrustPilot.com on their own website! This is company is a fraud, and they should be taken to court for using the name to operate!

They remove reviews on scam sites that have 79% 1/5 star ratings. Clearly the particular sites like coinsmarkets.io are scammers from the many reviews others have written In addition it allows for/ planted positive reviews (all 7% of them!) either by scammers or people scammers pay Do NOT TRUST TRUSTPILOT.

Suspected FRAUD committed by TrustPilot. We are have a very small 2-person business. Recently a few 1-star reviews appeared on Trustpilot, with the strangest complains about products and services we don't even have. They did not want to remove them, they suggested that we would have to buy their services to invite real customers to leave positive reviews. In other words, they allow fake reviews, possibly fabricated by themselves, to trick/blackmail business owners into buying their services

Trustpilot violated my first amendment rights and also violated the The Consumer Review Fairness Act. They have no authority to remove my review based on emotions. They have to challenge my evidence. That’s how it works. You have to sue me for defamation. You can’t just silence me.

As a European company, it smacks of communism. They think they're masters, when they email me with retarded questions, they get retarded answers, and it hurts them a lot. Such clowns need to be removed from the internet. Useless clowns.

I do agree with the person below as left a genuine bad review for one of the law firm and submitted all the evidence and they kept bringing up anecdotal excuses for not being able to publish it. Totally surprised about it and how bad they are. It seems like it is a platform where people are only allowed to post positive reviews on trustpilot as this keeps them in business with their clients.

A fraudulent 3rd party review platform. Left a genuine review follow a bad experience I had with an online store. 4 times in one year trust pilot emailed to say unless I could provide evidence of being a customer of said online shop my review would be removed. I provided this of course on the first time and the second. On the third time around I made the point this has already been provided twice and that they should reference their records. Upon hearing from them again for a fourth time I had completely lost hope and did not respond. A couple of weeks later my review had been removed. As a customer I should not have to go to such effort to keep a legitimate review online. I would never use or trust anything about trust pilot again. The whole system is rigged for the retailers not at all for the customers. Untrustworthy more like.

Trustpilot run a shady operation they make it as hard as possible to quit a subscription and keep your details to re-bill you each year. No cancel button, you have to do it via call or email. They'll say they didn't receive it and charge you. Avoid as all cost's so many companies are leaving.

Put simply Trustpilot is not, in my opinion a platform where people can go to expecting to read about other people's experiences with a business or site. For almost 1 year now I have been writing reviews of a scammer who has multiple websites (treated by Trustpilot as individual businesses) and who on a monthly basis creates new websites with the same scam. Most, not all, but most are removed and in the next few months I receive the exact same copy paste emails from Trustpilot which lack any indication that they have read, understood or even care about the actual review. In my opinion Trustpilot deletes honest reviews written by real people of scam businesses. One can only speculate (ie. not proven) that they either cannot monetize these sites being reviewed to paying customers so they delete them or the scammer is already paying Trustpilot as a customer. The final nail in the coffin proving Trustpilots attitude to my over 43 reviews written is in the attached email. ".....Trustpilot is an online review community that allows people to share their experiences with different companies. If you believe those companies are fraudulent or for any serious cases, consider reporting the incident to the police, or contacting a local consumer protection organization. Consumer bodies can advise on consumer rights." In other words Trustpilot actively choose to delete your reviews and suggest you contact someone else instead.

They removed a genuine review of Evri, I think they must be paid to remove reviews if they are not positive when completely genuine.
