The actual location itself and the folks working there were great. They were super friendly and helpful and gave us a bunch of great tips for the area. However, Vertoe charged me twice for a single reservation. I noticed two charges to my credit card, but the Vertoe location only received one reservation. It was only $5 so I didn't fight it, but it's pretty frustrating nonetheless that this simple service is overcharging people. I probably wouldn't use the service again.

I wish I could say it was a good experience at BagBnB. I dropped off my bags and when I retrieved them, my locks were bent and broken. Fortunately, one held, so they couldn’t get into my bag, but I’ve since opened a claim to reimburse for the cost of the locks. I like the concept and it was helpful to drop my bags off, but this isn’t my ideal smooth transaction.

The process laid out online was completely different than real life. I didn't realize that the location was going to be inside an actual liquor store until after I checked out. After checking out, it took us a good 20 minutes of walking around the block to figure out where it was. Once we realized that it was in this weird liqour store, the people around were letting us know that we were going to the right place, but there wasn't any stickers or any sort of indication that this was the place to store our things. Even the guy at the store didn't know how many bags I had purchased to store. He just took them to the back without any sort of tags and assured us no one would go through them. Without any indication, again, that this was the correct place other than an email and the guys saying it is, I really thought someone was going to steal our stuff. After a few hours, we came back and everything seemed to be as it was. Despite the good outcome, I probably wouldn't be doing this again without clear indications that the place holding my stuff is associated with vertoenor follows that process. Otherwise, it just seems sketchy.

I expected a safe and secure spot for my luggage, but was greeted with a jam-packed store and had to leave my belongings in a back room. It was a reasonable price, but I will never use this service again. I felt misled.

The place where i left my bags didn't take any security measures, the girl on the front desk was so sleepy and didn't give us a tag, she put the bags right next to her desk and leave it there for the whole day! When we came back we just picked them and no one asked why, seriously anyone could have taken our bags and no one of the employees would have care. Seems the place is a communal co-living where people living there for long periods of time do some work in exchange of hosting, they are not professionals at all.

I didn't like it. They don't show the address before you book so it's easy to select a place that's too far afterwords. Find out afterwords also that a booking is only for 1 item. Didn't get email conformation as should be. Had to chat online with custom service to get the address just because i closed the browser tab.

Lack of information, the straps were not put in a safe place and were taken off before I could inspect. It didn’t inspire confidence, but the owners of the place were very nice people.

We were surprise to find the back with a store to leave our luggages where the guy was smelling very strange ... I’ll never recommend

Service was great however there was no security protocols in place. We were not given a receipt, nor the security label that the site says we should get. We asked about a receipt and/or the label and we were told they don't do that anymore. On pickup they asked us "these two?" Anyone could have taken our bags!!! I think the idea is great in theory but in action there is room for big problems!!!

When we arrived, the clerk at the desk had not record of my reservation, even though I had a computer printout. It took far too long to check the bags in and equally long to check them out.

When we arrived at our location, we were told we did not have a reservation even though I received a confirmation email. The associate was very accommodating at the location, but we had to wait about 15 minutes at the location after I showed her my confirmation email to confirm that we had a reservation. The check in process was not smooth for this reason and is the reason for my poor rating. Our bags, however, were well taken care of.

When I arrived, the store owner did not offer any receipt or blue tags. I felt nervous about leaving my things with him.

On arrival. There was no security tape put around luggage as advertised. On pick-up. No I'd to verify who we were. Luggage was in Un locked common area.

Vertoe as a service is very cool to safely store luggage near the Penn Station. However, the place they chose, the Panzai tourist store, is really sketchy. You have to carry your bags down this steep stairs into a dark basement that has rats in it. The guys put a lock on the door, but when you pick up bags, you have to carry them up yourselves. They just let you down there by yourself unsupervised. Who knows who is going through the bags?

Well, since Vertoe insists I write a review, here it is. Downtown San Diego, “regular” luggage storage no longer available for whatever reason. Pull out phone, check, get several suggestions I’m not familiar with, choose Vertoe for reviews rating. Go there, submit my location, then have to prepay, of course, before actual luggage storage place is disclosed. After payment, I’m told to bring it to some Japanese toy store, some 2.5 miles away. In the end, Vertoe got my money, I drag my suitcase along the San Diego harbor, and the veterans at the USS Midway are so nice to keep it for me while I visit their flating museum. From my perspective, f... Vertoe, and f... the “sharing ecnomy” in general.

I was shocked to learn that the location I left my suitcase at, was more than a sketchy neighborhood. The people at the store only spook very broken English and they were more bothered than happy with my booking. What I disliked to most, was that they didn't really store my suitcase in a safe place. They just put it in the middle of their grocery store. The idea of this whole thing is nice, but the execution was horrible.
