“Our 1st trip to China and our 1st Viking cruise were both an excellent introduction to both. We could not find fault at all. Had not expected to enjoy lectures and entertainment but we did - all 1st class like the rest of the trip.”

“Our first cruise with Viking was a wonderful experience and we haven't been disappointed with other cruises we have taken. The services offered are first class, the staff friendly and helpful (sometimes above and beyond what was required) - we can't sing your praises too highly.”

“Our Viking cruise along the Elbe in April was superb, we could not fault the cruise in any way. Staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. We have booked a Romantic Danube Cruise for next December because we enjoyed our last holiday so much. Have recommended Viking without hesitation to our friends.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise thus the high rating. It was let down by 2 things. The concierge was off-hand,disinterested and unhelpful and all we asked was where to catch the metro in Vienna. Once we had left the ship disembarkation was totally chaotic. There were 2 coaches leaving for Budapest airport and nobody knew which one or that we had to get our luggage labels marked. There was a lot of walking backwards and forwards.This was possibly because it was being organised by the concierge! Once we arrived at the airport we were left totally to our own devices. Nobody explained that we had to check in at the machines even if we hadn't done it online beforehand. We managed to sort things out because an English speaking local explained. Non IT literate passengers struggled. The rep that met the coach disappeared into thin air. He should have been there to direct and support. There was a lot of grumbling going on and spoilt the end of a lovely holiday. It was very poor service.”

“Apart from the fabulous cruise and fabled Viking service, Ria the Cruise Director went that extra step to make it a memorable experience. This was our first River cruise and first Viking experience, but won't be our last. We will not be considering any other company for a River Cruise! And because of the 5 star experience we've already booked an Ocean Cruise on Viking Star!”

“We likes almost everything about our Viking river cruise holiday. The organisation / arrival / the boat / the accommodation / the tours / the hosts / especially the food. The only thing I think would improve the experience is to cater for two people who want to sit on their own at dining. I would also say they are not the cheapest at offering these types of cruises but I'm a believer in "you get what you pay for"”

“Staff and service were excellent. Food and wine were first class Cabin was smaller than expected and balcony was too narrow to turn seats to take in the view. En suite was good. Overall a most enjoyable cruise - because of it we have booked a Viking Sea Cruise!!”

“This was our first river cruise and I was apprehensive about whether it would be too regimented - would we enjoy set dining times and sharing tables for instance. However, there really was no need to worry - from the minute we arrived the service was excellent. The staff were marvelous, the food excellent and the various ports of call were varied with really good guides. The cabin was smaller than on ocean going ships but still very comfortable and the steward was exceptional. There were some lovely touches on the cruise like blankets on the sunbeds and chairs so you could sit out if you wanted at night and on cooler days. We loved the whole experience and have already booked to try the Viking Ocean experience. Yes, I'd still prefer individual tables for two but otherwise - fantastic”

“This was our first Viking cruise (Waterways of the Tsars) and was well up to expectations - so much so that we have already booked one of Viking's sea cruises. We rate the accommodation, food and service very highly. The only thing that prevents us from giving a top rating was that we thought some of the excursions at the stopping points were a bit artificial and forced.”

“The Rhine Cruise was th first cruise we had even been on and it exceeded our expectations in every respect. So much so that we booked another Viking cruise within 7days of our return home The boat, cabin, public areas, food, crew, excursions, facilities of every kind, were faultless. We were the only Scots on our trip - the other guests were predominantly American which was something of a surprise but it did not adversely affect our holiday - we even made good friends of an American couple. If you've never tried cruising we think Viking will spoil you for any other cruise line. Their all inclusive style is very good value.”
