Suffice to say I have experienced a lot of what people have already spoken about. They have had my money since the 8th July; agreed a refund on the 13th July and I still haven't got it despite several phone calls and follow up emails. They don't seem bothered and can only offer meaningless platitudes. After talking to them today they actually hadn't actioned the refund....there's a surprise! To top it all I don't actually have a product of theirs as they couldn't deliver in the time span the I cancelled the order. They are, to my mind, thieves! They have my money and are stalling at every available opportunity of repaying it. They have said the money will be applied to my account tomorrow but I won't hold my breath. I shall then have to go to my credit card provider and see if I can have some luck down that route.

If you ever get the chance to do business with Viking Direct, do your business and your blood pressure a favour and do business with someone else. Their courier decided that the best way to deliver four cardboard boxes full of cardboard postal tubes was to leave them stacked against my gate. In a rainstorm. Twenty four hours after their advertised twenty four hour deliver service. Viking's response? They'll send someone to pick up the resultant pile of soggy cardboard and once said pile is safely back in their warehouse, will send replacements. I've said it before and I'll say it again - to Irish companies, customer service is just something weird that Americans do.

They blatantly lie about delivery times. It says clearly "In stock - delivery in 1-2 working days" and then the customer service rep tells me it's from a supplier so will take at least 5 working days. False advertising!

I ordered ink that I needed for something urgent. When it arrived it was the completely wrong ink and when I went to return it said my 30days were up and I attempted this within 5 minutes of it being delivered. I went on live chat very unhelpful felt like they didn’t care. I was told wait for 5 days for collection then a further 8 days for refund. It wasn’t my mistake but they wouldn’t help wouldn’t resend the ink. I am a key worker and needed the ink urgently but no care from company will never use them again. I wouldn’t even give 1 star

Absolutely awful. I ordered the 'Pierre Henry filing cabinet Black 3 Combi 400 x 400 x 660' over 4 weeks ago, showed up late despite guaranteed delivery so they offered me £5 refund regarding this that was never processed and then when the filing cabinet arrived it was dented. An online chat advisor said a £10 refund would be processed 4 weeks ago to compensate for the damaged goods within 10 working days. It didn't arrive, nor did the £5 delivery refund on my card so I contacted Viking again via online chat. Amanda G on the online chat said "Sorry, it hasn't been processed properly" - processed the £5 separately and then said she'd increased the refund to £20 which both would be within me 10 working days. Today is the 10th working day. I have unfortunately spent the best part of an hour dealing with "Chrisalda P" on the online chat who told me that she will process a £10 refund now and a £10 voucher for a future order(?) She refused to answer where my refund was that was supposedly processed two weeks ago and refused to accept I didn't want a future voucher & that I'm entitled to this £20 refund back as the item is faulty and I'd sent pictures proving this. I'm now waiting for a Manager to give me a call to hear what I was previously promised that Chrisalda P has supposedly requested, but I don't doubt that I will have to chase this up. All in all - I don't have any refund for the faulty goods, they've still charged me full price for over a month and withheld my money despite repeated promises that refunds have been processed and now a new advisor has ignored all of the previous two advisors chats/ emails sent to me, all of which causing a massive waste of time. Absolutely horrendous company.

USED VIKING FOR 20 OR SO YEARS....NOT ANYMORE! Used to be a great firm. Shocking customer service. Past 3 orders all wrong. Have to keep chasing for refunds. Dishonest staff that say anything just to get you off the phone. Say they will refund you, then 2 months later still no refund. Take money from my account for items Ive not ordered! Will never use them again. Steer clear!

Appaling customer service ordered a computer chair 2 weeks later got an email saying it was a back order and they'll send one when they have it in stock (why not say it's out of stock in the first place). I sent them an email asking to cancel the order I didn't get a reply so after another week I tried calling them and it's just an automated call that sends you around in circles just to tell you to send them an email. I tried emailing them again, still no reply so I took it up with paypal in which paypal give them 30 days to solve the issue. After 29 days they responded to my email not going through paypal saying they're sorry for the delay with the delivery, so I replid "I just want my money back". They replied straight away saying I'll get my refund within 5 days, which I did. My advice is AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Avoid... Nightmare. Ordered a coffee grinder and printer paper.Paid with Paypal They delivered the paper 4 days later with a note stating the grinder was also delivered. 3 days later contacted to chase up: no coffee grinder in stock will come direct from supplier but there is no date. I cancelled the order and ask for refund. Week later called and turns out the refund was not done properly and it will take 14 days... 10 days later chasing up and being angry I asked for the money they said same day and hang up when I asked for confirmation email. 3 days later I filed a complain through PayPal but they just ignore it. AVOID THESE DISHONEST PEOPLE

Am item that was listed on the website as Im stock with next day delivery was subsequently still not delivered to me after 10 days. Each day I called I was promised that it was "on the van, out for next day delivery" but it was lies and it never arrived. After 11 days of waiting and being lied to, I cancelled my order. I now have to wait a further 10 days for a refund. Very poor customer service! Will definitely not be using again!

Ordered a white board on the 22nd june has nt arrived , they take the money but you cant contact them, terrible service. Its a disgrace you put your trust in a company to send your product but they as good as steal from you. How they are still trading I dont know.

Worst experience ever received from a company. Ordered a filing cabinet on 9th June which came within a couple of days but was dented.emailed with photos but no response so spoke to customer services who advised it would be collected 24-48 hours. Waited in but no collection. Spoke to them again and appeared that no arrangement was made. Made a complaint and asked for a manager to call. The manager called and arranged for it to be collected today.(4 days after speaking to him) and surprise surprise still not collected. They refused to send a replacement or give a refund which I need to purchase another. Disgraceful.

They don't even deserve 1 star, absolutely shocking company, AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. Lied to constantly by contact centre staff (Have chat transcripts which openly contradict each other) unhelpful, rude and clueless. This company shouldn't be allowed to trade. The WORST company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with

I ordered an office chair that was not suitable. I phoned to arrange for it to be returned and credited on 10th June 2020. 6 phone calls later on different days, each one promising that the product would be collected within 24hours and to date (19th June 2020) I am still waiting ! Telephone staff are patronising, unhelpful and seem to be deliberately obstructive. Awful customer service and PR. I would warn against using this difficult organisation who default on promises and are argumentative.

Ordered a filing cabinet from them and had it built by a joiner. Once constructed it was bent and wobbly and had scratches all over it. As well as this the back of the filing cabinet looked like it had been kicked I

Ordered an office chair that you didn't have in stock or available, yet you took my money and have still not refunded me. You told me 14 days! Bloody ridiculous, you blame Covid19! You have bad reviews for doing exactly the same to others! Scam artists at best! Martin Mayes

Made an order early March for items on back order. Money left my account. No notification regarding dispatch or delivery. April came and still no items. Called Viking Direct Customer Services (just choose option 1 for a human) and spoke with a very helpful Customer Care advisor named Marie. Promptly sent me two x 24 packs of Cushelle for free on next day delivery by way of an apology and advised that according to her “manager” (in lower case) my order should be delivered soon. April came and went and still my order didn’t arrive. Countless calls requesting information about my order to be told that it had been cancelled! Took payment AGAIN for the same items after advising that my refund had been issued for the original order. Sent another pack of 12 x Cushelle for free. After finding that my original payment had not been refunded at all after having been lied to by the “manager” (in lower case) who stated that it had been issued, countless more calls had to be made, chasing and requesting my refund and being fobbed off by various “managers” (in lower case) using many embarrassing, cringeworthy excuses - even going so far as to pretend that the system crashed whilst I was on the phone so couldn’t give me any further information (really?). After waiting THREE MONTHS I finally went to PayPal and filed a claim. Within 24 hours my money was refunded by PayPal. Anybody still waiting for a refund? I would advise you to do exactly the same. Although some of their staff are helpful and made generous gestures to me, the management team (in lower case) are at best shambolic and at worst underhand, untrustworthy and appear even slightly shady. Would I order from this company again? Never. I believe that this company are showing all the signs of going bust. I got my almost £60 back before they do; I urge you to do the same.

This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered a desk chair online that was shown as in stock with next day delivery. The chair did not arrive so I contacted them via email (there was no answer on the phone) and was told it was backordered. I asked when it would be back in stock and was told they did not know. As I needed the chair urgently I cancelled and ordered elsewhere. I was told that a refund would be given within 14 days. It is now over a month later and I have still not been given my money back despite sending multiple emails to chase. I’m now going to speak to my credit card company to see if they can get the money back and if that fails contact the financial ombudsman. Beware of this company!

Absolutely a jock! I placed my original order and, apart from the order confirmation, no other information on delivery or anything was received. On my first call to them, the line dropped in the middle of my conversation and 15 wait, on my second call, 25 minutes wait and they could not hear me. On my third call i discover that the order had not been placed due to a fault with the website. However, they had received my full payment. So they cancelled the order and refunded me still not received any refund at this point as the operator said it will take 24/48 hours.so i patiently replaced the order and to make sure I contacted them again and unbelievable, they tuck my money again and say they have no order and to add, they want confirmation of payment to investigate. Incredible! they are meant to be an online supplier.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DONT REFUND IT. I ordered an office chair with 24 hour delivery. The chair never arrived, so I cancelled it. I have been chasing for over 6 weeks for a refund. I got an email stating that someone would contact me within 48 hours, that was four weeks ago. So basically they take the money for goods that are not in stock and then you can't get a refund. I call that thief!

This was a terrible retail experience. Delivery failed to materialise. Checked online account which claimed that purchased printer cartridges had been delivered. Via online chat, clarified that there had been two attempted deliveries but no-one at home (not true as lock-down has meant that someone has been home all the time). No dispatch email sent and no note through door suggesting attempted delivery. Online chat confirmed that refund would be made once items checked into warehouse. Very disappointed with the whole experience and still my need for printer cartridges is unmet. Avoid Viking Direct.
