I bought an item (perfume) only to have Vinted invalidate the item (it had not box, perfumes must be new) before it was shipped. The seller wasn’t particularly communicative. I short, Vinted responded to my request for a refund within 24 hrs by instigating the process of said refund. Yay! Overall my experiences with Vinted have been very positive, but it does seem like there are more unscrupulous sellers there than the period 2020-2022, when I was quite actively buying perfumes there.

I purchased in good faith a John Lewis Roller Blind but it wasn’t right for me so I relisted it on Vinted (as they advise you to do, as returning to the seller is difficult). I have just had the item deleted by Vinted as apparently you cannot sell Blinds on Vinted so I have paid for a Blind that wasn’t right and now I am stuck with it - Vinted Customer Service have been useless and can offer me no help at all. Beware what you buy!!!!!!

So, IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY OR SELL ON VINTED THINK TWICE, IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME, PATIENCE AND YOU WILL END UP LOSING MONEY My nightmare with Vinted started like 14 days ago, when a parcel I have sent out was overdue to arrive to the buyer and the tracking wasn't updating. I have contacted both InPost and Vinted starting with InPost that have told me they need to be contacted by Vinted in this matter so I must contact Vinted directly, which I have done. Vinted contacted, the parcel was already 6-7 days overdue. They have said to contact once the 15 business days from the shipped date. In the meantime, I have had the email confirmation from InPost that the parcel has been lost. I have contacted Vinted showing all the evidences saying that the parcel got lost and a refund should be issued to the buyer and also to me. I have been talking to many people on the same "Support" chat, with different views and resolutions. Three days ago, 15/01, a person, or I should call it a bot, told me that if the parcel will not arrive in 24h, and the buyer will release the money within 48 hours then I will get the money released and the buyer will get the refund. I have asked today again when this will happen, and once again, a new bot-person told me differently: please allow another 2 business days for the parcel to arrive. I have told the bot-person to check all the evidences and screenshots I have provided from InPost and his bot-colleague that told me different 3 days ago. I will go ahead and complain to Citizen Advice and all the customer institutions that this company should stop their business at least in UK. They promote scammers , I have seen way too many listings from scammers and fake items. They don't care about legit users and they are blocking people without reason. If you are thinking to go and sell or buy things on Vinted, think twice, is not worth your patience and you will end up losing money.

Tried to buy a silicone air fryer tray which was £3.00. After adding £3.84 for buyer protection and £2.99 delivery the cost was a joke. Why £3.84 for buyer protection when the item isn’t even worth that amount.

This is possibly the worst selling platform I’ve ever used. The company is run by bots & morons. They make the rules up as they go along. AVOID

Same as everyone else on here. An absolute nightmare trying to sell. Sent off some sneakers for authentication. They were authenticated and ‘allegedly’ sent to the buyer. The buyer then contacted me to say she had not received them. A quick call to DPD - who told me the item was on its way to Vinted / on its way back to me / on its way to the buyer (3 different responses). Vinted have been no help at all. None. This poor girl has lost over a £100 as Vinted are refusing to refund her until I receive the parcel back. I’ll never use Vinted again. It’s a scam operation.

Same as other reviews. Buyer said my top was fake. I sent evidence of the purchase from Flannells… no help. The person buying got the top for free and I lost any money. Absolute cowboy firm! Will never use again

Stay away as a seller! I've sold over 20 products recently, all have now been shipped within the time frame. My account has now been blocked and I am over £300 down as I can't withdraw the money due to vinted claiming I sold counterfeit goods. They weren't even designer items / replicas etc. nor were they advertised as such. It was all high street brands such as zara / newlook.. there is no customer service.. they used to have a good platform until they realised they could scam people. I would stay far away

After losing £300 worth of packages, refused to refund me even though they admitted being in the wrong & then ‘revenge’ banned my account for raising a dispute against them, after they lied and said I didn’t raise a case in the timeframe given, but I did & they closed it themselves. Customer service is shocking and not helpful at all, even though I sent them everything they asked for, they’ve refused to help me try and get the money back I was owed. Can’t talk to anyone in person, you can only email and wait for a reply. I was told that would be answered within 48 hours, 3 weeks ago and I was still waiting for a reply when they banned my account. Absolutely awful.

No stars please Beware that vinted is helping scam sellers to scam on here and when you leave a review to warn others or explain about the experience in regards to the transcation they will remove the feedback so others can continue to be scammed they claim to offer buyers protection however it is not fully implemented and it would seem that it only stands for parcels lost or damaged in transit vinted is a bogus platform that is allowing others to be scammed baring in mind that they have already been warned for their bad business practice and conduct although it is a platform based in another country uk law is uk law and under consumer rights act they hold no weight they will turn on you and try to blame shift the responsibility elsewhere they will even claim that you have done something wrong but fail to provide significant evidence to substantiate their claims vinted is a bogus platform that has bogus terms and conditions and community standards and no buyers protection being implemented i cannot believe how pathetic vinted are allowing buyers to be scammed

App not trustworthy at all! , accounts just been blocked due to “not new item”. After years of selling and using the app with pleasure , more then 200 excellent reviews, they just block the account and you can’t due nothing anymore! They track your iP adress so making a new account they wont allow.. Not sure if I will ever receive my money for the allready bought and sold items on the platform. Customer and support service is garbage, they keep sending you standard generated computer text, and not 1 person capable enough that’s actually answering your questions to help..

I purchased something and the courier delivered to the wrong address and posted a picture of a front door that I was unable to identify. I contacted Vinted to say I haven’t received the item and they asked me to complete a form. I completed the form electronically as I was away and Vinted advise they would not accept this and it had to be a physically signed copy of the form. I explained I was away on a Christmas holiday so I was unable to do so until I returned on the 1st of January, they explained that unless they received it within 24 hours they would release the payment and I would not be able to continue with my claim for nondelivery. I explained again that I was away, but they repeated that unless I return the form within 24 hours, they would be able to do nothing , I even messaged the seller who confirmed they had no problem waiting for me to return from holiday, and when I can confirmed the same to Vinted, they explained it had nothing to do with the seller and everything to do with the courier. I explained I was away and could not do anything with the form until I returned because they wanted it printed signed and sent back. They ignored my message and did not provide an email address and instead released my payment to the seller, which in theory I have no problem with as they sent the item. They also close down the complaint of non-receipt and advise me that the matter had been closed. The customer service is beyond useless. They do nothing at all to sort anything out. They simply ignore emails or questions and instead do whatever they can to finish complaint as quickly as possible, even if it means cutting corners and not dealing with things correctly. They also charge you for insurance as a buyer, but in reality, there is no insurance as they do everything possible to avoid finalising things correctly or making payments out of the insurance policy. It’s not the fact that my £13 has gone to the seller as they in good faith sent the item it’s the courier that was nominated by Vinted, who has made the mistake, and there is no recourse whatsoever to them!

They state to have a seller protection policy however this is rubbish! They do not cover you or protect you when sending items despite having proof. They refuse to look into it or change decisions and their customer service is practically non existent. Stay clear as a seller, they do not care, nor will they help you. There are multiple complaints from so many people about the same thing- SELLER PROTECTION IS A FARCE

Avoid avoid avoid avoid! Do not send anything that's valuable, if it gets broken on the way, no matter how well you package it, they will say it is YOUR fault that it wasn't packaged well - you will never recover the money lost and you will never see the item you send ever again. That goes for valuable pottery, clocks, antiques etc.

I bought Ami hoodie new with a tag through Vinted but decided to resell it right away because it was too big and was no use for me. They removed the item from sale saying it’s a replica (after i provided all the photos of the tags, closeups etc) and asked me not to upload it again because it is not allowed. So the site sold me a counterfeit, took my money and after that issued me a warning for trying to sell a counterfeit item. I am absolutely shocked how they just left me with a problem after they cashed the profit. Here is their latest reply after they closed my claim to wich i can no longer reply: We regularly moderate item listings throughout the day, so occasionally some items might get sold before we have a chance to remove them. Your item is not allowed for sale on our platform, because the authenticity could not be proven. Even if the item was bought on Vinted, we would like to ask you not to upload it again. We're strict about complying with trademark and anti-counterfeiting laws, so no replicas, reproductions, illegal or counterfeit items may be listed. We have warned the seller about this, and if it happens again, their account will be blocked. We apologize for not being quick enough to remove the listing in the first place, and we're working on improving our speed in listing moderation. Merry Christmas! Daria || Team Vinted Merry Christmas to them too!
