Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. “If you book what is on the voucher then, like us, all should hopefully go well and you will have a good day. Our voucher was for a London gig - but we don't live in London and so we wanted to swap. When swapping, the voucher seems to be almost valueless and the excess you pay for the experience is more than buying tickets direct. Also dates are more constrained than buying direct because Virgin vouchers seem to be for the cheaper options - and this can limit the dates you can book. In the end we travelled to London and had a great night out in a short stay in London.”

“This was a 60th birthday present - what a treat! The food was amazing, and the setting overlooking the weir on the Thames at Marlow was stunning. Great service, excellent value Highly commended.”

“This was an awful experience. Staff nowhere to be seen on arrival and generally unhelpful. There was sand in the pool. When we mentioned this they denied it initially then said it was probably because the filters have sand in. There were many grotty unkempt areas. To top it all i was given mouldy bread. When this was raised with the staff they asked if i wanted another one (presumably not mouldy). In the end we went out to eat. We had intended a nice relaxing stay but to have to go out to eat didn’t help our relaxation. The whole building was freezing with all guests wrapping themselves in bath robes and towels in an attempt to stay warm. Many were complaining about the whole experience leading to queues at reception. When i spoke with the manager she asked us to send our photos to her. I told her she only has to walk around her establishment to see for herself. We have made a complaint to Shropley Hall. This certainly is not a place Virgin should keep on their books as it’s NOT A NICE VIRGIN EXPERIENCE.”

“WOW! Amazing experience and I was very happy with my purchase with your Virgin Gift site. I booked the gift for my partner and we booked approx 3 weeks before we visited the venue. The venue was excellent, redeeming the vouchers as very easy and the whole experience means I'd like to go back and take my mum! Thank you for a very enjoyable trip!”

“I’ve used virgin experience days several times now as it makes the perfect for all occasions and gives us an excuse to go out. I recently brought a voucher for afternoon tea for two at Caffè Concerto for mother’s day. We were able to explore Piccadilly Circus and what it has to offer before dining. We were served generous amounts and there was a great selection of exotic teas. For the price and offers that virgin experience days often provide its hard to beat!”

“The London Underground treasure hunt was a fun day out for all. The staff were excellent and Agent Alex gave a very good twist to the experience. The only thing I would say is that it was a little disappointing that you don’t get your travel card included in the price of the experience. Other than this, I would highly recommend this!”
