“I wanted to praise Mohamed in the Vodafone shop in Mare Street Hackney. He was so polite, friendly and helpful.
I visited to upgrade my mobile on 2nd December 2024 and again to upgrade my Broadband on 21st January 2025. There was a long queue in December but quieter in January BUT each time he was brilliant.”
“I have been a loyal customer for years, paid thousands but The staff are habitual liars, customer care is zero and they excel in stealing money from loyal customers.
They have lost me as a customer.”
“I am extremely frustrated with Vodafone UK’s customer service and billing practices. I’ve been trying to cancel my broadband service since August 2024, but despite multiple calls, follow-ups, and promises that my account would be disconnected, I’m still being charged ÂŁ114 a month for a service I’m not using.
I initially requested the disconnection in August 2024, followed up in October 2024, December 2024, and again in January 2025. Each time, I was assured that everything had been taken care of, but I continued to be charged. I’ve spoken to numerous agents, including someone from the ILS disconnection team and the retentions and escalation teams, yet the issue remains unresolved.
It’s beyond frustrating to be promised resolutions that never come and to keep receiving bills for a service I don’t have. I’ve now raised a formal complaint and will be taking it to Ofcom if it’s not sorted out soon.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Vodafone’s broadband service to be wary, as their customer service and billing systems seem completely unreliable. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience.”
“Had an awful experience with Vodafone customer services. If you eventually get to speak to a person instead of a robot you cannot understand a word of English they are trying to speak. Mainly they are rude, with the exception of a few and despite me trying to relay a problem with my broadband over 7 separate phone calls, nothing was ever communicated to Openreach. Needless to say I cancelled my account and want nothing more to do with Vodafone EVER! Think twice before being enticed by their cheap deals because it will end up costing you your sanity.”
“AVOID VODAFONE! They owe me over ÂŁ320 compensation due to being unable to connect my broadband on my activation date. BUT.... it's not the money that matters, when people lie to you, it means you dont matter. Choose a company who don't lie.”
“I just wanted to cancel the I watch add on subscription from my phone plan and you cannot belief how difficult they make it.
Difficult to find on app.. then when you do you have to secure sign into your plan. Then it tells you that to conduct that request I have to phone customer services by phone! The vectoring system then could not understand my my request. I am not sitting in a queue for the phone to be answered long enough to write this and no sign of how long it will take.
All to amend my plan…new provider coming at next renewal methinks”
“MIS SOLD AIR TIME CONTRACT. I was having difficulty using my phone abroad and called for help. While on the phone the advisor said he could make my air time contract cheaper. I was reluctant to do this as I only had 3 months to go on the current one and wanted to change provider. He assured me that I can cancel any time with no charge. I twice questioned this and was told yes I can cancel any time no cost. On phoning to get a PAC code I was told it will cost me ÂŁ245 to leave. I asked if they could check the call to see that I was told no charge. Yes they record calls. No they don't have mine. Yes I still have to pay to leave. No they won't budge. I have had 5 contracts with Vodafone for about 15 years. So next step for me is a complaint to Offcom and to trading standards”
“Vodafone Customer service is a joke. I had to change my contract with them. So I cancelled the number but something went wrong. After 5 months sending a letter thorough agency states have to pay un paid amount. I thought is a scam. I called. And here the pain starts. I am sorry to say that but they are useless. I have to go to the store to sort out a simple issue/ All i need is to cancel with them.”
“I have a portable 4G unlimited data mobile hotspot, which was perfect, as not only did i use it at home, i also took it everywhere, like Caravan holiday parks & camping.
I recently purchased a Ring doorbell but was unaware it needed constant wifi, therefore wouldn’t work if i took my portable vodafone wifi with me.
I contacted vodafone ( & several other companies ) i spoke to a wonderful woman called Serap, & she explained everything regarding adding another wifi device to use whilst i was away.
I now have 2 sim only plans, the same portable device, only now it’s 25G which is plenty data to cover the doorbell, & i also upgraded to a new 5G portable device for the house & travelling.
I can’t thank Serap enough for explaining everything to me in great detail, checking for the best plans to suit my needs & budget.
I now have 5G unlimited wifi for my home & a second sim to cover the doorbell whilst i’m away.
Thank you Vodafone & Serap for getting me the best deal out of many other companies i tried, i’m truly grateful.”
“PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING VODAPHONE FOR YOUR PHONE CONTRACT .. THEY WILL TRAP YOU AND BE TAKIMG ALL YOUR MONEY … GO TO E E ITS THE BEST SERVICE AND BEST NETWORK, EE ARE VERY CONCIDERATE WITH CUTOMERS THEY GIVE YOU DISCOUNT ON YOUR BILLS ..”
“I tried to call the customer care number but the automated person is stuck in a loop and there might be fraud on my account, if anything does happen vodacom better resolve it immediately, worst provider in SA!”
“Worst company to deal with , webchat full of Indians who doesn't t know their jobs , I topped up my sim to call 09083264512 and they restricted my access.”
“I keep getting billed for something. I don’t have a phone. I don’t have an account. When I give Vodafone my name and contact details they have no record of it. They can’t tell me why they are sending bills but they Keep sending them.
Apparently they can’t get a manager to call me but if I make a 20 mile round trip I can visit my local store.
They are so condescending. It’s a joke.”
“Ordered 3 phones for Christmas to be delivered to a relative to hide. Vodafone a) got address wrong despite being given correct one, b) tried to deliver to previous address when told I had moved and had correct current address, c) delivered only 2 phones. I have spent in excess of 4 hours today trying to get this sorted. None of their staff have English as their first language so can't understand what they are being told, do not read previous contact information, tell complete lies ie. The phone was delivered, the phone was cancelled, the phone was redirected all on one call. 4 separate complaints raised and not one call back from manager as requested numerous times. Appalling customer service. Did offer to deliver on 25th December when I had to inform him that is Christmas day in our country! Extremely disappointed and unbelievably unhelpful staff.”
“I owed some money on two Vodafone sim only because I left Vodafone and when over to three. The reason I let Vodafone because the customer service and the promps that are so annoying every time you want to get through to customer service. Because I left Vodafone they are screwing me and won’t allow me to set up a payment plan. They have told me to pay in full, which I can’t do. I am paying in small amounts by calling them each month. I have been advised by Experian to put a notice of correction on my credit file regarding this issue and I will be doing this on Monday tomorrow.
Vodafone is a disgraceful and disgusting company and their customer service is disgraceful and atrocious and I urge potential customers to not join this atrocious company.”
