If I could give 0, or -5, I'd be doing it. I don't know where to start with it to be honest. So, for some reason they removed my data (for a total of 2 months) which was an absolute nightmare because on the day they removed my data I started a community job that required me to drive and was reliant on my maps on my phone. Whenever I messaged someone or phoned, I was forever being passed around from person to person, which as you can imagine resulted in me being further from getting it sorted. Nobody knew what it was (at this point we hadn't figured out that THEY had removed the data). I went into the local Vodafone branch in Aberdeen and they attempted to help on two occasions, by resetting a few things and telling me it 'might work', sending me away for 48/72 hours and advising that I should come back if it didn't start working thereafter. As you can imagine, this was really quite infuriating. I'm a very patient and polite person but this was taking the mick, I knew fine they hadn't a clue what was going on and were just trying to pan me off. I eventually demanded that they cancelled my contract as I had been without data for about 2 months - I was paying for nothing basically. Oh, in this time I was forced to pay an extra tenner for data that they had added to my account 'until my actual data was fixed'. I had no idea that this would be an ongoing thing. Of course this didn't work because my data was basically blocked, and they tried to say that I should have phoned and cancelled it myself. They told me that because I was such a 'valued customer' (lol) that they would refund it for free - lucky me. So when I asked to cancel my contract, I was fully prepared. I had looked up what I was entitled to and was pretty raging so I was ready to just tell them I wasn't taking no for an answer. The woman I was speaking to had told me that it was going to cost around £180 to cancel my contract. I knew that there would be a penalty, but this was absolutely ridiculous. My contract was due to end pretty soon anyway. She advised that there was nothing they could do for me, however passed me over a number for the disconnection team. HERE is where it all changes. The guy I spoke to was honestly the nicest, most understanding gentleman I've ever spoken to with Vodafone. Initially, after I explained everything to him (it is quite a lot, so I'm sorry if this review seems all over the place) and after he checked my notes, he was totally behind my decision to cancel. I think he was pretty embarrassed with how I'd been treated. He had told me that whilst they were trying to figure out what they'd done to my data, they had reconnected me. I was aware of this, but what I wasn't aware of (as he kindly explained) was that this meant that my contract had kind of been rebooted, resulting in it basically starting again - hence why the cancellation fee was going to be around £180. He said this was a joke, apologised for everything, and to cut this long story to be short, sorted everything out, refunded me around £30 for my troubles (which covered my minuscule £7 cancellation fee) and last months bill. I absolutely 110% detest Vodafone. I'm with Giffgaff now, hassle and stress free. Do not go with them. Just don't put yourself through it.

If I could choose to give minus stars or no stars I would. Absolutely horrendous customer service! One of the team members processed an order for an upgrade I had absolute no knowledge of!!! The new phone was sent out to my house and caused me hassle having to send it back, I now can't upgrade my phone until this has been sorted! Will certainly be moving phon network, do NOT recommend Vodafone.

Credit check failed - I'm a rubbish for Vodafone. Ordered a SIM Only bundle for £19.20 / month. Didn't get any update about my order after 2 days. Order status "Delivered" but is not. Customer service can't see order I placed??! I probably got rejected after credit check (sick: because I pay for everything on time) and didn't get any result of chceck. Their system just deleted my order like a rubbish. I've contacted a support to place an order again because it was crazy that my credit check was failed but it's true. It's failed again - but this time I was notified straight away. Funny because Vodafone should accept my order - especially if I pay everything on time (electricity, broadband, credit card). Shame. You could have a customer (I was able to even pay for a whole year in once) but your credit checks is more important than that.

Appalling customer service - lie to get you to agree an upgrade and it takes you over a week and 8 phone calls to sort it out. They only sorted everything after I rang the cancellation department! Called today to check a bill. It took three phone calls and 40 mins to speak to someone who was capable of answering my question. My 8 year old could do a better job.

Everything has gone wrong. They have zero appreciation for loyalty, I have been with them for 17 years and it has been nothing but torture and I am the mug for staying. I couldn't possibly explain ALL the things they have done BUT please, please do not go with them. They WILL con you with extra charges and bogus customer service calls.

COMPLETELY IGNORED MY REPEATED REQUESTS. In mid November 2016 I made a Subject Access Request (SAR) to Vodafone under the Data Protection Act. I did this after appalling service from their bad service dept. The law requires the information I requested to be given within 40m days although the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) suggests that a reasonable response time is 21 days. Vodafone ignored me for 90 days then found my request and are 27 days into their  legal time. UNREASONABLE!!!! This company make a practice of making life as difficult as possible for customers who complain or who need assistance. If you are in that position I urge you to make a (SAR) . It may cost £10. They make this payment as difficult as possible by insisting it is paid by cheque (who uses cheques these days?). You will be told that they only accept SAR's requests online. This is rubbish! The law says that you can make the request by letter or by phone if you want. I suggest that you make the request by registered mail and insist that they contact you only by snail mail. This will cause them great inconvenience and expense, just as they do to their customers. Ask for transcripts of all telephone conversations and chat rooms. After my 10th weekly letter I advised them I was making a charge for correspondence to or from them. I should have made this charge after the 2nd letter. When this affair if completed I will invoice them and, if necessary I will take them to the small claims Court. Good Luck all. I will keep this site (and others) posted on my progress.  Good Luck and Regards, Frank M

Worst support ever! my account has been locked for well over a year now and I still can't get into it, which I then used the 24/7 support team on their website and every single support worker said 'this will be fixed THIS TIME i promise you' (still not fixed) I then gave up trying and i'm currently paying for my contract monthly without access to my own account! Terrible company. ps. I barely get signal anywhere I go...
