I didn't buy a strength training system

The 10 pound plates are way too big. They are the size (diameter) of a normal Olympic 45 pound plate. I can't image how much bigger the 15 pound plate is!

I purchased Prime bumpers (4x45lb, 1x25); and the v-lock 5lb/2.5lb set. Overall happy with these; they are spot on weight. The white lettering on the prime bumpers is already coming off (owned for ~6 mths). And I use mine on a lifting platform for my home gym which is inside my house. The prime plates also arrived with some scrapes and a couple gouges; it took more effort than I anticipated for Vulcan to resolve this, but they eventually did. I wanted to add a rack to my order (back in March 2020), but their phone lines were never open.

Vulcan was great. My items were shipped quickly and arrived sooner than expected. However, my emails to customer service were not responded to.

Hi Leticia, We are sorry but we have no record of any emails from the email address we have on file. Please check the email address you sent your emails. Thank you.

When initially shipped these plates only one arrived due to apparent negligence by the mail carrier. However, when notified by phone about this problem action was never taken to ship the missing plate until I called two-three weeks later to find out where they were. At that point they expedited sending another pair of plates. The plates barely measured slightly outside 3% of the stated weight which was acceptable since they were smaller plates (5 lb each).

I originally bought 7 sets of dumbbells. I looked around at several brands and these met all of my criteria including the handle size I want. The feel and look of them made me extremely satisfied. So for about 7 months or so I waited for more to come in stock to fill the gap with what I already had. Finally I was able to put in a pre order. Before they arrived I was sent an email saying that the writing on them was white instead of the grey like they are supposed to be and asked if I still wanted them, but they would still be the same price. Even though I’m pretty particular and don’t want a mismatching set, I’ve been waiting months so I agreed to accept them. Upon receiving them I noticed that my set of 55 and 85 had 34mm handles instead of 32mm like they are supposed to be, per their advertisement. The handle size was one of my main reasons why I bought them and my 65-75 are 32mm so now I have random mismatched sizes and it’s extremely annoying. In closing, a accepted a different color, NOT different handle sizes. Also the actual text is different size and spacing. So why would a company want to sacrifice their product quality, reputation and customer satisfaction and offer the customer an inferior product for the same price? To me it seems like profit was more important to them.

Shipping was fast. Customer service was pretty good although it took a month for them to respond to my complaint (although given COVID I cannot fault them too much for this). I was somewhat disappointed with the product I received, they offered to rectify the situation.

The equipment is fine -- just like you can buy from other sources. The delivery process is a pain. They send it via FedEx freight, so the delivery has to be "scheduled" by the freight company, and your equipment has to be signed for. Unlike Rogue, who uses UPS. No scheduling, no signature (unless you want it sent that way), much more convenient. Vulcan is fine in a pinch, since nobody else had the sets of dumbbells I wanted.

It was easy to put together, solid construction. One problem I have though is that my padding looks angled, meaning if I put a level on it there’s definitely a lot of sliding to the left. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about that.

Vulcan Strength equipment overall is reasonably priced (shipping included which is always nice) and solid equipment. I've been happy with my purchases.

When the open hex bar was back in stock, shipping was fast. Customer service responds within a couple days.

My only complaint is that the bar arrived with slight blemishes on the sleeves and small nicks at the edge of the end caps, like a single ridge on the edge of a quarter. When contacting customer service requesting either a discount to keep or a hassle free exchange (for hopefully a non damaged bar), they exclaimed that the bar was “made by humans and packaged by humans and therefore impossible not to leave some type of mark.” This is a) not true, since I’ve received equipment from other companies in flawless condition (I’ve also received equipment damaged far worse in transit due to poor packaging, for what it’s worth), and b) off-putting. Just apologize and offer the discount or offer the exchange free of charge. They also said “attached is the RMA and return shipping label so you can return the bar.” Um... that wasn’t one of my choices, and why would you assume I want to return? Why not say something like “if you’d like to return?” Even all the disclaimers warning what is and isn’t allowed in posting a review are off-putting, and somewhat contradictory. Amazing bar, smug and off-putting customer service. I will continue to buy Vulcan products because they are excellent, but their customer service leaves much to be desired.

The weights I received were the correct weight and are awesome. However, the squat stand was in poor condition, and I see no easy means of contacting customer service concerning it.

OK..I really like this unit! But! There was instructions to install, in correct way, the bolts, the nuts & specifically the WASHERS! There were 6 Flat Washers & 6 sliced uneven Washers! On one side I was able to insert the bolt alone with flat washers with the slpit-uneven washer & nut on the other end. HOWEVER!, when tried to duplicate the same the thing on sleeve it didn't work! Which is to say, I tried to insert the bolt with the flat washers but the hole was too small for the flat washer to go into hole so the head of bolt would be flush to flat surface of the collar of the sleeve just it did on the other side. So I had to insert only bolt on one side first & put the flat washer, the uneven-sliced washer & the but together on the other side. So don't know how well it will perform until I receive my bumper weights next month.

Nice bar. The nut and screws to mount the sleeve to the bar are truly the cheapest junk you could find. Pathetic.

i bought the most recent FID adjustable bench from the Pre-orders. My experience for the most part was good. The bench was shipped out right around the date of the ETA which was great. The bench came in damaged however. I reached out to customer service via email and they said they would refund me 10% and send out a replacement bench pad once it comes in (6-8 weeks). I was happy with that. But then a day after I got an email with the 10% on a gift certificate which had me confused so I reached out and the representative apologized and said she meant to say they would be giving me a discount, not a refund. So now I have a gift certificate that I don’t even plan on using since nothings in stock and I don’t need anything else. Other than that, the bench is great

I never got a response to a service request. Subsequent contact for an issue they were having was good. The products are great.

Ok, but see below regarding you sent me 5lb plates instead of 5 kg plates.

The GHD I received is functional, but there are some relatively inexpensive improvements that could be made to make it more convenient and easy to use. To make adjustments, I have to screw and unscrew knobs which makes adjustment a lengthy process. Using some large steel magnetic pins would make adjusting the equipment a lot faster.

Vulcan strength training systems sells decent equipment at a fair price. Their customer service is terrible.
