“Yurt was lovely. Comfortable and clean. Pool area nice. Site well looked after. Was disappointed to find that the communal cooking tent advertised on the website doesn’t exist. The on-site shop could be better stocked.”

“I was quite annoyed that I could not book for one night only, so we went for the two nights. The staff were amazing, the complex was very clean, well equipped and all the necessary services were available. The shop was well stocked and the Waveney inn served lovely food, catering for my son who has multiple food allergies.”

“We love this place! The views are so tranquil and relaxing... The facilities and the staff are really good. Only down side is they have a £100 holding fee (I thought!) if you break any of the rules, noise after 10 etc. which I am happy to accept. Only trouble is, they actually debit the amount straightaway and refund it back to you in a weeks time. I think this is a disgusting and unfair system. We did nothing wrong and yet I have to wait a week before I get it back!!! I thought that they kept your card details to debit from it if we did something wrong but no, they take it now. They need to change this as it's not fair at all. A very disappointing end to what was a beautiful weekend.”

“Lovely environment, comfortable accommodation and in the main, nice people. However some things let you down. You state that WiFi is available. Technically it is but it’s a very poor connection, so poor in fact that I wasn’t able to open your emails to me regarding departure and this review until after I left. Probably in excess of 90% of your business comes via online, that’s how important good WiFi is to you and your guests. Same disappointment aimed at your tv reception. If you are going to make tv a feature of your apartments make sure it works properly and doesn’t keep pixelating and losing signal. Especially not clever during an England World Cup game. The most important failure was the entrance door to the penthouse suites. Firstly there should never have been a lock on that door that needed a key to exit. That is the only means of escape in the event of a fire and I’m amazed that this wasn’t picked up in any safety checks. As I’m sure you are aware the lock failed during our stay and none of your guest, including children could get out of the building from 22.00 to 08.00 the following day . Many phone calls were made to your out of hours number before the 23.00 cut off but none were answered. I think you must agree that is far from satisfactory. There were a couple of other minor suggestion such as supply some simple door wedges to stop the doors self closing all the time and perhaps some cushions for the balcony chairs. Would I return? Absolutely if you sort out these annoyances”

“This is a nice friendly place with some decent facilities and a good pub. The shop is slightly expensive but very convenient as the nearest shop is a fair distance away. We were camping on one of the moorhen tent pitches. There were some fairly deep wheel ruts in our pitch, I think people have been using it as the road. Anyone planning on camping, bring hard ground tent pegs as the ground is very stoney and your thin pegs will not go in. Everyone we spoke to had the same issue. But it's not an issue if you know in advance. We had a good 4 night stay and can recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near the river.”

“Great place to stay, we took our touring caravan, lovely pitch, toilets and showrooms excellent , staff very friendly and helpful. Only one thing I was not very keen on the food in the pub, I had a chicken korma and I imagine it had just been heated up as it went cold very quickly but overall a lovely site to stay on and would definitely go back.”

“Bedding and towels fresh and clean. I had to clean the surfaces, windowsills and drawers due to dust and dog hair when we arrived. Also piles of dog hair left on the corners of the floor in the kitchen and living area. Shower and ensuite bathroom needs updating, lots of dust and hair again in the corners of the room. Mould in the shower. A pair of socks found in the drawer of the main bedroom. Tvs worked intermittently.”

“Lovely lodge only problem was the hot tub getting the cover off poor design needs two people to do it but no space one side to stand. The only way to do it is from inside the tub taking care not to slip over no easy for some people to do, gap between rail and tub unsafe for children. Great lodge for couples as rooms are at each end of lodge, everything you could need for a great holiday”
