Ordered and paid online for 'Click & Collect' in-store service. Despite receiving 2x SMS messages & a voicemail to say item's were ready for collection, they had to be picked from shelves when I arrived. Luckily all was in stock! Also a 30-min. Staff very helpful & couldn't be faulted but the system is rubbish!

On the 5th of July 2018 I ordered a Bath and Front Panel 14th July - Pallet delivered with a completely different type of bath but with correct delivery note. Luckily I checked it before the driver left, so he took it back in the van. 4 days later correct items delivered. Wickes agreed to refund the delivery charge. After partly unwrapping the pallet I discovered faults with the bath and reported it to Wickes. I had to send an email with photos showing faults for them to forward to the suppliers (Wickes Kitchens and Bathrooms). The next day I phoned them and requested an update and was told that the suppliers had not got back to them and they could not chase them up until after they had had 48 hours to respond. 2 days later I again phoned Wickes and as they had still not had a response I cancelled the order. They confirmed the refund would be triggered once Wickes had received the items back Later that day Wickes phoned to say that the suppliers had asked if the returning items were still in their original packaging. I told them they were still on the pallet (as delivered). They asked for a photo and I directed them to the photos I had already sent. I suggested that they were lucky it was still on the pallet, as I might not have found the faults until after I had removed and thrown away all the packing material. I emailed a formal complaint to Wickes Customer Services and received an automatic acknowledgement stating that I would get a response within 24 hours. I got no response. 4 days later TNT collected the pallet. They didn’t have a pallet trolley so needed my help to move it out of the garage and onto the van’s tail lift. The next day the pallet was delivered (in good condition), to Wickes Ossett Depot. 2 days later, and still no notification of the refund, I phoned Wickes to be told that they had not been informed of the receipt of the returned items but said they would chase it up. That same day I emailed a second complaint, this time to Customer Relations and received an automatic acknowledgement stating that I would get a response within 24 hours. 3 days later, on July 30th, with no refund or response to my complaints, I phoned Wickes and was told that I would receive an email notification of refund later that day, but it would still take at least 3 to 5 working days for the refund to be processed. As I had not had any response to my complaints, I asked if they could see any record of my emails. I was told that they were both on file and were with the relevant departments for investigation. Miraculously I received the refund notification a few minutes later. That same day I received an email from Wickes Customer Relations apologising for the issues I have experienced with my order, and the poor performance of their customer services. I was offered a £30 (cheque or Wickes gift card) as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. I rejected this apology and offer, as none of the issues I raised had been sufficiently addressed. The issue of the lack of any response to my initial complaint was not addressed. Later that day they responded with a clearly final offer of £50, which I reluctantly accepted (certainly not a gift card). Based on the poor quality of their customer services and delivery systems, I will certainly not be using Wickes again, and would recommend avoiding them at all costs.

Useless in the extreme. pay for am delivery, receive text message from courier saying delivery between 7 - 12 - turns up at 12:15. Ring to speak to "customer service" and are told "actually its between 8am and 1pm. Cant remember when 1pm was actually classed as an am delivery but hey ho, live and learn. Bunch of useless idiots. The wood I ordered for decking is yet to be delivered - apparently that's done by another courier that is not covered by the timed delivery you book on line. Avoid at all costs. I only gave 1 star as zero isn't an option.

I have had nothing but issues with the Andover branch. You would think that it would be so easy to click and collect your items. No!! Online states plenty in stock. They take your money, you arrive to collect, and “sorry we can’t find your items”. I’ve now got contractors waiting for materials and staff are saying it will take over a week to get stock. Sorry wickes that’s not good enough. This has happened on a few occasions. The Andover staff have no product knowledge, and couldn’t really be bothered to help you find anything. My last experience was yet another failed delivery. 2 jumbo bags of materials. Ok I will swallow the £30 delivery charge as you claim it will be delivered next day. Get the text to say between 8-1. Ok fair enough. Oh no!! This is not the case. Get a phone call to say the crane is broken on the lorry. Really!! It was working when I went I saw the lorry making a delivery at an address in the town about an hour later!! Now have yet another contractor waiting for materials. Sorry wickes you have lost yet another customer

I went into my local wickes for plant feed and on my way out I saw a kitchen wall unit for sale it was exactly what I have been looking for for ages and at a bargain price of 3 pounds. The staff were exceptionally helpful in moving items of the product that I wanted and helped by answering my questions.

Worse online shopping experience I ever had. Ordered a door that never arrived on the day of the agreed delivery, when it did arrive it was left with a neighbor and damaged. Arranged for door to be picked up didn't turn up, another day wasted sitting in still waiting for replacement door that's 3 days wasted waiting for a delivery. Never order from them again. Only scored 1 because 0 not an option.

Having used a builder from another website to carry out a lifelong dream of having an extension built, a new kitchen, double glazing, frenchdoors, this was my retirement money, for myself, my wife, grandchildren, What a shoddy ripoff so called builder has produced, We have been robbed of our dreams, we have been left without kitchen, double glazing,I’ll fitting French doors, no flooring, I went to wickes for our kitchen and flooring, a lot over our now depleted budget, the sales person went beyond our expectations, he showed us where we could make significant saving without cutting quality, he came to our house on several occasions to measure and remesure, they have stored our kitchen for us whilst we are completing the repairs, I can’t begin to find the words to praise them for their kindness . I cannot mentioned the name of builder just yet, or Website.

Ordered a petrol mower over a week ago. Wickes processed order and took payment. Due to deliver tomorrow but discovered they had refunded my money this afternoon with no explanation. After a long wait get a call to confirm they didnt have the item in stock. Pity I had to arrange to be in tomorrow only to find out they wont be coming. First time I have used Wickes online. Guess what? My last, too! Hopeless service. Avoid

Ordered Approximately 4 tonnes of gravel, 9 edging stones some adhesive and some heavy duty weed fabric for gravel from wickes for delivery. Received a call asking if delivery could be done a day early which was fine and then also a call on the day to advise the delivery was 20 minutes away. The whole experience up to this point was fine until I checked what had been delivered and realised I had been delivered normal weed fabric for bark which it clearly stated on the item. As I hadn't accepted the delivery myself this wasn't checked until I got home. The solution I was given was that this could be delivered the next day and exchanged. This is all well and good if you don't work however I am unable to just take random days off because a delivery is incorrect. I then had to use my lunch time hour to return this product to the closest Wickes store to me which it Warrington to exchange it for the product I actually ordered. I wouldn't mind what I ordered and paid for was actually £11 more expensive than what was delivered and what was delivered was clearly for bark as it stated on the front of the item so I am at a loss as to how this was mixed up ? Why would someone want weed fabric for bark when they have just ordered 4 tonnes of gravel ? and surely when the item is scanned onto the van the price difference should show up ? I have to say swapping the item at Wickes Warrington was pretty easy and the lady there was very helpful but what I am disgruntled about is the fact I ordered this for delivery to save the hassle of having to go into Warrington town centre to purchase this yet have had to do so anyway and the deliver charge is not cheap as it is. So now it has cost me £30 delivery plus my hours lunch plus fuel to get there and back as well all to get a product that I ordered correctly and was processed correctly yet was put on the delivery wagon in Chorley incorrectly which I am struggling to understand how ? And the solution other than resolving this issue yourself by going to the store which you pay delivery to avoid is for you to take a day off work and use a holiday or lose pay so that they can re-deliver the correct item and collect the incorrect one. So in summary some of the transaction was ok and some wasn't all I can advise is check to ensure you are actually given the correct product as had I not noticed I would have used the incorrect material but also would have been £11 out of pocket.

Just had a new kitchen installed by Wickes Exeter. Azad planned the design, then Kevin and Karen fitted the kitchen. All together the team that helped put our kitchen together were great and we are so happy with the result. Would recommend.

Ordered a new kitchen from Wickes, whole job from design to fitting was done by them. Chose Wickes mainly because of price, came in fair bit cheaper than B+Q and half the price of Wren once they had applied offers on fitting etc. Made the mistake of checking reviews after paying up front for most of it and there is some pretty bad one's out there for the kitchens so I was worried. But I have to say I couldn't be happier, maybe it depends on what branch you use and there local fitters. The kitchen was delivered in time, nothing missing or damaged. The fitter Kevin Tierney was amazing, he did a fantastic job and I am fussy. It's an old house, nothing is straight or level and it did take a bit longer than he initially p!anned. But the finished kitchen is perfect, couldn't recommend more, no hidden charges,no extra money asked for even though it took more work than it originally looked like. Whole thing done through the Rayleigh branch in Essex.

Ordered featheredge and battens and paid for delivery. Stayed home to take delivery only to find that the battens did not arrive and are not coming direct from Wickes but from a third party and they will not deliver without a signature. Order cancelled but have been told that i will not receive refund until they get their refund from the third party. Will not be using Wickes again.
