Returned taps and shower fittings to Wickes Epsom in person that were unsuitable but they said they could not refund me on my credit card because their own fitter had opened them - my refund had to be a cheque from another department. The cheque never arrived despite many, many, many phone calls to customer services. In the end, in complete desperation, I invoked Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Card with my credit card company who refunded me. I made an online complaint to Wickes who simply said sorry we will pass it on. Nothing else! Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

We ordered a bath in august 2017 and were told it would be delivered on 29/9/2017 they text to confirm the day prior to confirm the delivery would be made so i took a day of work the await the delivery. it never arrived not even a call from wickes to explain why rescheduled for 7/11/2017 same again no bath no call. currently on to customer services while they try to find the bath. if i could give wickes a no star review i would. VERY POOR SERVICE.

We've had an appalling story of incompetence from Wickes which they have been reluctant to put right in a satisfactory way. The result of this is we have been put to great inconvenience taking time off work to sort things out and have even had to keep our builder on for longer than we needed to. We will never use Wickes again, it's been a nightmare.

From beginning to end, everything was poor. We put our faith and trust in the designer and believed everything he said. In the end we found that the design was poor as it all had to be changed around at the last minute by the fitter. The fitter was not prepared and not enough planning was done. The installation of our kitchen started late and 4 weeks later it does not look like they will finish. On top of the cost of fitting there are lots of hidden extra costs which we did not realise were not included in the price. For example they cannot fit a hob even if it is part of the kitchen you purchase from them. We are still waiting for our hob so still cannot use our kitchen properly. The worktop started to bubble at the join within days of being installed. When the fridge was fitted it looked nice but you could not open the door more than a few inches. The list is endless. They have to be managed every step of the way. Things they say they are going to do they don't do or they can't do. I would never order a kitchen or bathroom from this company again. Very poor indeed.

Wanted to buy 7.5L of paint ( Wickes doing a 3 for 2 offer) so thought I would buy 3 x 2.5 L cans. Only had 2 on the shelf so got 1x 5L and 1 x 2.5L which cost £14 more than I anticipated. E-mailed customer services and got "the get out of jail" response " subject to availability" Hoping to get a full refund and take my custom elsewhere and never use Wickes again!

Stock levels are hit and miss, prices are not that competitive and apart from one or two exceptions staff are not very knowledgeable. Not enough trolleys available. Rarely more than one till open and usually a queue. I have left my trolley and walked out on more than one occasion because of lack of staff and got everything I wanted at their rival round the corner. I would only us this store as a last resort. Oh and the toilets are a disgrace.

Part delivery of order only. Remaining items failed to materialise despite someone being at home all day. Not re-delivery note left. They just never turned up. When I called them they reported "property inaccessible - unable to leave delivery advice/note". Apart from the fact that someone was at home all day, I'd suggest the letterbox would have been able to accept a delivery advice, or the items placed out-of-sight. Clearly they never actually attempted the delivery. I had to postpone my work. Rubbish service.

The only reason Wickes are worth one star is because I can't give less. Kitchen ordered and paid for in full (£22,000) in April 2017 with installation set for 18 September. Delivery of components made on time on 14 September and mostly complete: a few items missing from the packing list but these came over the next few days and cabinet installation was carried out carefully and professionally. Worktop measurer came the day after the cabinets were finished and said they’d be back in 10 days to fit it. This was then put back a day, and then two, and at one point I was told the worktop fitters were on their way and would arrive between 10:00 and 12:00 (it was already 09:30); but of course that was a lie and no one turned up. Wickes Customer Services are either completely clueless about what’s going on or, worse, deliberately set out to mislead customers for their own perverted pleasure. The advert says “Wickes – it’s got our name on it”. Well, Wickes, so far as I’m concerned your name is mud and until you finally acknowledge that you have failed to deliver on the contract that exists between us then I’ll not miss any opportunity to let everyone know how you operate.

I bought some fence panels 6' x6' which when delivered the very top one was found to be smashed, why do they think you are going to accept the goods in these conditions. I did complain but the replacement panel wasn't re delivered for over a week, very poor customer services.

Ordered 270KG of coal for an open fire, free delivery and dispatched the next day. Received a text message with a delivery slot and the driver helpfully brought all the bags round the back of the house where the coal bunker was.

Never order from WICKES!! Ordered my bathroom 4 months ago. Arranged at the time for it to be delivered tomorrow. Called today just for peace of mind to check all ok for tomorrow. To be told 'sorry we no longer stock your bath etc you ordered so some of your items won't be delivered tomorrow or ever for that fact, as we no longer produce them' WTAF!!! Happy to take my £5000 though, and keep it for how many months! Also happy to only tell me of this when I CALLED them!! Not to mention the stress it took to organise a plumber/tiler/kids out of the house/time off work to enable this all. Seriously FUMING 😤 Never going near wickes again! BASTARDS!

I bought a kitchen from the Huntingdon branch, the kitchen is lovely. Beware the customer service is disgusting. The measurements were wrong, and trying to make telephone contact with the kitchen designer was a nightmare, totally ignored phone messages , which we have all on record. I had to get in my car three times to sort deliveries out with her. Only to be told by the manager to get some of my products from Benchmark because the kitchen designer had not ordered items and I was paying a kitchen fitter to fetch and carry items, which cost me excess money. Then the fun began to try and get my refunds, which in the end the Hitachi finance sorted out as I paid in full but mentioned to them the problem I was having getting my refund. It has been an absolute nightmare and I have moved several times and had kitchens fitted so I am not a novice! The product is lovely but go to Benchmark do not deal with Wickes I never got a proper apology or compensation for my extra cost due to the irresponsible kitchen designer at Huntingdon. The manager there did say sorry when I asked to see him to complain, but this lady still works there so beware. The first comment she made when we first spoke to her in the showroom was men try to intimidate her as she is a young female, which I found odd at the time, to say that. I know why now after what I have experienced, she needs more training on how to treat customers and how to answer phone messages!! My advise get your own designer if buying from wickes, but I like I said earlier the product looks lovely.

We went to store twice to return a shower head that despite the packaging stating it was compatible with a pump wasn't! but my complaint is about the unhelpful and indifferent attitude of the staff. Maybe Wicks need to retrain some members in customer service and or employ people that actually want to work there. I have worked in retail and I know it is not an easy job but I was never borderline rude to any customer!

Click and collect service worked a treat. Staff omitted to give me a receipt, - is why I give 4 out of 5, otherwise everything ok.
