I ordered a item or my son spend over £500 to be told it was delivered by dpd I never received it, dpd said it was left on my doorstep no photo of it but have tracking of van been in the area American golf will do nothing to help

Condescending customer service and lack of knowledge. Called to check the sizing of golf shoes that wanted to order. Specifically asked if that particular brand was true to size. Was told yes they were so I ordered on next day delivery. Duly received but they are nowhere near the correct size with my toes crushed against the end of the shoe. I call back to try and resolve the issue as I'm now out of pocket and without golf shoes to be told "that's your fault for ordering the wrong size". I've now got to send the shoes back at my own expense. Double whammy on delivery costs. Will be the last time I order from them and I suggest that if you need golf gear then go elswhere where they know more and you get a better service.

First of all, I’d like to state that I’ve had a lot of positive experiences with American Golf and staff. But only when it comes to apparel. I’ll only ever use them for that again. In June I got some vouchers for my birthday and decided to go get fitted for some irons and buy a set, through the 0% interest finance they offer. The fitting went okay. It was mostly positive. I got to try many of the golf clubs and it appeared the fitter didn’t push me towards any brands. He also suggested going for shafts that with me being a new golfer, won’t grow out of in 6 months time. Another positive but also ironic. I ended up opting for the Ping G425s. The Mizuno JPX 921s felt just as good to me. I could happily have used both but I was told the lead times for the Mizunos were longer. Why ironic? Because I have been through delay after delay. I was made aware there was a bit of a back log and it could be as late as early September. Fair enough. Good to be told up front. About 5 days or a week before the clubs were meant ti have been ready, I got a call saying they will be delayed until early-mid October. I called early to mid October enquiring. I was then told it would be late October. I was told that the short delay would be a positive as it must mean they are on the verge of going in to production if not already. The day before the clubs were meant to be at their warehouse, I got another phone call. Mid December now. An addition 5 to 6 weeks on top of that short delay as they are pretty much in production. Understandably I was extremely unhappy with this. I asked to just cancel the order. I’ve paid over half the cost of the clubs. I could have put that cash I was paying on finance away each month, sold my existing clubs and picked a set up off the shelf because my fitting was just about identical to many I’ve come across on those shelves. But I can’t cancel the order because they’ve already given Ping the money to manufacture supposedly and supposedly they can’t get that cash back. I asked to speak to a manager. Not able to do that but they’ll speak to one for me. What good is that? I put in an official complaint to American Golf. Got an email back right away saying they’ll look in to it and get in touch with the store. After that all I got was a passed on vague update from the store that the order is processing. Nothing else other than another email stating that the case is now closed. Useless. Save up. Pay a local professional for a fitting. They won’t take your cash and then treat you with contempt. I was hoping to start building my set a step at a time from American Golf along with 2 of my friends. They’ve now been told to avoid them like the plague. Keep focusing on quick cash ins American Golf and you’ll be flirting with administration again unfortunately

Ordered mizuno irons 27th June. Was meant to be 6 week wait. I had to chase in August to be informed delay until Sept, then Oct. Yesterday emailed again to be told they will get someone to chase in next few days as they can't speak directly with manufacturer. I'm not convinced order has even been started yet. They honestly couldn't care less. STAY WELL CLEAR OF BUYING ANY CUSTOM BUILT CLUBS FROM AG

PreOrdered club and paid £699. Three weeks later order cancelled and told I have to wait a week for refund to come through. Spoke to Stacy,manager at customer service, worse than useless. If the managers are as inept its no wonder company toiling

Custom fitted for ping irons on 29th July. Was informed a 6-8 week lead time. Visited the store after 6 weeks to check status on order and was informed that delivery would be delayed till 16th of December 2021!!!! Considering I’d payed the £847.00 up front I believe American Golf should have called to explain the unreasonable +14 weeks and provided the option to cancel.

No communication after spending over £300 at American Golf Greenwich. I was told 4-6 weeks in June, still waiting at the end of August and no call with an update or apology. Its a shame as the actual custom fitting experience was great!

Like others my experience is a complete disaster. Was originally told 6 weeks for delivery of new irons. Two days before I was told they were ready and would be delivered to store in 2 or 3 days, which would have been July 27th. When I went to collect I was then told it would be September 16th. Now they tell me October 25th at the earliest. Nobody cares, they refuse to cancel the order and give you your money back. Refuse to give you a contact name for a senior manager to complain to. All they care about is getting your money in their bank. Their excuse is that a manufacturer's factory was closed for 4 weeks, how does that lead to a 3 month delay? Not even worth one star, utter disgrace!

STAY CLEAR. less than one star. Utter shambles. Took my dad to get custom fit clubs like many others in the reviews. Was told 6 weeks. its now been over 6 weeks, I had to call to ask where it was, they said now looking November/December- utter disgrace that I had to call them to get this information. They did not ring or email me advsiing of the delay. I ring up again to cancel the order for them to say they cannot do so because they're custom fit clubs!!? They havent even started making the clubs if they are not arriving until November/Decemeber. Disgusting behaviour, just want to line their own pockets and not offer honest customer service. Will not ever use again.

Custom fit ordered and I call when I was told it was due in only to be informed of a delay. I don’t have issue with the delay but would of expected a cal to inform me of such.

Even one star is a bit rich. Their happy to take your order, take your money. But constantly lie about delivery times, how and when the order is coming. No way of getting in touch with customer service. Absolutely awful service. Your best bet, is to use them for any measuring or trying a club out, then simply buy it online. I could have had more money for my clubs and bought the new ones for less, but felt I’d use a local business to help promote the area, but really wish I hadn’t.

25.06.21 I had set of irons measured in store and paid £815, was told 6-8 weeks. 01.07.21 email to say delivery around December, (is this poss Nov 21 or maybe Jan 22?). I emailed back to cancel order. They ignored my requests. I went to store today, 13.07.21 to cancel order and they say I can't as clubs personalised, even though they are far from being made but the order has gone in and that they can now get order to me for sometime possibly mid-Sept. Staff told me that they have 450 orders with delays because of Brexit and the pandemic.

Ordered a driver for Sunday delivery (extra tenner) over a week ago. I ordered on sat thinking it would land Sunday. Fair enough my bad. A week later however still not here. It’s late Sunday now. Sent me a dispatched email but the courier hasn’t got it. Ffs

Ordered a cobra king 60 degree wedge and not even a dispatch email been sent out. This was ordered over 11 days ago, and nothing sent. I’ve contacted them 3 times, has it been sent, why is it taking so long and a refund is now wanted. No replies off any of them. Mcguirks golf instead sends out confirmation email and dispatches with receiving in the space of 3 days. Utter joke American golf customer services are.

Waited two weeks for a putter to then be refunded as it was out of stock. Now waiting on a £290 putter, a week overdue with no correspondence. Also ignoring me on twitter DM. Very very poor service considering the money you are paying.

9th June 15:17:38BST ordered 2x2pk golf gloves paid with PayPal reported as being processed and tracking would be provided. Contacted American Golf several times and received replies order being checked.I had asked for reason for delay , but no information given or for item having no tracking details . I also asked if original item had been sent NO REPLY!!! My item delivered 17th June 10:20 Am. NO Apology from American Golf or reason for the bad delivery of my items or compensation has been given>BE Warned if ordering it appears this is a common fault with the delivery service offered.

Purchased a driver on the 02/05/21 for £399. They quoted me 3 weeks, max 5, delivery. Received a call last week stating I wouldn't receive the club until the 15th July. 11 weeks from ordering. I tried to cancel they wouldn't allow me too. They've since made an effort and said I can get the club on the 22nd June. Tried to cancel again, not allowed. NEVER USE AMERICAN GOLF. If in Leeds/Bradford area go to Express golf. I've since bought some irons from them. The service was fantastic. I'll never use American golf again.

After no contact, I then emailed on the 17th to ask the status of this, I received an email ensuring it would be chased up. Again I heard nothing so on the 19th I emailed again to chase this up and was told the order was cancelled due to the item being out of stock. It took that whole time for anybody to realise this item was out of stock and if I hadn’t chased this up then I dread to think how much longer it would’ve took for someone to contact me. Will definitely be sure to never use this service again and will be advising all friends and family of this. Extremely disappointed.
