i tried to simply find out where a chair was manufactured i tried by phone i tried by email i tried on the argos question site, i was either unable to speak to anyone in customer service or receive a reply to any of the emails i sent to 3 different different departments if that is the standard of argos customer service [ it makes me think you do not know where you get your stock from or dont care ]

Ordered a washing machine. 10 day wait for delivery date. 7am-7pm time slot on the day! The delivery driver called at 6.45pm to say they wouldn’t be delivering. Received a text message to say my new delivery date would be a further 10 day wait... called customer service. no apology, and couldn’t care less when I had explained I’d taken a day off work for delivery. Also 37 weeks pregnant, so can’t wait a further 10 days. Was on the phone for 2hrs to speak to a manager. Had to hang up and request via live chat to cancel Order and refund. Awful service received. I have cancelled my order, and re ordered from another company who can deliver in 48hrs. Safe to say I won’t be using Argos again.

I ordered a flymow yesterday morning on line at 11.11am paid for it. And the only slot was between 7pm & 11pm but alas my order never arrived tried to get in touch but had to wait till this morning which I was told it had been cancelled and would get my £83.95 back in 5 working days as you cancelled my order why have I got to wait to get a refund. I think your service is terrible not a tex nor phone call nor a email telling me it wouldn’t come. I don’t think I will use internet again to order anything from you again ( you get no STAR from me.

Went to Kilburn Argos from Watford as only place that had my much wanted item It was a heavy item and they did not offer a delivery option of the heavy item Found a car park in Kilburn, which had a delivery door of Argos in the basement, the friendly car park man in market car park offered to help me with package to car from said door! Went into Argos and asked them if they could put my item in the lift to the basement , No! Health and Safety , why? ‘Can I put the item in your lift to the basement car park? No! Why? Health and safety Then I asked for a trolley to take to car park myself, oh ok, but you need to leave a deposit, ok that’s fine, then ‘No, sorry you can’t have a trolley after all, due to covid😂 After several discussions amoungst themselves including a manager Are we not a loud to have trolleys at the supermarket? You couldn’t make it up When I explained that I had travelled from Watford, that didn’t offer delivery of heavy item , finally one of the men must of decided it was crazy ,what they were saying, and kindly agreed to put the box in the lift! Would like to say thank you to that shop Assistant Who saved the day and had common sense , Argos please don’t sell items that are heavy and can’t be transferred to a nearby car/van and maybe mention on your website if your store does not have a nearby car park or trolleys Argos please give your employee a medal and promotion for basic customer service & Common sense

I will not be dealing with Argos ever again and will tell everyone I know to avoid them. I bought a range cooker form Argos and it arrived with a fault fan. We waited a week for them to send an engineer to fix the fan who found that the cooker needed to be replaced. We then had to pay for an engineer to disconnect the oven ready for collection. We waited a week for the replacement and paid for our engineer to come back to fit it. Whilst our engineer was fitting it he found numerous issues as well as an electrical fault that tripped the new house wiring. I called Argos for a full refund as I have no faith that the next cooker they send will be any better. I have just been told that i will have to wait a week with a huge range cooker sat in the middle of my kitchen before they can collect it - I have a 6 month old baby and we are still without a cooker 4 weeks after we first ordered a £600 cooker from Argos. The worst service I have ever encountered.

Absolutely shambolic pretence of a company. I have tried to place three separate orders online and each time they have taken the money but not processed the order. When you eventually get through to customer service to complain and ask them to process the order at their end they just refuse and say you have to try it again at your end so they can take your money again! They should not be allowed to advertise that you can order online if the system is so flawed that it takes your money but doesn’t process the order. They now even have it set up as an automatic response online that if they’ve taken your money and not processed the order then you’re money will automatically refund within 5 days. How about fixing the bloody ordering system in the first place. Just a bunch of inept useless people. Very very poor. The death of the high street can’t come soon enough for this backwards, unresponsive and useless company. I will never place any more business with them and advise that no else should either. Save yourself the time and trouble and just hide your money away from yourself for five days and you’ll have the same result as if you’d placed an order with them!!

EXTREMELY POOR DELIVERY TEAM Purchased a dishwasher & recycling service to remove the old one. Due to the covid concerns, I disconnected the dishwasher myself the night before and left in a lightly sheltered area at the front of the house and turned over to drain as much water out as possible. When the delivery crew arrived, they asked if it had been left out all night. When I said it had, they refused to collect as they said that it would be wet. It was dry in the morning and I can't be certain that no rain got to it, but it seemed about as dry as a used dishwasher could be to me. I explained that I had already turned it over to drain as much excess as possible and that it was not any more wet than any used dishwasher would be. The lazy turds disagreed and still refused to collect. There were no mention about there being issues leaving outside when I made the order, only that it had to be drained. Draining any dishwasher to complete dryness is a near impossibility and turning it over outside drained more water than would have been possible if they came into the house to uninstall then load straight into the van. I suspect, it was one of their first deliveries and they were looking for any excuse not to load my used dishwasher onto the van and in their way. I had actually made their job a straight forward and easy one by disconnecting myself and having ready to go but was let down by poor service and attitude. When I voiced my dissatisfaction, the driver asked if I would be willing to pay for any damages caused by my 'wet' dishwasher to other customers goods in the van! At this point it was turning into an argument and he came back with his sidekick (small balding fellow with a face like he had a mouthful of wasps) for backup. The pair of them left shaking their heads like a couple of useless bouncers and me with an old dishwaher at the front door. If any water at all is an issue for their collection service, I would suggest the following: a different van should be used, they should have a means of wrapping to contain any water or they should not offer the service at all. Coupled with that, I also sat on hold trying to speak with their Customer Service for an hour to arrange a different collection date to be met with a dead line! Also, very frustrating and poor service. I will not be purchasing any large items requiring delivery from Argos again.

Ordered 2 beds that were due to be delivered in July. According to Argos they have delivered them. Not sure where as it wasn’t to me. After asking me numerous times if my neighbours have them (they don’t) they have now decided to tell me they have a signiture (I’d love to know whose, it’s certainly not mine and as we’re in the middle of a pandemic and no one is supposed to be accepting signatures!) but they won’t let me have sight of this and have instead said that this means they have definitely delivered to me???

Unable to order on-line as website would not process payment on any of our three accounts. In-store website would not recognise postcode but did when assistant put-in full address. Delivery text had blanks fir third party delivering it and blanks as to which website to track it on. Argos live chat too busy to speak and held for 30 minutes on customer services line and spoke to nobody. Parcels arrived without notice to an elderly persons flat. Well done Argos!

Disgusted - don’t shop at Argos unless you have supernatural powers- I have purchased a fridge freezer - I kept telling customer services that I could not find out that it was not working unless I had tried it. All they do is repeat like a parrot that because I have opened it and used it I cannot return it - I read out consumers rights but the parrot just kept repeating that I had opened it and used it I cannot return it- this is disgusting they are breaking the law and getting away with it

Absolutely shambolic service provided by Argos, especially the Newbury Park branch. I wanted to return a product within my 30 day return period due to performance issues and was told by the Newbury Park branch manager, Nadir, that I couldn't return the product as it was "used" and that performance issues related to customer satisfaction, which Argos doesn't cover. My point was that, without using the product, how is the customer aware of the performance of the product? There's good and bad reviews with all products so you need to take that with a pinch of salt. The customer ultimately buys in good faith and returning a product is in itself an inconvenience to the customer, especially during this coronavirus pandemic. The manager asked to me raise this to customer services in order to find a resolution. I subsequently contacted customer services and explained the situation. The customer service agent understood where I was coming from and asked me to contact Argos Technical Support who'd then be able to provide a code which I would then be able to go into branch and return the product. I contacted Argos Technical Support and provided them with the updated order number which the customer service agent provided, as well as explain to them the situation. They provided me with a code and assured me that if I were to go into branch and provide them this code, the product can be refunded. Therefore, I went back into the Argos branch in Newbury Park the next day and explained to them the situation, as well as provide the code which Technical Support had provided. To my astonishment, the same Manager - Nadir - refused and said customer services were wrong. Although he knew I wanted to return the item due to performance issues rather than it not turning on, he plugged in the product, turned it on, and then mentioned he cannot accept the return as it turns on. Hence, totally disregarding the point I made for my reason for return. Therefore, I went back home and called customer services again. However, this time, a different agent mentioned that the product couldn't be returned because of Argos policy, rather than read the notes on the order from my previous conversation with a different agent a few days before. I asked to speak to a Manager and, after trying to convince me that the manager will say the same thing to which I insisted I still wanted to speak to the manager, the Argos agent mentioned "oh there's no manager's around at the moment." That just seemed to coincidental to me. I'm still waiting to get this issue resolved but one point I'd like to raise to Argos is that providing good customer service should be more important than meeting KPIs in limiting the number of returned products. Let's put it this way: I will be wary to shop from Argos again and will inform my friends and family to do the same. Is the KPIs really worth it when they'll lose out on more money in the long run?

It USED to be good It USED to be good. Horrible customer service/lack of customer service. Out of date photos on the website, not accurate infomation, local Argos stores are closed so it is difficult to return the item, lifechat mostly offline, once it work the staff is in rush and rude. Never experienced such a bad service in the UK, wouldn't use it again.

Argos is a scam site. They took my money and sent me a faulty phone then refused to refund. Even after going through the various consumer rights with their management over the phone they continue to take no responsibility for the broken product they sold me. Their CEO Chantelle Kelly is a Corporate criminal, aware that they are breaking the law but she doesn’t care.
