“I would give 0 stars if I could.. disgraceful service, my online delivery just didn’t turn up, I was waiting for 4 hours and was told it was delayed when I logged on to check. When I looked again it said “sorry we can’t deliver today” no explanation as to why. I called their contact centre and spoke to some one who just did not care .. I then checked my account and noticed they had taken payment for the delivery, so I called back and was told I will get a refund in 24- 48 hours. That could be all the money I have as far as they know and I could need the money to buy the shopping they couldn’t be bothered to deliver.. absolutely disgusting Asda, particularly in this economic climate. Will never use them again.. Tesco have my custom from now on”
“Do not order from here my £60 food shop did not come , they tried to say it had been delivered when it hadn’t and I was rejected a refund , absolute disgrace!!”
“Don't order from there!! They didn't have half of my order, I got a text that they will give me substitutes but I may not accept them. When the delivery arrived, half of the substitutes did not arrive at all, the rest of the substitutes that I did not want, I gave the driver, he told me to make a refund in the morning. I did as he said and a day later the refund was rejected. I feel robbed.”
“Visited Winsford Asda on my day off to take back a top that was too big, I drove around the carpark to find all the disabled car-parking spaces to be full. As I came to the top of one of the isles there was a disabled space on the end, I checked there was nobody coming and it was safe to enter - an Asda employee called “Terry” of retirement age approached pushing his trolleys, I opened my window and explained to come past as I wanted to park in the end bay, I have never in my whole life met such a potty mouthed old person! I was met with “You can F@@k Off and drive all the way round as “your type of people really f@@k me off!” I think this was quite obvious by this point with his language. He then blocked the spot with all his trolleys and every other word out of his mouth began with the “F word” I actually thought he had Tourette’s for a few minutes, my young daughter was horrified. Just recovering from a small heart attack I decided to drive on and find another spot, I parked and got out of the car to be met with more obscene language from the delightful “Terry” feeling really stressed and upset I returned the top and complained to the manager. I then decided to go home as it really bothered me, as I left the carpark “Terry” gave me the middle finger. I will never go to Winsford Asda ever again.”
“Victim of Racial Profiling
Incident took place at the ASDA superstore in Sutton Surrey.
I’m a 44 year black male and have supported my local Asda in Sutton for over 12 years
I get on really well with a lot of the staff in various departments: Security, chilled, Bakery etc..
I was really left in shock on the morning of the 12th November 2022.
My App requested a quality check before I could pay, which has never been a problem, and most of the time the staff is so polite and welcoming, even sometimes will crack a joke and ask “how's your day been” except for one member of staff who had demonstrated Micro racial aggression as they were speaking to me in poor manner making me feel uncomfortable and made me feel judged incorrectly due to the colour of my skin..
So fortunate my children were not with me at the time to witness such behaviour.
Never would have expected this experience from ASDA after being such a loyal customer.😢
I have tried contacting ASDA and still no response..”
“long time since I have been in asda donnington wood. nothing has changed staff are the most rude people I have met. I had issue at scan and go and ended up getting talked to by staff like I was something on there shoe I walked out left shopping crying”
“Asda delivered missed items, and substitutes that were handed back to the driver as unsuitable.
The Refunds team refused to refund , even though I have cctv footage of the delivery guy taking back the returned substitutes -- 8 calls - no joy.
Pathetic customer service and they taking my money”
“So I use to buy my groceries at ASDA (store and online)
I normally would ask for delivery at home, and sometimes would actually go to the shop.
After 1.5 years of ordering online, today I moved to Tesco.
The service to deliver at home wasn't perfect (they failed 4 times before) but last weekend, they not only failed to deliver, but also the driver said it was "delivered" on the system.
Right away I called the customer service and they said "sorry sorry"...but nevertheless my account was charged 80 pounds.
2 days later I called, same thing, "sorry sorry", and after 3 days I had to call AGAIN, saying the money wasn't on my account and only then they confirmed that all was clear and the money would be transferred.
Missing a delivery, saying it was delivered, charging me, making me make 3 phone calls asking for my money.....tell me, is this a company who value their clients?
Oh of course they didn't give any compensation or anything. just a big "bugger off", so I understand and today was my first day doing the monthly groceries with Tesco.
You treat your customers like this and I hope you will lose them”
“My daughter and i went to Bournemouth asda to get a picture put on a cake. We were having trouble connecting to blue tooth. So a lovely lady called Tina helped us. Thankyou so much Tina you helped us sort a much needed christening cake”
“After 4 years of not using Asda groceries I though I will give it a go. What a terrible mistake. Almost all of fresh veg was broken, dry, mouldy...you name it. All unusable and hit the bin the minute it arrived. Customer service refunded 1/3 of it but 2/3 have been given as e-vouchers. 4x calling regarding this issue and every time different story. Today I spoke to Neil from contact centre....totally rude, unhelpful refusing to let me talk to a manager.... 22 minutes on a call and I am still waiting...
Asda obviously have TONS OF COMPLAINTS to deal with.
THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE. AVOID”
“1 star is generous....
ASDA Delivery should in fact be illegal. Certainly from the driver we had....
Turned up over 2 hours late after we paid for 'express delivery'. I was quite shocked to see when they finally arrived, they turned up in a car.
It is beyond food and higene standards and is not allowed in the UK. To sell frozen and refrigerated food which hasnt been kept in a cold temperature, I.e. a car. the food is likely to go off and give food poisoning.
Not only this, the driver chucked the food out of his car and left it OUTSIDE IN THE POURING RAIN. Disgraceful.
Obviously we complained and ASDA said this is OK as it wasnt their driver. Then after hours of arguing on the phone they finally admitted it was their fault and would give us a full refund. Great I thought... until the refund didnt come.
Now they are lying and saying it didn't happen. I am raising awareness everywhere I can and rest assured ASDA- you have been reporting to trading standards. I ask everyone to do the same and shut this shambles of a service down until they learn how to run a delivery business.”
“Placed my order for home delivery, I'm disabled, but today got a text to say cancelled. But at my allotted time slot the Driver arrived, I said cancelled by Asda, he checked his van and nothing for me. So why was my order cancelled, driver was not happy either.”
“Ordered food to be delivered from Asda in brynmawr over 2 weeks ago that never showed up, got in contact with them and they said one of our neighbors must have taken it in and said we would have a full refund in 5-7 working days. Thought that’s was appalling considering our shopping came to almost £100 and we had to wait. So then the money never went in called last week and they said the refund was still going through and they would chase it up. Only to have an email today to say we won’t be receiving a refund because the shopping was delivered to someone even though it wasn’t to our house. So basically they are saying we can’t have a refund even though we never received our shopping just they can’t prove we received it only that it was delivered in our area🤔🤬🤬”
“3years housebound and self isolating with all shopping done via Asda delivery. Ordered two types of bread none came although substitutes allowed so any type of bread would do.
Asda has no bread available as substitutes according to customer services. This is a lie. No huge supermarket has no bread available.
Was told to order some on next delivery- so we have no bread this week.
Their customer services department sucks.”
“Hi my mam has had. Stroke this year and I’m really disappointed to find that every time I go to my local Asda stores there is literally one disabled trolley which as u can imagine is never available. You need to make shopping easy for those who are disabled as otherwise you can’t get your weekly shop! This is not too much to ask otherwise Asda is being discrimative! Also when I was ther my back split and the assistant said she couldn’t help as people were waiting for assistance as you can imagine with a wheelchair bags and shopping all
Over the floor I was mortified and just wanted 2 mins of help. And as a nurse feel I should of been priority over an able bodied customer wait for 2 mins! Disappointed in you Asda do you value your disabled customers????”
