“The valentine meal for £15 was lovely,
the best meal deal I've ever had would definitely recommend it. Well done Asda.
We're an 80 year old couple who still celebrate valentine's”
“These are my experiences of my problems trying to use the ASDA offer

of soup and unlimited tea or coffee for over 60s until the end of March; also the reaction of customer services and ASDA CEO's office to me informing them about this.
On 18 January I went to the ASDA, Isle of Dogs, London store to shop and use the above offer. I was told this was not possible because one of the microwaves was faulty and no soup would be available. It seems the other microwave would be reserved for making the lunchtime hot dishes. I wrote to customer services telling them that this situation needed to be rectified and was amazed to receive a reply that seemed to show they had no interest in this and that I should take it up with the manager of the store. Therefore I wrote to them again telling them that as customer services, comments from customers should actually be of interest to them, they wrote back asking me questions about the store, the answers to which I had already put in to my first message - showing they had not even bothered to read the first message before sending me a standard reply to get rid of me.
On 31 January I went to the ASDA, Barking store to and try again use the offer. This time I was told that there were no hot drinks or meals available at all and there was no indication given as to when the problem might be fixed. I wrote to customer services again and have yet to receive any reply.
I will not be going out of my way to try and use the offer a third time.
Finally I wrote to the ASDA CEO. The response I got from someone, presumably delegated to handle my query, was that they were having an issue with the hot water and a store manager would keep me informed directly about what was going on. I thought this response was as glib as the one from customer services as it did not attempt to address: which of the two stores had the issue (presumably Barking but that does not explain what happened at the Isle of Dogs); why it was taking almost a month to solve the problem; customer services' original attitude.
People might be forgiven for thinking that, although this and similar offers generate favourable headlines for ASDA when launched, in practice it is not possible to use them. I note that I have heard about similar experiences from other people trying to use the offer e.g. no hot water was available for the offer but conveniently other hot food was still available.”
“Go to the pershore branch most days because it's by work. Lately the shelves are empty. Some days, especially on a Saturday morning there are only 1 or 2 tills on even though there are queues. On one occasion I was told I would have to use the self service even though I had bags of coal and there were 3 members of staff behind the kiosk doing nothing.”
“Went to Asda Keighley today as we always do every week but when we got to the tills the Queue was 15 deep with only 2 tills open we had a lot of shopping so didn’t want to go through the self checkouts . We waited 20 minutes then had enough and left the trolley and walked out . This company is getting a total disgrace only care about the cash. Customer service is a disgrace and too many self checkouts ?? Time to find a new store.”
“Delivery...never arrived! Booked for between 7.30 and 8.30pm...on the tracker from 7.30pm there was a driver has arrived message.....no driver arrived.
At 9pm still no arrival. Contacted customer services and was assured order would arrive by 10.30pm
At 10.45 a message popped up to say order was unlikely to arrive.
Contacted call centre again and adviser said order would arrive by 11.45pm
No way!.....
I told her this was in no way acceptable to me and to cancel as the goods( including frozen) would not be in a fit state given they would have been loaded at around 6pm ( possibly before)
This is my third bad delivery experience.
I will never order from Asda again.
VERY POOR CUSTOMER CARE...POOR UPDATING AND NO KEEPING CUSTOMER UPDATED!”
“Took my 4 year old granddaughter in the cwmbran store today and she needed the toilet I only opened the door and the stench hit me I told her not to touch anything but as I walked in with her the mess was.unbelievable it was stinking dirty and dirty disgusting people had put excrement all over the toilets and walls and sanitation bins I had to take her to my sisters who luckily lives near by it’s not the first time I’ve seen them like this”
“Absolutely gobsmacked at how expensive Asda is nowadays. We have been doing our weekly shop there for a number of years but were astounded on our last visit at the huge increase in price in a lot of the products that we normally buy. I also bought my beer there when doing our shop & always purchased 4 bottles of Adnams Broadside under their 4 for 3 deal. They have not only removed this offer, but have raised the price of each bottle from £1.70 to £2 so the cost has jumped from £5.10 to £8. We will be shopping elsewhere from now on.”
“The pharmacy service is consistently slow. Today in particular was painfully slow, this has been going on for years. But it would be nice to bare witness to improved service.
However I think it's more likely that I'll end up doing the sensible thing and switching pharmacies.”
“I ordered a grocery shopping online and the day of my delivery, the delivery driver left my shopping outside of my house, called me to tell me that my shopping was outside and hanged up. Taking into account that I live in front of a river and that there is load of animals around (including rats), that I don't know how long was my shopping outside, that I had missing items from my grocery shopping, and that I couldn't return substitutions I didn't want, I contacted ASDA to let them know. All they have done is refunded me the items missing and that's it. I told them I wasn't happy with that and they offered a £5 evoucher...which to me, it's ridiculous, very unhappy how they dealt with it and I'm not shopping with them anymore.”
“My husband and I, in our 80s, and I have broken my leg, called at Asda, Chadderton today Thursday lunchtime. We were buying a present for our granddaughter who has just bought a new house, Beth, a young girl, unpacking at the household shelves was so pleasant and really helped us. She was very considerate and kind. We were so happy with the present we bought. A really good member of staff to be encouraged. It made our day. Two OAPs”
“Slipped and fell on spilled yoghurt from a tub that had split and Asda were not aware of it until they investigated the reason. They quickly wiped it up and apologised, completed their in-store complaints form but so dead silence, they are not getting away with it 😡”
“Asda just essential salad cream is an insult to their brand. The taste is very very bad and bitter. Just because its cheap doesn't mean customers should have this experience. Just thought I should try it and it messed up my salad and I had to throw it away after a single use. A brand like ASDA should set standards”
“Prices overcharged at till completely different to what shelves say. Online prices not available in-store but you can click and collect from same store for online price”
“I've been doing home deliveries for years now and decided to do the delivery pass...biggest mistake! Since paying the yearly pass there's been an issue every week. They are usually late,no clue as to the point of booking a slot.Never an update. The young drivers are the worst! Weekly,it's either items missing, items damaged and the best one so far is i'm still waiting for my delivery booked for this morning. It is now 13:30. No update on app, customer service have no clue where it is.i've been told to wait even though the app says it's unlikely to be delivered.if they order doesn't arrive i can expect a refund that can take up to 48 hours. I have a toddler,i'm pregnant and my husband works long hours hence why we choose home delivery. We can't cancel the yearly pass so we are stuck waiting for useless drivers with half my shop (if i'm lucky) or in this case no delivery and no one to help you.”
“Appalling service, non existent help from customer service advisors who lie through their teeth regarding processing refunds, online orders delivered with with so many missing items, too many awful, substandard substitutes and online orders delivered to the wrong address to name but a few issues I have experienced during the last few months.
I am so fed up with Asda that I have made the decision to shop with Morrisons and Tesco's in future.”
“I would like to thank one of your assistant who helped me on a purchase I made, his name is Jenga from the Sefton Park store Smithtown Road Liverpool. He was so helpful, pleasant and he explained the item. The date of my purchase was 06/01/23 at14:24:21
Please thank Jenga for me”
“I have been to the Colindale Asda for over 20 years. Today I went to pay at the self service section. When, I finished it wanted verification that I am over 18. I went to ask a lady called Yoga to help me. She was the rudest person that I have ever dealt with in a shop. I was told that she could not do it as she worked 3 metres away. She then started to tell me to go away in the most aggressive manner. She then proceeded to tell me that she didn't care if I felt she was rude. I tried to complain to another member of staff who then told me to complain online. I will never visit this store again. Terrible customer service”
“I received my online order and realised 12 items were missing which totalled around £18.
I logged this online and requested a refund.
This was subsequently declined.
I then contacted the call centre and they have now passed my details to another department as they need further information. I was told to keep checking my emails for any updates.
I am totally disillusioned with the whole experience as I feel that the inference is that I am lying.
Sorry Asda but you have lost a regular customer.”
