“Had on line delivery in April with £58 worth of goods not delivered. Original order delivered to wron address so no facility to apply for 4efund on line. After dozens of phone calls to customer service and promises of call back which never came, letters written to head office and no reply I had no option but to issue a claim in the County Court and pay a fee of £25. No defence entered by Asda so I obtained judgment against them. Still no payment so emailed Head Office to tell them. They then confirmed that they would refund the £58. I had to write again saying the still owed me court fee which they reluctantly agreed to pay sometime later. No apology and no explanation. An example of extremely bad customer service compared to Waitrose and Marks and Spencer. Its worth paying more (if in fact you do as the food from Asda is not always fresh), for the excellent service from them. I will never shop with Asda again.”
“Went in Asda, Hyde, Cheshire several days ago and you would know there was a Coronavirus scare still prevalent. Majority of the customers were wearing masks, but hardly any staff wore a mask, they did not social distance at all. The one way system as gone and they did not social distance at all, It was uncomfortable and frightening. I will not use Asda stores while there is a coronavirus scare. Please be aware if you do go in Asda.”
“Do not use Asda's online grocery delivery service.
My order to be delivered 27/7 between 7-9pm, failed to arrive, contacted Asda and a manager was to give me a call back 10-15mins ...week later still no call. With order supposedly cancelled 27/7, 4 days later 31/7 Asda took payment from my account. Contacted Asda again as this is theft, details of situation taken and told that nothing could be done as payments/refunds department closed and to call back 8am 1/8 and ask to be put directly through to the department. Called 1/8 at 8an asked to be put through, asked what it was regarding had to explain situation yet again. The lady I spoke to took details assured me it had been passed to management of the department and that I would be refunded within 24hours. This is now the 3/8 still no refund, no call back from management, no delivery, contacted Asda again today details of situation taken yet again. The lady I spoke to said she had spoken to the manager in refund department and due to high volumes they never got to me. This is unacceptable and obviously shows Asda is not living up to their promises. I have been told again today that a refund will be with me within 24hours and also told they always honour their promise......obviously I have no faith in their promise as they have not upheld any of the promises made. A week later due to Asda failings, taking no responsibility for their actions. I am still having to waste my time and money due to Asda's incompetence trying to get my money returned which Asda had no right taking in the first place.”
“Went to Asda queslett great Barr today and I dont understand why they have take the arrows and no entry signs off the floor In the isles. I know masks are to become mandatory are they going to refuse entry to those not wearing one , I noticed a number of people without a mask.”
“Had Asda home delivery since March. Drivers have been fine but not today. will never use Asda again.
They had no masks and stood inches away from us as we emptied the boxes despite my mentioning social distancing.
These people need training and maybe a tape measure to teach them what a metre or 2 metres looks like.
Sickened and worried about them breathing on us”
“Why do you sell out of date food?
Last week we did a click and collect from the Bromsgrove store and recieved 2 packets of pork sausage that were already Out of date, blown up and rancid smelling. Worried these might seriously poison someone we complained to Customer Service who promised to give feedback to the store to read the dates prior to picking. This week we’ve had Naan breads the same, already out of date. Hopeless. I either check the whole shop on the car park or cancel further C&Cs due to the fact we can’t trust the dates. Should have sent the sausages to Enviromental Health as obviously Customer Service didn’t pass on the memo.....”
“With respect to online shopping its almost pointless. So many items get removed because they are out of stock you end up having to go shopping physically anyway. Just renewed my yearly delivery pass and have totally regretted it.”
“Ordered 7 loafs of bread for a family of 4 for 1 week and received just 1.
Trying to sheild my mother who has dementia as well.
Even had subs ticked for the bread and not received nothing twice.
Done this twice now on the trot with the previous order before that receiving only 2 loafs of bread when ordered 6 for the week.
I cannot see shortages on bread.
No bags as well what a inconvenience.
Pure vindictiveness from grimsby asda because i ordered too many loafs of bread i suspect with the 2 orders.
Yet both orders were for 1 weeks shopping for a family of 4.
They will lose hundreds possibly thousands of pounds in orders as well over the coming months, years as i will now shop elsewhere.”
“asda used to be a good store. During this Covid period you couldn't get a delivery due to high drmqnd but they still were willing to charge each month for delivery just spent three days to get through to opticians and they never answer phone. Wtote to head office and they ignore you. Sorry back to Aldi I think.”
“Where to start?? I ordered a grocery order that turned up two hours late with no explanation or apology. Prior to it actually turning up, I made the mistake of thinking the customer service team would actually be helpful, so gave them a call. Instead I was told by the gentleman that I had to wait till 1am and if it didn’t turn up then, it wouldn’t. When I said that’s not good enough, he retorted “what do you want me to do about it?”. I then asked for him to put me through to someone more helpful and he just stayed silent. I then asked for his name and he also stayed silent.
When the shopping eventually arrived, 30 items (yes 30!!!), were missing! Then the frozen items that did arrive were defrosted and the fruit looked like it had been stomped on!
This has 100% put me off using ASDA ever again and I would strongly advise that if you want your shopping to turn up, avoid Asda!!! Disgusting service!!!”
“A few weeks ago they drove into the neighbour's archway... This week they forgot 18 items from my shop and apparently there's nothing they can do. I've waited all day for the food to come, now I'm having to go out shopping anyway. I can't believe it!”
“I have continued to perceiveer with asda , and have been a customer for over 30 years , but no more , even after sending several emails to the CEO and customer service, the results get worse and worse, missing items, substitutes, cancelled deliveries, click and collect not being there, and now this weeks delivery has out of stock items with no substitute available, and some price increases of up to 60% , not only will I cancel my account but will now never shop at Asda again , before my emails to Asda I had never once in my life written a complaint, or posted one , your company has become an absolute joke.”
“Just a review for a lovely driver named nyle in Nottingham. My family are in total lockdown and the service he provided was second to none. He placed all our shopping in bags and carried them to the door, he was a superstar in our eyes.
Thanks so much.
Cheryl Bird.”
“Re: Asda visit Monday 13th July Queslett Road Great Barr. Congratulations!!! to the order picker who bulldozed into myself and another person whilst coming down the aisle the wrong way and easily within two foot distance of both of us, who when I challenged her shouted at me "The one way system doesn't apply to us!!!. When I pointed out she couldn't possibly maintain a 2m distance she just glared and cleared off. How can there be such a momentous lack of comprehension of the current situation that supposedly trained Asda staff are treating the company and its customers with absolute contempt and getting away with it?”
“I have just spent 45minutes waiting for one of your drivers, who was delivering items to a private address,he totally blocked off the road in grove terrace penarth, after 30mins asked how long he was likely to be,my result was he took his time walking at a snails pace,I will not be using asda in future!!”
“I bought some little angels nappy pants I definitely will 100% recommend them to other parents they do exactly what they say on the pack and have cute designs on the front and back. I would also recommend there nappies from new born to toddlers sizes I've used them from my baby first been born until now”
“I usually shop at Tescos who are great and accommodating to NHS employees. After a long day at work Ive gone to the front of the queue on a few occasions and Tescos have always let me in when I've shown my NHS card. The checkout assistants in store have even told me that that is Tescos policy to do this for NHS staff.
I went into the Asda in Huyton and was told by a rude little male member of staff that I could not have priority entry as NHS staff, and I should come back between 8-9 Mon Wed and Friday 'when NHS can shop'. I told him I couldn't do this as I have to do the school run at this time before rushing into a long day at work, but he still wouldn't let me go in.
SHAME ON YOU ASDA!”
