Just a warning: I got scammed by the Balsam Hill company. I bought a tree on sale for $1800.00 and less than a year later, most of the lights went out. They gave me a very hard time about replacing it and even suggested that I go to Home Depot and buy more lights to put on there. Finally I got them to replace it but they wanted the original tree back. My poor husband and I had to wrestle a 9 ft tree into 2 refrigerator boxes and return. They then sent me a replacement tree that was $300.00 cheaper because mine was out of stock. The new tree lights lasted 1 year again! That time when I called they said “we don’t warranty replacements.” So in other words, they replaced my defective tree, with another defective tree. Their customer service is horrible. I would never buy anything from them again. We thought we were investing in a tree to last for many years. Not the case. This year we are going to cut all of the lights off and restring. We have to try to get our moneys worth. For 2 older people, this is very difficult work. Very sad that they do not stand behind their products.#balsamhill

I would give Balsam Hill a zero if that was an option. We bought this expensive tree and the lights went out the first year. After arguing and fighting to have the warranty honored the new tree lights went out as well. We were told there would not be another replacement. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

We spent a little extra on the balsam hill tree was great for 3 years then after that nothing worked. Weird how the warranty is only for three years. Get a cheap tree and buy one every three years for the price you pay for this tree. Customer service is ok however Steven was as helpful as 2 legged horse .

Purchased a 9' California Baby redwood tree, rolling stand and storage bag late 2022. In January 2023 when putting away, found the bag they said to get did not fit. Told me, they would replace but backordered-all this year. Just off the phone for a third time and told- sorry no bag as it was only under warranty for 30 days (that would mean I would have had to know it didnt fit "before I tried it" All the running email traffic inquiring was simply soon, soon. Just off the phone and told sorry too long, and besides the rolling bag doesnt fit the baby redwood rtree (which was never told to me nor shown in any advertisement. If I could rate "0" I would

We have had trouble with our Balsam Hill Christmas tree from the beginning. Every year we have to fight with the lighting. Last year we just strung on new lights to get by. This year I am attempting to repair each stand of lights. Zero help from the manufacturer. I wouldn't recommend this product to anybody unless you want to replace it every year.

I have had a replacement tree stand on order for 10 months that is “back ordered” When I called customer service I was given an attitude from the get go because I could not locate my order number. Come to find out the website is under maintenance and no one can access their accounts to get their order history. They can’t give me a date or even confirmation that I will ever receive the replacement part necessary to utilize my $1500 tree. Which I absolutely love so that is the worst part of this. Really want to put our tree up but looks like I am outta luck. I have received the run around for months. I find it hard to believe they don’t have a tree stand to send me that fits my tree I purchased less than 2 years ago. Very disappointed

Bought the 11 foot Vermont white Spruces with color and clear lights as someone just previously wrote same scenario We are out of warranty but we have a big pile of c*** That's only half of it lights up horrible customer service only to here we only warranty it for 3 years are you serious... that technically is a 90 day warranty we only put our tree a month out of a year we paid over 2700. Dollars for a Christmas tree I guess jokes on us

Bought a tree and received a $50 first time buyer discount. They dropped the price $100, 2 weeks later but only offered a $50 rebate. Not the full price match they claim. Tree is also average quality. Not a very good value. We returned ours.

The upper sections stopped working so I contacted customer support. Sorry, the tree is 10 months out of warranty. $1000.00 pile of trash after just 3 years and 10 months. I thought paying up to buy from Balsam Hill meant buying quality. Absolutely wrong and will buy elsewhere for far less from now on.

Spent $1500 on a Vermont White Spruce 11 foot pre-lit tree about 5 years ago. Sections of lights did not work, and they shipped new sections months later. Now out of warranty, many strands out. I have used all of our replacement bulbs and repaired strands, then called Balsam Hill to purchase new bulbs. UNAVAILABLE! They do not carry the replacements bulbs. They told me to re-string the tree, which has over 3600 bulbs! They said I could buy replacement bulbs from a website or Amazon. Contacting the company Balsam Hill recommended, they do not carry the bulbs, never have, and stated they get calls all of the time from Balsam Hill customers referred to them. Can't find any replacements on Amazon to fit. Evidently Balsam Hill DOES NOT worry about customer service and satisfaction. They want sales, but don't care about service. We have a $1500 tree that is rapidly becoming "unlit" without hours and hours of restringing. If we had known in advance their "lack of caring" a few years down the road, we would NOT have purchased the tree! We definitely will NOT purchase again from Balsam Hill.

We bought a new Balsam Hill in 2021. In 2022 a portion of the lights went out. We wrote to Balsam Hill and we got a new tree a few days before Christmas, I think 12/22/22. So we didn’t use that tree last year. Got it out this year and I’m not sure it’s even the sane tree. Branches are turned over, one is a bit loose. I will never buy another Balsam Hill.

Ordered a Berkshire Mountain Fir. Cannot express how disappointed I am especially given the price point. Even though the branches were "fluffed", the tree is very sparse and it looks as though half of the lights were not installed on the pre-lit tree. For the price, one would think that it would have many more lights. Will never buy again and would suggest that others stay away. This tree looks as though it was purchased from the Dollar Store.

i bought a tree from them about 5 years ago and right out of the box, the bottom lights did not work. we followed ALL instructions, then i could not reach any one with any of their contact info and no one got back to me thru all the messages i left, i even wrote a letter. SO DISAPPOINTED. I have been telling everyone i know!

I ordered the BH Fraser Fir Meadow Wreath from the sale page. It was 1/2 price, but still $64.99. The wreath I received was all plastic, needed to be fluffed, it is ugly. I can get a better wreath at Walmart. We have a tree and love it. So this purchase will be our last!

RUN! Do not buy from this company. They advertise their trees as being a completely different price from when you check out. I contacted their customer service department, providing screenshots, and the gentleman said that there was nothing they could do. The price, which was $200.00 more than the advertised price, was the price (before taxes) at checkout. Very clever, and I am sure some consumers just go along and pay the price at checkout.

DO NOT ORDER FROM BALSAM HILLS !!! It is a waste of money. My tree looked great the first Christmas, but the second Christmas, half the lights were out. I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. They suggested that I buy new lights and restring them on the tree myself. I put the tree out for the trash and bought a gorgeous, much less expensive, tree at "At Home".

BUYER BEWARE! NO REPLACEMENT PARTS! I purchased a 12' Alpine Balsam Fir® Tree Pre-lit Christmas Tree from Balsam Hill in November 2019 and was overall very happy with it. However, when I set it up in December 2022, I discovered that 5 branches of lights were not working. Even though the tree wasn’t under warranty I thought I could get replacement parts as it says in the instructions and care guide. (They actually say to check the fuses and bulbs and replace if necessary — but not this tree model!) I called customer service to inquire about replacement parts, but was disappointed to learn that they do not support repairs or replacements for the "fairy lights" on the tree. The bulbs cannot be replaced individually, there are no fuses, and a replacement string cannot be purchased. (It doesn’t mention this on their website and again, the instructions indicate you can change the fuses and bulbs. The only solution Customer Service offered was to send me a separate string of regular lights that I would have to plug in to a separate outlet. Even more frustrating, Balsam Hills still makes this tree so I know the parts exist. This is unacceptable. I spent over a thousand dollars on this tree, so I was more than disappointed with this lack of support from Balsam Hill. The company claims to be "dedicated to providing outstanding customer service," but I feel that basic customer service would include actually supporting the products they sell. Unless this policy changes, I will not be purchasing another Balsam Hill tree in the future. In late October, I bought the Balsam Hill Winterberry Forest Wreath for $229.25. In December, I proudly put it on my front door for display during the holiday season. I recently took it down and noticed all the evergreen branches had "frizzled" on their ends-basically melted. We live in Minnesota, so much of the season is below zero. When I called and talked to Blanca, Customer Service, she told me it was beyond the 30 day warranty, and there was nothing she could do. When I explained that BH should stand behind their products, even if the manufacturer does not, Blanca just reiterated her 30 day warranty several more times. When I bought the wreath in October, the warranty was already void before I ever hung it on the door. I should have gone to Hobby Lobby or Target and bought a $49.99 wreath and replaced it for the next 5 years - I would be further ahead! BUYER BEWARE - BALSAM HILL DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!

***CANADIAN SHIPMENT WARNING***: In early 2023 I place an order for a 10 foot Balsam Fir Narrow tree with shipment to Canada after careful review of international shipping instructions and guidelines on the Balsam Hill (BH) website. An additional fee was paid to facilitate the international shipment. Shortly after purchase I received a telephone call from the BH sales office indicating the tree was in stock but could not be shipped from the BH warehouse to Canada and that my purchase would be refunded to my credit card. The order was cancelled, and I later received a refund. I lost $85 in the currency transfer. I’m disappointed in the false information provided on the BH website related to international shipments to Canada.
