Possibly the worst customer service from any retail establishment - all overseen by a dismissive manager who condones ill-behaved staff (not all) like a dad who’s feral kids who can do no wrong.
It a paying customer dares to question staff conduct, the manager immediately accuses them of being rude, rather than acting in an unbiased manner.
Staff are allowed to damage goods that are being purchased, are encouraged to physically intervene when a customer is inspecting an item for sale and supported in giving unsolicited, incorrect legal advice.
Makes a used-car dealership look professional.”

“I am very disappointed with the Manager of the Cash converter Branch at Mill Road in Cambridge. This Young lady was so mean, Childish and unprofessional. After Purchasing the wrong items and going back to the store for advise, exchange or just to seek a resolution, the woman start shouting at me as if I was criminal. It is normal to go back to the store and make enquires if you are not satisfied with your product.. But this woman, the way she reacted was very unprofessional, and I felt Discriminated, may be due to my skin color.. I am 100% Sure if I was a white young man I wouldn't be reacted upon the way she did. I wonder how she Could be appointed to managerial role in any reputable Company.”
“Cash Converters are a major scam!!!
I bought a brand new ps4 controller which was a copy of the original. When I took it home my son did not like the copy and I rang the ilford branch up where I bought it from I was told they do not do any refunds by the assistant and the manager.
I then rang another branch and was told that all cash converters do a refund if the product is brand new and within 14 days. I then went to the branch and asked to speak to the manager. She was adamant that cash converters have a policy of no refunds fullstop, I then asked her to give it me in writing so that I can contact trading standards and the head office, she started stuttering and ahhing and ooing and she said ok then give me your card, she eventually refunded.
The manager in Ilford is racist and discriminates and uses her own set of rules to defraud customers. Be ver very very careful when you deal with the Ilford Branch.”
