"NEVER EVER BUY FROM DICK SMITH AGAIN. For a big household name like Dick Smith, their advertising is deceitful and misleading; Avoid at all cost! I've told all my friends and relatives not to buy from them as well. Its so easy to miss a line in their long flashy looking ad and get caught up in a nightmare after sale. Their respond to email time is atrocious after sale! Plus they wrote in their emails, \"At Kogan.com, we......\" I purchased from Dick Smith Website, a supposedly more trustworthy brand, not Kogan. So Kogan is hiding behind Dick Smith??? It seems like such a big scam, and we feel very cheated!\r\n\r\nThey have an Apple Iphone 15 Pro for sale on their website at the moment, but it's an international model that doesn't support Face time audio. They conveniently left out INTERNATIONAL MODEL wording in the title and put the description somewhere else (to appear legit)- buyers mostly focus on the titles of the items for sale, plus consumers tend to believe if the product is for sale in Australia then its deemed suitable for Australian use (we use Facetime in Australia).Their sales techniques are so deceptive that it's very un-Australian. We thought Dick Smith always stand for the great Australian value. What a shame. We will take this matter further, although we might not get anywhere, we truly hope others won't make the same mistakes we made and got burnt like this. Very unfair.\r\n\r\nThe packaging box was dirty, with foreign language printed on it, we were suspicious straight away. We feel so stupid about this whole thing. Till this day, we still haven't turned on the phone yet. We are extremly upset and disappointed. NEVER AGAIN BUYING ELECTRONICS ON LINE, NOT FROM DICK SMITH ANYWAY."

"Yep, I too got caught with the $129 'First Membership' hidden on the invoice. Where are the regulators? This is a scam. It absolutely destroys trust in online shopping. And to make matters worse, it has an AUTO RENEWAL attached to it. So we get shafted not once, but twice! How do these people sleep at night knowing that their conduct is so dishonest, so deceptive? I will never again buy from this organization."

"Disk Smith was from a great company dropped down to be a scammer. It stolen my $129 from my PayPal account without my agreement. They embed something in their website to pass your checking without noticing you. Saying it's a membership. I'll told everyone I known about $129 for a Dick Smith membership for buying anything there. I will report this to ACCC for their scamming behaviors."

"I ordered a brand new iphone X as advertised and was expecting a brand new iphone as mentioned in the Dick Smith website, but received a faulty, old iPhone and had to go through hell. I couldn\u2019t even switch it on. I contacted Apple support and they couldn\u2019t resolve this and they advised me to take it to an Apple store, which I did. There they found out that this phone is not brand new.\r\n\r\nThen I sent back the phone as Dick Smith advised and received a replacement phone.\r\n\r\nI was sent a replacement phone , replacing non-brand new, non-working iphone, but I again received a faulty, old iPhone which does not even start. This was very disappointing to have continuously sending faulty phones, which I though Dick Smith is a genuine and reliable online seller. When I put the iPhone to charge as soon I received for hours it doesn\u2019t even startup. I contacted Apple support and they couldn\u2019t resolve this and they advised me to return the phone to the seller. To my surprise, that phone was not a new phone as well.\r\n\r\nAfter going through all the hassle, Dick Smith just offered me a refunding option even without consulting me on that. As a courtesy, DS didn't even offer me available options and also, I was expecting a brand new working phone as mentioned in the returned product as well.\r\n\r\nGoing through this bad experience twice, I would never recommend anyone to buy from Dick Smith, they are scamming customers.\r\n\r\nDon"

"Dick Smith automatically signs you up for their First subscription membership for $99 unless you cancel within 14 days. \r\nThis practice is illegal - you must let clients tick the box if they wish to take out a subscription NOT pre-tick every purchase.\r\nBUYERS BEWARE. I noticed this charge on my credit card after the 14 days had elapsed. I got my bank to write to Dick Smith on my behalf."
