FibreGlassDirect is an online shop which supplies quality, fibreglass raw materials to the UK and Ireland. We are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and our Head Office is in Newry, Northern Ireland.
We have been online since 2009 but have over 60 years of experience as part of the Tricel Group.
We offer an extensive range of resins, topcoats, gelcoats and ancillaries for a wide range of industries. Some of our key supplies are used for Fibreglass Flat Roofing, Fibreglass Ponds, Boat Repairs and Castings for Decorative Items.

“Dispatch time was good but delivery issues and lack of customer service support let the side down. Delivery was split in two but I only found this out when the first delivery arrived and two-thirds of the order was missing. There was no tracking info for the second delivery. The company didn't respond to email and it took 4 attempts across the day to contact them by phone. The person I finally spoke to seemed helpful and said he would look in to the missing items and phone me back, but never bothered. The second delivery did arrive the following day but nobody was in to receive it, as there was no tracking info. If it had all gone smoothly, then no complaints, but better support than this is required when issues do occur.”

“I've been dealing with Fibreglass Direct for several years now, we are a building company based in NW England. Sadly my last order has so far gone missing. Fibreglass Direct simply don't answer the phone. I've got through twice in approximately 15 calls. I've left messages on voicemail and to employees in person, I've been promised calls back. Nothing. This may well be the courier's failure, but the responsibility to sort this out is with the seller, and the customer service is beyond bad. They have lost my future custom now. I still don't have the goods that I have paid for.”

“It has been a week since I ordered my product, and it is still in the processing phase so not even shipped yet. Despite this I am asked to review a service that I have not yet received. Perhaps this company should spend more energy in dispatching products rather than seeking to secure marketing gold.”

“Left on the patio in the pouring rain , by the delivery driver 🙄 Cardboard box collapsed when I tried to moved it to a dry place the contents then got soaked as it fell out the bottom. Contents list was un readable. Hope it is all on there 🙃”

“Recommend you use East Coast Fibreglass instead. Below is the email I sent to FibreGlassDirect over a week and to which they haven't yet replied: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Sir / Madam Thank you for sending the order above through so quickly. I would however like to provide some feedback, which I hope will help you provide better service going forward. Specifically, the folding and packing of the cloth left quite a lot to be desired in my view. One end had been so manhandled and the weave so distorted that I won't be able to use about half a metre at that end at all. Generally, the cloth had been folded far too much and tightly in my view so that it took two people a long time to flatten out and straighten up the cloth so that it was useable at all. Naturally this was a little frustrating as well as wasting time and resources unnecessarily. I'm not asking for any compensation or to return the cloth, but I hope that you'd like to know how packing at your end (which isn't cheap) impacts customer views etc. Naturally, if you'd like to provide some form of redress or would like to discuss this matter further, that would be fine. All the very best. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a result of this experience I have switched to using East Coast Fibre Glass, where the prices don't seem to be significantly different but the quality of the packing is at a whole different level - so I'll be using them in future.”

“Of the 4 items one of the trims was broken when it arrived. Rest was OK but I paid for 2 day delivery and it took 6.”

“The product (10sq.m pond kit) was good and contained everything I needed. However, the instructions could have been better. The coverage rates seem very optimistic - suited to covering something that is completely flat and smooth (like a roof). However, your average pond is a bit more fiddly. The instructions prompted mixing 2ltr at a time but again, doing fiddly work really makes it difficult to use up the 2 ltrs, leading to waste. A simple re-wording of the instructions would really help.”
