Just tried Grubhub for the first time thru Amazon Prime. The driver refused to deliver my order to my door as he couldn’t turn his car off for some reason, and wanted me to come out to him. I advised that I am handicapped and cannot leave my apartment as I cannot go to the parking lot because of my chair. He then started texting me in Spanish, and threw my order on the ground outside. It’ll be there until my nurse comes tomorrow, and she’ll have to take it to the dumpster. To be fair, I called Grubhub and received excellent customer service. They sent me a refund and generous discount, but I have to motivation to try them again.

Used to be great, but now it's nothing but errors. Got a call about my order being cancelled and a refund issued....in 4 business days. The woman cut me off when I went to ask a question and just hung up. Will jot be giving any more money to this corporation. Nothing but headaches

This is a new observation as a driver. And I want to create a frozen con distinction briefly between DoorDash and GrubHub. They’re both not great. But at least… DoorDash allows. You to have more control over your order. You get to see who you’re taking it to and where you’re going Before you take the order. I don’t mean completely. I just mean greater details. And that’s really beneficial because it also let you toggle between orders if you have two of them at the same time if One is taking a long time to be prepared naturally the other one is close by and thus you will be able to make the most sense of your time. even though they’re both terrible DoorDash also allows you to be restricted to one area. This has been official because you can work from anywhere. Also, if you are in an area you want to be in and in order since you outside of. Even though they’re both terrible DoorDash also allows you not to be restricted to one area. This has been official because you can work from anywhere. Also, if you are in a area you want to be in and in order since you outside of it, you can continue to dash when you leave outside of it rather than having to come all the way back to where you started from every single time which always makes for at least , double the miles and none of the pay. Another thing that I find beneficial with DoorDash, even though they’re both terrible. Basically you don’t have to wait until you reach the delivery location to see the instructions. There have been times when I get to a location received delivery instructions and the instructions inside our updates telling me to go someplace entirely different. And closing GrubHub has way too many restrictions and too much unnecessary bits of compliance. It’s like their micromanaging something that is otherwise so simple and basic. None of them including DoorDash pay you well they don’t even really do dollars for miles and then on top of that you have to drive to get back to your area. It sucks really badly to think that you’re doing favors for a person while jeopardizing your vehicle liability your own safety your gas, which is astronomically expensive! Your breaks your tires and then you’re still gonna get taxed on the money you’re earning the money you spend you’re not getting anything out of it object that they fade away… Honestly just paid what it’s worth. Stop using 2020 technology and paying 1995 prices that’s that’s all.

The grub hub app is not as good as Uber eats. Hard to read. Where is the driver? The driver is the one who is lost, not the restaurant so why did you have me contact them?

Told the driver David to call 5 minutes before because the apartment building is very confusing. He says he is here and I say on my way. I said I was here and where was he and he just kept saying he was where directions told him to go and was leaving the order outside. I had to circle the building to figure out where he left it. I also give a nice tip and I regret it. Contacted help and angie offered me a discount on a trial. No thanks. I’ll never use Grubhub again. Deleted my account.

This is from the perspective of the driver. Unlike DoorDash, which is terrible in their own right Grub Hub makes you subscribe to one area. They appear to do dollars for miles but that’s horrible because if you do five dollars for 5 miles you have to drive 5 miles back to what would be the “hot zone“. The hot zones don’t necessarily provide you with any orders at all. I’ve set in a hot zone for sometime and got no orders whatsoever. The thing that I find most disturbing and just ridiculous is the subscribing to one area. At least DoorDash… Of all terrible companies… Won’t subscribe to one area. It’s extremely problematic. One of the reasons is problematic is because when a person wants to get an order from , a specific area if it’s more than 5 miles away it takes you out of that area. So not only does this mean you have to drive 5 miles back and you have no orders to pick up, but it doesn’t give you any incentive to leave your area for greater pay either. If they’re going to make sure that you leave your area for greater pay, they need to make sure that , the pay is more. As an example to you, these places will have you drive. Let’s say 8 miles for four dollars… At their worst they will also burden you if you’re not desperate enough to do it as an example if you reject the order they will say that your rate goes down and your end of losing your job. Which makes no sense. Not only is this money going to be tax but you’re putting in your safety , your gas, which is very expensive, you’re also putting in your brakes your tires, your liability. Why on earth with anybody and I mean, anybody just accept whatever dollars you throw with them just to have the government take it back not because of taxes. Not to mention the fact that when you do get what you get to spend it, you’ll be taxed anyway you’re really not making any money at all. And I’m absolutely sure that they are aware of this and I’ve done the logistics and that they just don’t care . I understand company place to make money, but you will never keep employees ever ever ever if you fire them because you’re robbing them. I cannot comprehend how 8.9 miles is worth $6.78 tax at 6% and then you have to drive back at some point you are truly doing favors. it is an idea that will not reach the success. It was intended to get. I don’t know if it’s for people who are desperate or for people who are illegal but I do know that when Amazon takes over it I’m hoping that it’s better. Oh by the way Amazon intends on buying Grub and hopefully turning it into something that is , better than what it is today. I hate to say that one is better than the other, but at the very least DoorDash let you have some leniency and doesn’t make sure that you have to be in one area I find GrubHub to be micromanaged and over regulated just to take people bagels , it’s a sad philosophy and even worse marketing strategy for both employee and customer. But overall very serious note the problem is it just doesn’t make any money. They’re using 2020 and paying 1999 prices. Do they not even comprehend that gas has increased exponentially. It’s all the risk of the driver and none of the reward .

Just paid 147.00 four three delivered mexican meals. Service charge 9 something. Tip 24 something. Add-ons increased cost to almost double. But portion smal and very small amounts of add ins. Will skip grubhub and just go to favorite mexican for half the cost and get better food.

grub hub supposedly has 100 percent guarantee & after putting in special instructions no onions he is allergic & calling the restaurant to ensure no onions we got onions ! not to mention the discrepancy in the bill i was sent & the actual charge to my credit call & a 38 minute phone call , they only want to issue me a refund for 14$ & i emailed & called to communicate the issues , i will never use grub hub again & im not satisfied in any way ,form or fashion & it won’t let me upload the picture of the food that was riddled with green onions ! this company is a joke & i will be complaining with the bbb also

I reported theft by this weird driver 10 times and they won’t take action. This company is a joke. I had to call the cops because he won’t stop stealing my food and he was no where to be found on the property. This company is illegal and my lawyers have been contacted to press chargers for negligence and theft promotion. This company should be taken off the App Store this is unreal.

This was my first time using GrubHub and I am BEYOND disappointed!!! I placed my order for the only 6 muffins left from this place that is 2 miles from my house, yes I was feeling lazy, and now I'm paying for it. I placed my order at 11:09am, my estimated delivery window was 11:36-11:51AM. The driver Sebastiana got to the place I ordered from and sat in the parking lot for about 25-30 mins. She then left and came to the intersection that is 1.4 miles from my house and instead of coming down towards my house she went straight and then ended up over near a Shaw's/Walmart plaza, where she stayed for about another 25-30 mins, (at this point I had tried texting her twice) then left there and went to this crappy part of a crappy city, and after her being there for over an hour I called customer service, who was as helpful as they could be, they offered a full refund but I said I'd wait a little longer, at this point it was 130pm. Customer service tried reaching out to the driver, Sebastiana, whom they could not get a hold of. I said I'd wait a little longer. I waited til 2pm, the driver was still in the same location, I now tried texting her for a 3rd time, still no reply. I then ended up having to call customer service to cancel my order and get a refund. Now I'm just hoping I'll get my money back. But this was absolutely ridiculous!! As I read a bunch of reviews I understand now more! And trust me I tried using door dash first but they didn't pick up from the certain place I was trying to order from... This lady should be fired, and if you see she's going to be your delivery person, I would call GrubHub right away and insist on a different driver!!!

I purchased a subscription on my personal card but use my company card when purchasing on occasion for meals. Went in to my company expense report and find a odd amount I didn't spend. So I went into GrubHub to see what was going on and found out they charged my company card for my subscription. Did a chat with them cause they don't like confrontation. First lady won't help and I talk to a supervisor telling me that is the card for the subscription and she can't help to reverse and put on the correct card, whats done is done. So I told her to cancel my subscription. Wtf you charge one card for subscription and then they just go and change it.

I ordered a meal and we were unable to reach the driver with the correct directions. The driver took the meals somewhere and took a blurry photo that was not my door. Upon contacting customer service they decided to give me a promo for half of what I spent on that meal that I did not get. The promo that they gave me expired less than 60 days, therefore GrubHub stole my money and they can offer no recourse. I contacted customer support and was told there was nothing they could do. this company is in business to rip people off, They truly do not care about the customer.

Amazon has this free delivery of food orders for Prime members. Grubhub offers the service. I ordered from a restaurant, on the Grubhub app the delivery fee for this restaurant was crossed out, replaced by the word "free." The total order of food was $86.26. When I clicked "pay" I was then charged with the total amount of $120.37. GRUBHUB IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!

I was charged twice for my order. When I noticed it through my PayPal account I called grubHub and was told they cannot do anything since it’s been more than 48 hours from when I placed my order. That is ridiculous! Cannot issue a credit - I’m done with them.

I placed a Grubhub order at 7:39pm for delivery between 8:02pm and 8:17pm. Driver said delivered at 8:09pm but no order in sight. Driver took a photo of white bag only with no surroundings. After trying to contact driver with no success, I contacted Grubhub via message on their app and now I have to wait for redelivery between 8:45 and 9:00pm. I have only tried this service a few times and every time I have had a problem. I will never order from this company ever again.
