What a dreadful organisation to deal with. We ordered a pillow, when it arrived we opened it, noted it was unsuitable and asked for a return. They have decided to ignore UK consumer law by refusing it - because the item had been worn? It's a pillow - virtually untouched and certainly not worn (or slept on for that matter). Seems they are quick to take money, loath to refund and certainly loath to understand and obey their obligations under law. Support unhelpful bordering on rude and emails boiler plate and obviously failing to understand. Next step trading standards

Bought a 2 seater sofa from here which has barely been used in the 2 years I have had it as it is a guest sofa. One of the legs has completely snapped off, I've been in touch with Robert Dyas to request either a new leg, a refund or replacement and they have said they have no responsibility after 12 months for damages or faulty goods. Clearly this low quality, faulty furniture is not built to last more than 12 months and you will not receive any assistance when it inevitably breaks. I would not recommend Robert Dyas at all.

Paid for next day delivery on Friday. Told being delivered on Monday, then told it will be Tuesday. Won’t give me a refund.

To all RD customers Hope this helps I was sent the wrong item three months ago, for all those months I have been trying to contact them to resolve this matter , I have been lied to pushed from one call centre to another all reading from the same song sheet all these girls at the call centre do not have an understanding of the English language being part of the problem…. I finally obtained a template letter sent it to them and the next day they phoned me , after three months of trying, although the outcome was not exactly what I wanted ie putting the purchase price back in my account and me keeping the wrong item !?? It seems the only way to get anywhere with these people is to write

Ordered a cooking set (costs £145) and it didn't arrive on the day stated. Like many I had to chase them and get an update. It arrived over a week late as they had to put in another order. When I got it, it was damaged. Clearly used. They would only replace the item after collecting it. Seeing as they are incapable of sending items in time I wanted it replaced on the same day. However, they don't do that! The first company I've had say this! Been shopping online for years and a replacement is always sent before removal! This company is a sham. Customer service is not local. They are hard to communicate with. They get cheap labour from South Africa and we get the cheap service here in the UK!

By far the worst company I have ever come across. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY ARE CROOKS. Ordered two things, they never arrived even though I was home the whole time, then they would not give me refund.

I ordered a microwave and paid £7.95 for next day delivery. Was suppose to be delivered on Tuesday however when I checked tracking was still showing at the national depo. I rang delivery company who confirmed they don’t have the parcel as yet. I then rang Robert Dyas customer services and spoke to Mfana who was adamant it would get delivered even after I explained that on the tracking it’s does not show delivery company has the microwave and also have spoken to the delivery company who have confirmed they do not have the parcel. Mfana didn’t take on board what I said neither did he check the tracking and just said well the day is not over so you will get the parcel today. Once again I explained the tracking information but he refused to listen or check the tracking just kept saying it shall be delivered today. He then followed up with a email confirming it shall be delivered today (Tuesday). Anyway I replied to email with screenshot of the tracking asking for update I got no reply and it’s Wednesday today and still don’t have my microwave. The customer service is ridiculous and Mfana was so unprofessional no idea how to speak to customers. I paid £7.95 for next day delivery to be chasing it and wasting time is ridiculous. Happy to take my money but not deliver goods or reply to my email very unprofessional and unethical. Why charge for next day delivery if you can’t fulfill??

Found worktop saver for me and one for a present without any trouble. Nice choice of finishes. Not a long queue and a very nice lady on the till helped me use my Robert Dyas points. Store nice and clean and well stocked.

Will never use Robert Dyas ever again .Loads of e mails but no product delivered, then do not want to refund. Paid for 4 chairs 19th November, Dec 2nd still no chairs. E mail stating delivery 28th, waited in all day no delivery, there customer service arranged delivery for the 30th waited in all day again guess what no chairs. Customer service very poor. Courier service they use also very poor. Have told them i now just want a refund what a joke this is, customer service again, very poor, stating they want proof i have not received them . Stay clear of this Mickey Mouse company

Avoid!!! Items showing as In Stock are obviously not in stock and merely drop shipped from manufacturers . Ordered a baby monitor a week ago on a Black Friday deal to be told yesterday it is not available and that a refund would be given. Now due to the inaccurate, misleading stock availability claims I have missed out on any other Black Friday offers that I could have used from other reputable companies. Called customer service to ask for an upgrade to an item that is in stock (or not as the case may be) to be told there’s was nothing that could be done. Asked to speak to a manager, but ‘Lloyd’ was unavailable and didn’t call me back as I was promised.

4 months in, garden table has warped and split. This cost £600. Robert Dyas have offered me £60 but no refund as they advise it needs to be dismantled and stored INDOORS over the winter. I have it covered by a garden table cover (as per their website guidance) but apparently that isnt good enough. I will never use them again, their customer service is appalling.

Delivered to wrong address, delivered parcel 1 of 2, redelivered 2nd parcel to wrong address, 3 days later the 2nd parcel arrived at correct address but was wrong item, Dyas asked me to send photo of wrong item!!, sent photo, customer services wanted to arrange collection before delivering correct item!!, I complained - they said they’d deliver correct item, it didn’t turn up, I complained, they escalated my complaint to customer services and said someone would phone me back next day, they didn’t, I rang them - they said it’ll be delivered tomorrow and they’ll send a delivery time slot in the morning - they’ve never provided a delivery time yet! I doubt whether the item willl turn up tomorrow but I live in hope!! Absolutely rubbish.... a shame because its an old established firm mainly let down by their suppliers.

Very poor customer service Very poor customer service. Items both damaged and boxes ripped apart on delivery. Contacted to arrange replacement. No response to initial email. Waited a week then called Robert dyas. No urgency in communicating with supplier or myself as a customer. When this issue is corrected I intend to have no more contact with the company and would advise others to avoid online sales with them. Other reviews seem to be predominantly about in store sales.

Terrible service altogether. They sent the wrong item. Would not sent the correct one until the wrong one had been collected and returned to their depot. This took a week. The correct item was by then not available. A garden parasol in cream. I now have a parasol base also ordered from them and this needs returning and a refund to be made. I hold out little hope !!!!! I have spent such a long time hanging on the phone trying to get this sorted. They took my money very quickly but have not been helpful at all. Will it all ever be sorted !!!! I wonder.

Quick to take my money, but not to deliver. Keep changing days, accused me of already having the item delivered! Had to keep ringing and ringing to badger them. Awful customer service, awful to get your items. Steer clear!!

Let's take them to court collectively!!! I bought fridge freezer after 1 months it start collecting ice!!! They told me they will collect it and refund me money as long as I package myself...any excuse to NOT REFUND MY MONEY FOR THEIR FAULTY FRIDGE FREEZER. contact me anyone who wants to take action against them on FB RAHELA SULJIC

Just purchased items in store to be told by abrupt assistant we no longer give NHS Discount only discount for students now . Very saddened to hear robert dyas have done this to the hard working nhs staff .

My item didn't arrive. I paid and extra £7 for a 'before 1pm' delivery but it still didn't arrive, and still hasn't come even though it is now 17:42! Customer services are not competent and give no explanations as to what is happening. I have now been informed it will arrive tomorrow,at at time which is not of my choice. They should have at least asked me what time would suit me as I have a busy day so will likely miss the delivery. I'm very disappointed.

Spent over £1000 on outdoor garden furniture, advertised as good, chunky etc, 1 year warranty + 10 year anti-rot. Just 19 months later, the Zest4Leisure Wooden Rebecca Table has huge cracks in the table top that allow water to ingress, and the table top is warped so when it rains, water pools on top! I also got the Zest4Leisure Libby 2-Seater Wooden Garden Bench and this has got a huge crack opened up on one arm, leaving a sharp edge making it unsafe to use. I also got the Charles Taylor Dorset Three Seat Swing, this has cracks in the arms. Then there is the Woodshaw Hampton 2 Seater Rocker this also has cracks forming. In a nutshell, none of the furniture purchased is worth the money paid, I've had cheap plastic furniture last longer. I contacted customer services who very curtly replied "you only have 12 months warranty"! So you can see how much Robert Dyas care about their customers after they have the money! Total waste of money, and will never buy anything from you again, or recommend you.
