TAKEALOT SERVICE IS VERY VERY POOR, I MADE A ORDER ON THE 17TH AND I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY ORDER YET THEY KEEP ON SAYING THEY TRIED TO DELIVERY AND I WAS HOME THE WHOLE TIME

I’m appalled at Take-A-Lot's service and attitude toward my elderly (78 & 72 year old) parents. They simply pass the buck and do not take any responsibility for the suitcases they had to return to them/us. Proof was given that takealot incorrectly took the wrong suitcases and then after sending us a photo that they received it, they all of a sudden couldn't find them - even after they sent a photo showing they have them. My parents have been e-mailing and calling takealot since the day this happened on 26 March 2022. On 02 April 2022 one of their agents sent a photo proving that our Private Suitcases (worth R5000 years ago when it was bought internationally) was received along with the other broken suitcases which we bought from them, that only made 1 trip then broke. What they didn’t bargain on is that my elderly dad always prints everything – so he printed the email sent with the photos proving they did receive the our suitcases sent to them incorrectly plus the broken suitcases that we sent back for them to replace. Now, if you click on the link of the original email that they sent with their image proving they have both our suitcases, one can’t access it. But we have the proof. Eventually they moved these cases from Somerset West Branch to Milnerton, where my brother in law went to that branch. The manager then said that he would love to give the suitcases back but unfortunately he cant because their company have a process to follow. What process? These suitcases belong to us. They've taken liberty with my elderly parents, passing the buck for months with no conclusion and lots of excuses. This is plain theft. My parents have really been patient but now we are doing what we need to do, in order for TakeALot to finally wake up and either return our suitcases or replace them or pay us the money of their worth, that it's worth now, not what it was worth years ago.

We regularly order through Takealot and I am truly satisfied with their service! At times we order from other companies too just to realize that we prefer the excellent overall service from takealot. If you had a bad moment with them, try again - you will not be disappointed.

I got a message that my delivery would be today . at the end of the day I see that it has been delivered and that i had signed for it . THIS IS NOT TRUE . No delivery was made nor received . I have been on the phone since 5pm and cannot get through but phone message says they are experiencing high call volumes for 45 minutes . I am sure there isnt anyone manning the phones. I WANT TO KNOW HOW THEY CAN FRAUDULANTLY SAY DELIVERY WAS DONE AND IT WAS NOT

Takealot is a slow burning rip off. I bought the AHD cctv 4 camera system from them. And kept the unit for a while as I was sourcing a security company to fit the system. When I eventually did fit these I learned that the unit received was incomplete as I had to purchase extra items - second power supply and some other cables. Even with the extras I had to buy to complete the product the camera system would not work. I eventually gave up and decided to return the product. Upon doing so, takealot refused to accept the return as they were insisting that the unit was delivered complete, which is a completely inaccurate. The manufacturer dispersed an incomplete unit which means I will be stuck with a faulty product which I have no use for. Worst part in this whole process communication is pathetic and they keep referring to the faulty product as if i have with me, whereas these were returned. To date my money has gone down the drain nor do I have the cameras with me to chuck in the bin. I await for the return of the garbage cameras with uncertainty. I have lost all faith in takealot after this incident. If you are looking for cctv camera system best go directly to a security shop. Takealot is a steal a lot... Run...i am beyond disappointed with how this incident has been handled.

Best customer service from Gaby at Kempton park pickup point, she's the best at what she does n treated me like a valuable customer. Service providers like Gaby are rare to find. Thank you n keep up ur good job.

So i ordered something on takealot and i canceled the order on Monday and wanted a refund to my bank account and Takealot where i ordered from told me it has been delivered and my wife signed so i phoned my wife and she has not received anything so i told them and they said they will get back to me and its been 3 days and nothing. They just keep on telling me that they are going to let me know and nothing. They firstly comitted fraud and needs to be reported for using my wife's name falsely they are pathetic i have proof where they show it has been delivered in her name

Used to be happy with takealot until I wasn't happy with a product ..I wrote my review and it was rejected...has the ANC taken over takealot in the past year..very dishonest to only post their good reviews...how can customers trust when the reviews are manipulated to only post the good reviews..then what is point then.... this is unacceptable ..they must fall

Various/many products are more expensive than normal shops. Some sellers will sell a 6 pack of beer for the same price as a case of beer. How does Takealot allows this? Prices on products should be regulated, either below or the same prices as other businesses. I would think that the sellers would keep their prices below market prices to get more people to support takealot, but unfortunately this is NOT the case.

Crooked deceptive and fraudsters in short definition of takealot ... ordered some medicine for R400 and sent me 10 rand booklet of introduction instructions of medicine , tired of asking refund but to no avail... I wish they were in some law abiding good justice system country I would take them to cleaners definetly.

Under normal circumstances, I'm not unreasonable and would write a good review when it's worth it - because doing good business and empowering South Africa's economy, local business, or a 'Leading Online Store', in general, is something that matters. Here is where I draw the line! - disappointed with the customer service and overall experience, I have ordered from Takealot before and this is now the third time I find myself having to pay more*** and compensate for an extra cost without a transparent refund*** or even a way to make contact, after**** I had paid in full for an (Egyptian cotton linen set ) to arrive before I move - I set aside my own time and money only to find it canceled on the day of arrival and soon to be move. 1. No correspondence ahead of time. 2. Try getting in contact in general, it's nearly impossible. 3. I have now had to spend more! + 4. refunds???? nope - just credit towards your next purchase on finding a new set on *this platform* that now has an additionally longer waiting period. 5. The UX work that has been done across their platform saddens me, always considered it to be a trusted go friendly place to purchase from, but the reality is it's filled with so many dark patterns for short-term gain. This will lose trust in what you have going for you. Do the right thing and keep the people that use your service as something we can rely on. I hope to be updated as soon as possible. In closing, I hope that you consider those using your platform with respect, by showing transparency and reliability. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Don't shop with these scam artists!!! As a seller I've personally experienced the Bullshit this company puts it's sellers and ultimately it's customers through. I was quite happy selling through them before the COVID pandemic, as I could store my items quite affordably with them and there were no issues with deliveries or returns, as it was handled in house. Also they advertised for us for free, where as now we need to pay into an advertising account which is just a link to Google ads. Now they are withholding money from me and I've sent out over 6 of my products that were cancelled and I've never received my products back. Also made at least 3 successful sales this month but not a cent to show from it from Takealot. Also towards the end of last year in October i had all my products that I was storing with Takealot returned to me, as no one was buying my products. I had to raise the price of my items to ridiculous levels because of the extra storage fees, success fees and fulfillment fees that Takealot decided to start tacking on after the COVID pandemic (*seriously Takealot you're going to penalize us for being successful?). After I had these products returned to me, all these products (more than 98% of my products) were unbuyable and I was making no sales with Takealot since October in 2021 till March 2022. I couldn't get any responses from customer support and was sent a message in February apologizing to us sellers for the seller support services being unavailable for almost 4 months due to the COVID pandemic. I was so pissed with them for this as they still charged me two months of fees, not to mention my bank charging me monthly fees the entire time. Also because they charged me two months of fees I owed them R753, which they then added R2400 for unpaid fees. Now all my sales are being paid to pay back these pieces of GARBAGE!!! I really thought all these problems would end when I started doing leadtime orders, not realizing the horrors that awaited me. You have to pay for delivery fees for the product out of pocket to deliver the product to JHB or CPT. This would be fine if most of my sales would be in Cape town, but more than 90% of my sales are to JHB, where I need to pay R150 just to ship one item to Takealot. And Takealot has the audacity to charge customers for shipping and then keep all those profits for themselves, while making us sellers ship out of pocket!!! Why Takealot do you work this way? There are 3 possible solutions to this issue. 1. Let sellers deliver to their nearest DC and you transfer it to the other DC using an INTER-DC transfer fee (right now as of 2022 it's still R7). 2. Pay us sellers the shipping fee the customer pays. 3. Get out of the way (give us the customer info directly and let the sellers deal with the customers and send the products directly to the customers). I cant keep doing business this way!! FUCK YOU TAKEALOT!! I WISH YOU PEOPLE WOULD GO COMPLETELY BROKE ALREADY!! FUCK YOU TRY SCAM ME LIKE THIS!! FUCK ALL OF YOU IN THAT COMPANY!! KARMA IS GOING TO KICK YOU ALL IN THE BALLS!! NEVER EVER SELL THROUGH THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE TRYING TO SCAM SMALL COMPANIES OUT OF THEIR MONEY!!

In the last 6 months, I have had to return a total number of 6 products that suddenly stopped working. The inconvenience with this is that the return process is tedious and long. Then I have to wait days if not weeks for a replacement. It's completely unprofessional.

Ordered a hair product - changed my mind as when I looked at the product, seems completely different to what is advertised. Logged a return which was collected 2 days later and nobody bothered to contact me about the status of the return. After following-up, have been told its declined due to 'not being sealed' or 'broken packaging'. The product came in an open plastic bag in a box - nothing would have been broken anyway. Disgusting service - last time I will order from here. Too bad they've gotten too much of a big head for customer service !
