I would have given zero stars if that was an option. Explain to me how I sent in 30 items, 17 of which were accepted and ALL of which were in impeccable condition (many never worn), and somehow ended up making NO money??? thredUp is a scam. Don't bother.

First time ordering and they took my coupon out of my cart when I had problems with my login. I ignored it because I really wanted the item. Took them 5 days to tell me they couldn't locate the item? By the reviews seems like a theme. Is this company making money off keeping your money for a week before giving a refund 🤔

I recently bought a few things from ThredUp. Only one of the items was as described. The pair of work out shorts was listed in excellent condition and the waist band was so stretched out that they wouldn't even stay on. Same for a pair of sandals. I reached out online and all I could get was saying how to return and how much shipping back would be, etc. So I took the next step to email staing the issue. I've now sent 4 emails with absolutey NO REPONSE BACK. I shold not have to pay for return shipping when what I bought was not described accurately. So now I'm stuck with these things and WILL NEVER buy or recommend ThredUp to anybody. I'll stick with Poshmark and other sites. This was a huge disappointment and lack of any type of customer service.

I only shopped once but I never will again. The stuff isn't very cheap eventhough I got everything supposedly at half off. I bought a pair of Ralph Lauren pants that were listed very good and it is missing the button. If I had paid $4 for pants without a button then sure, I can fix that and be happy about it but I paid $18. Then I got a faux leather skirt with the tags still on and when it arrived, it had a hole that looked like a mouse had eaten through it. I spent over $200 on this stuff. Now that I'veseen the items, they should have been priced no more than $8 each. I feel like the thrift influencers are getting kick backs because the quality is not there. I'll stick to going inside the thrift store so I can inspect items myself. What a rip off!!

I have been a buying and selling customer for many years. However, that ends now. I send back more items than I keep now due to poor quality, size issues or poor descriptions. Selling is no longer worth it to me. The handling fee is ridiculous because that should be their cost for doing business. My portion of the sale price has gotten smaller as well. Plus, they pay me nothing for some items that they sell but claim are not brands they pay for. There is no longer any advantage to me to sell here. This was a fun, profitable resale option in the beginning. Not Now! I don't recommend buyig or selling here anymore. Too Bad

Don't expect to make any money on your clean out bags- after multiple sales of .28 to the most pay out 1.61 - I will owe them money ! better to donate or sell yourself!

The restock fee makes returns pointless. I bought an item for $13, but it costs $4 to return it PLUS an $11 shipping fee..... so there really is no point in returning it as I wont get any money back. That makes it really hard to shop because you dont actually know if the items fit you.. Only way to know is to try it on. While I love the idea of thrifting, this isnt saving me any money. Sorry, wont be shopping again.

I bought three items. Only one was as it was described. The running shorts were listed in excellent condition and the waistband was completely stretched out and were useless to me. Same with the pair of sandals. The straps hung from my feet. I reached out by chat first, got nothing. Have sent three emails now with no response. And of course when I go back online, they say the return window has closed. I won't ever buy or refer after this I'm not even going to take the time to upload photos as I'm so over this site

Do not use this website. You will not get what you ordered. The items are mis labeled mis sized and everything. They will offer the option for returns but at a cost to YOU or a credit that if you use it you will still end up spending more money to use your credit. Thred Up is a rip off.

I only buy items marked excellent or very good. That being said, their idea of very good is actually very bad. Purchased a Ranna Gill blouse for $19. which retails for $250. marked very good. The blouse had an area of fraying on the front with a huge black repair patch on the underside. Visible at 100% as the blouse was of thinner material. They won't mention these flaws on their site. My advice~only do excellent. Anything less is usually not acceptable and looks like you had it 50+ years.

I have sold 13 items on this website and should have made money from them but apparently after giving them all of my items for free to sell they have an additional service fee so I am getting $0 for any of it. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR THINGS. Facebook marketplace is a better way to go if you are trying to actually earn some money.

I used to love shopping here, after my last 2 orders….my money will be going elsewhere. Horrible product representation they do not refund you. They give you a credit so you can go in and buy more stuff that is pure garbage even when you clearly mark new with tags I got a pair of shoes that was supposed to be new with tags and it looked like someone had just ran a marathon in them. Their standards and quality has dropped to an unacceptable level.

After months of waiting for them to go through items I sent, they said never worn items were showing wear and piling. A dress worn once they didn’t accept. I’ll just donate in the future being that the few items that sold paid pocket change.

I sent in a Clean Out kit with 13 items which I photographed so I know what was in there. Only 11 items were shown to have been received (two weren't "eligible" which is untrue since they were Talbots Outlet items which are definitely accepted). The upsetting issue is the two "missing" items were a brand new pair of Talbots jeans and an authentic Dooney & Burke handbag which I paid over $300 for and used twice. It was in excellent condition and should've given me my biggest payout. WHAT HAPPENED TO IT? The charges are ridiculously high and the payouts minuscule. Horrible company.

You get literally less than $1 to a few dollars unless it's a say Gucci or something very very expensive....... They do not give you enough for each sale. they get most!! I sent 3 boxes. should have saved and sold each item on ebay! :O live and learn

I bought a dress and pair of sandals for a New Year's party. The was advertised as followed: Intimately By Free People Cocktail Dress Size M Condition: excellent Practically new: shows no obvious signs of being worn or washed. The dress was damaged dress. The sequences on the dress are facing the wrong way and they are also falling off. The sandals were advertised as such: Chinese Laundry Final Sale Size 10 Wedges Condition excellent Final Sale Practically new: shows no obvious signs of being worn or washed. I am also sending back the gold sandals that are defective. One of the sandal straps has been stretched out and is impossible to wear. I know the sandal was a final sale, but I do not need junk in my closet. This should have never been sold. I also so was $13.95 postage to send their junk back to them. I will not be recommending this company anytime soon.

I hate this online store. I have never had this many disappointment purchases from online shopping in my life. The photos often do not look the same in person. Items don't fit. Things are much smaller than displayed or look worn out and in bad condition. I'm done with Thredup & wasting money on stuff I don't like or will ever use.

Trash. Goodwill wouldn't take these items. First and last time ordering.

I've tried ThredUp several times now and am officially done with them. Items are mislabeled, returns are impossible, restocking fees, and no customer support. I like the idea but it is just not worth it.
