“OK when it works, but when online orders go wrong, they're IMPOSSIBLE to sort out - shoved from pillar to post by customer service agents referring to the branch and the branch cannot help Finally met with a refusal to refund/cancel, stating the order had been collected (it wasn't able to be found when attempts were made to collect) Referred to Surrey Trading Standards”

“All through covid, toolstation have had the goods. We usually use another well known supplier (they are usually side by side), but toolstation has consistently had goods that the other didn't have. Their website is easier to use as well, because it shows clearly whats is and isn't in stock, and at which branch you can pick up. Well done toolstation. We're converted!”

“Brilliant service and friendly too. Now the store is open and we can enter, it is nice to get some normality back. Staff are happy to see customers back and nothing is too much trouble for them. 100% dedication from staff to customers. Yet again,served by Mandy and she is full of energy and enthusiasm. Will definitely be back for more products. Keep up the great work Chesterfield!”

“The weekend delivery is a lie. Incompetent customer service. Heavy bulky item ordered online to be delivered on the Sunday. No delivery that Sunday. It was attempted to be delivered mid-week and was taken to a post office. Contacted customer service 4 times and was promised it would be the following the Sunday but Parcel Force said there was no such thing! Ordered it for the second time on the phone to be delivered on the Sunday and was told it would definitely be Sunday delivery. Again no show. There was a very good reason to place the order for a Sunday delivery or otherwise I would have picked it up from their store. I have no means of going to the post office or their store and there is nobody around during the week to take the delivery. The customer service staff are nice and promise you what you want to hear but do nothing about it.”

“Further to my earlier comment regarding a mower that went wrong I have now received this email from customer disservices. UNBELIEVABLE I had already forwarded proof of purchase and payment. How many more excuses can they manufacture to not give me a refund on a mower they couldn’t repair ? All within the warranty period.”

“I had a problem with a motor mower after using only 5 or six times. It had to go to the manufacturer for repair. I was told it needed a new carburettor. Two weeks later I was told they couldn’t get the part. I was offered a replacement mower two weeks later I was told they didn’t have this model in stock and as this had been going on for a while I could have a refund. After being told 4 times now that the money would be refunded to my account within 3 to 4 days and the last time I was told the money had actually left there account. So here I am two months down the road no mower no refund. Toolstation you are doing yourself no favours.”

“Ordered online to click and collect, Some items not available stated before ok with that, Arrived at collection branch just given a bag with a ticket and contents list, don’t thick people was expected to check but did, found parts missing had to inform staff. Some of the stuff missing were just down as delivery had to question staff who stated I would’ve been by my order email, which I wasn’t so recheck d and found nothing to the contrary. So either the staff were trying to fob me off, don’t understand the company system or lazy. No information would’ve been given if I didn’t challenge. Also assuming that I will be in on a working day for a delivery that wasn’t agreed to is abit much. So all in all appreciate-the difficult times where in but it isn’t rocket science. Abit disappointed from the usual good service I normally receive.”

“been using the toolstation branch at purley way croydon for some time and l can honestly say that l have always found all the staff , thats the guys and the girls , to be both knowledgeable and efficient giving what l can only describe as excellent service .”

“I really recommend Toolstation's click & collect service especially during these Covid19 restrictions. My order was ready to collect within a couple of hours and it was an effortless and safe way to collect. Their prices are far below those of DIY chains and the quality is good.”

“I purchased a thumbturn toilet door lock, it said it would show red when engaged and white when vacant. After turning lock once most of red indicator scratched off, after a few turns red was completely gone. Item was also slightly tarnished. Cheap an nasty doesn’t cover it. I tried to leave a review on Toolstation‘a website but they don’t allow negative feedback.”
