We have two incredibly rude shop assistants in your Tunbridge Wells Branch when my 85 year old Mum tried return an item. There was an issue with the till and even though we explained we had another appointment they kept us waiting for 40 mins without apologising once and informing us we were unable to leave the shop. When I asked why there was still a deal the older assistant was very rude and the manager ignored me. We were not offered any form of compensation and had to cancel two hair cuts.

It is the third time I purchase from White Stuff. The first time was in the shop in Exeter, UK. All went well. Beautiful designs and great shopping experience. After, I ordered from Portugal to be delivered at my address. And now a second time. The refund both times for the items that didn't suit me got "lost" (the fact that you pay £18 for the return which is not communicated explicitly when buying the clothes is minor compared to the price of the clothes themselves - but yes, could be improved too). I had to email asking about the money, while holding proof of the box being correctly returned and being already half-way back to the destination. Instead of the customer support (Laura Lopez, Lauren Lee) researching into the case based on my carefully drafted email mentioning the number of the order and details of the return, the enquiry keeps going just delaying the matter instead of them doing the research and making sure that the refund takes place. I don't feel I can trust White Stuff with deliveries anymore even though I really like their clothes - even if overpriced given their average material quality (some jumpers and dresses cost about £100 and are "prone to pilling" according to the label). I only order what I think will look nice but in real life looking and trying out clothes is different - which is normal and expectable. But if you can't be sure that you will be able to return and get a refund after all the care in handling the clothes, packaging them and sending, then ordering online becomes very risky. It is a shame.

I wasn’t able to try on the clothes I wished to buy as the store does not have dog-free changing rooms and I am allergic to some dog hair. When I asked, the shop assistant was very abrupt and said you are a dog/friendly company. I put the clothes back on the rail. It seems that your ‘pets welcome’ policy is actually a ‘pets more welcome than people’ policy.

Last week I bought 3 pairs of socks from White Stuff in Portsmouth outlet mall and one has a big hole in it! Unfortunately I lost the bill and also we don't have a store in Reading! Not good quality don't pay high prices! Ignore this store!

Bought a new pair of boots off White Stuff official website as a birthday gift for my partner. She opened them at her party in front of a packed room only for them to be excessively worn and dirty. The heals were consistent with 2 years of wear, and still had dirt on them. Absolutely embarrassed!! All her friends and family watched on as she sat there holding dirty old boots not knowing if it was a joke. I am embarrassed and wish I was exaggerating on the condition. These are not ex display, these look like they were owned by Ryan Giggs on his testimonial 10 years ago. Even the box was old and crumbled. Revisited webpage and still advertising as new boots and no mention of them being second hand or memorabilia. Very upset! Won't be buying again and would advise others to consider the same, especially for gifts...

Terrible customer service. Wouldn't change the size of a t shirt on an online order even though I emailed them immediately after making the order. Lazy and unhelpful.

SHARP PRACTICE AT WHITE STUFF I was pleased to see a 20 percent discount on website,to be applied at checkout, unfortunately offer was not applied due to computer error and I was not only charged full amount but also charged twice which I accept may have been my mistake, after this I made numerous calls to white stuff eventually I rang the bank who told me white stuff could in fact make a payment for the missing money to my account, this was refused on the grounds that if they did this for me then it would have to be done for everybody, and it was automated,which I know can be overridden, a week later I am still waiting for pending money which I cannot access thanks to white stuff I was given a 20 percent voucher which I requested by way of an apology but have now found it mot valid,all in all a poor show

Poor customer service for a Return. I found the chosen size of my dress huge ( their sizes run large, it seems) refund. The item was in crumpled polythene and was obviously a return. I retuned the item and I have tracking. They have received it ages ago (according to the tracking...) I have emailed White Stuff twice to confirm they have the item, and have never received any reply whatsoever. Each time I phone I am told curtly a different date I have to wait for, for my refund. I have been told variously 10 days and two weeks. That is quite a long time to wait for refund to be quite honest. Most companies refund on receipt of item these days. I will not be using this company again. Customer Service is poor.

I am really dissatisfied with the way I was treated by the store manager at the Guildford store when I tried to return a couple of items today. They weren’t worn and I had receipt for one item and the other was an online purchase. I had all my email payment confirmations and all emails confirming delivery and my ID with me to prove who I was. The way I was treated and spoken to however was anything but professional. The manager was disrespectful and belittled me. I am older than her for sure and have been a loyal customer of White Stuff. I am definitely not keen to go there again though. I also suspect I was treated so disrespectfully because I am of an ethic background and not white.

27 minutes ago Terrible Experience!! I ordered some plimsolls on the 9th of June from White Stuff with next day delivery. This came to a total of £65.95. 1. This amount has been charged twice to my credit card (twice £65.95). 2. I have not received an e-mail acknowledgement of this order from White Stuff. 3. They replied to my first e-mail today to say they have received my order. 4. I have written to them a further three times today to find out when the plimsolls will be delivered. I have not received a reply. 5. Please do not sell goods on your website White Stuff if you cannot provide adequate customer service. Please do not take customers money if you cannot provide associated customer service.

My order and payment were accepted, only to receive a curt, unapologetic email stating we have run out so refunded. I emailed back to point out courteous forms of address and possibilities of being informed when the product returns in stock. Slightly improved response, but still no purchase possible nor format to inform me, their customer, of when I will be able to make a purchase. Poor show all round White Stuff... Please work on customer service.

I am extremely disappointed with the way I have been treated following recent purchases. I was not informed by shop staff about the recent change in the returns policy, decreasing from 28 to 14 days. Staff were not understanding when I tried to return items and although they could have used discretion and issue a refund to me - they did not. I am now left with gift vouchers for a store I no longer wish to patronise!! Customer Care have been unable to redress this too.
