We had our experience booked and then 2 days prior it was cancelled due to the car failing its safety checks. The company will now not re-book us as the voucher will be 'out of date'. Absolutely not our fault that the car failed its safety checks but we have to miss out. Customer service is absolutely disgusting.”
“After 3 hr drive to get to Lichfield on Sunday, we were greeted by a man at gate to say the days racing was cancelled, due to flooding.. 15 mins after our start time received an email telling us of the cancellation.. Very poor.. Tried phoning Monday and just lefted on hold .. Emailed and had a reply saying they were busy and would get in touch around 7 days time.. let's wait and see.”
“Unfortunately at Aldershot circuit 2 out of the 3 cars I was suppose to drive didn't turn up. They had my name down wrong, so wasted time until issue was sorted. Very short single track circuit, so no high speed runs as circuit too crowded. Not worth the money.”
“Don't bother. The online booking experience and website is terrible. Had to pay extra for the car I wanted. On the day, expect long queues 3-4 hrs, hidden charges (£25 waiver per driver or you'll need £5k on a card each), no facilities, just portaloos. You are just left to wait in the open air. If it rains you are on your own. Take your own seats. It's obviously overbooked. Photos and video are expensive but that's another queue. Great product, really poor customer experience. Won't book again or recommend”
“To many people trying to drive didn't mind a 1.30 wait but 4.30 hours to long didn't even drive as the wait was ridiculous felt like very unprofessional experience”

“Hi my drive was so slow and unexhilarating i might as well been sat on a bus i dont think i exceeded 20mph or came out of first gear, Totally disappointed not worth the good money i paid

“This was bought as a gift for my nephew who patiently waited for dates you could provide that we could attend with the 3 cars that he had picked one of which I had to pay £10 extra for then 2 days before the event you email me saying 2 of the cars were out of action 1 of which was what I’d paid extra for then on the day when getting booked in you then tell me that the 3rd car which my nephew was most excited about was out of action so therefore could have another Lamborghini but would have to pay you guessed it £10 extra for even though I’d already paid this for another car that wasn’t in action and wasn’t getting but no offer of a refund on that one just keep the money rolling in by pushing add ons keep selling up the product then 2 of the 4 cars didn’t have the cameras working for the video footage yet still pay full price for the full package even though you are only receiving half what paid for it’s disgraceful how you treat your customers just matter of fact it’s extra it’s not working won’t be recommending anyone for your product an unsatisfied ex customer”
“10 days before the event we tried every day to postpone, because my husband contracted Covid.
I was given email addresses and phone numbers, none of which responded.
Even on the day of the event no one contacted us to ask where we were!!
So I am still waiting for someone to contact us to change the date, or reimburse me.
I am highly dissatisfied with this company.”
“I tried to get in contact with car chase heroes on the Thursday and Friday before the experience as I had tested positive to covid.
The phone lines were turned off due to "sickness" I used the website chat which got no where and sent emails.
Not once did they respond.
Seems they are happy to take your money and not respond.
I would never recommend them”
“Booking the event was a stressful, nightmare, queued for over an hour in 30c heat to sign in, the event was over booked on the day of driving , didnt get to drive any cars i booked as they kept breaking down, wouldn't ever use this company again or recommend to anyone . Could be so much better if there wasnt so many people there and few more laps included, not worth the money or hassle.”
“Absolutely awful! Never got to have our experience because first Car Chase heroes cancelled it (because Tom Hanks was filing at Abingdon airfield and this over-ran), Re-booked, then 2 days before we receive an email that the Lamborghin Gallardo wasn't available as it needed repairs. This is what my two boys desperately wanted to drive. We didn't see the email until Sunday when we were about to leave, so didn't leave and emailed to advise this. On the next re-arranged date, myself and one of my two boys were ill with (and tested positive for) Covid. I tested positive on a Thursday and my son (who was due to drive) tested positive on Saturday. We tried to contact Car Chase Heroes but they only cover their phone lines untiol 5.30pm on Friday. There is a Facebook page but this is just an automated response to a handful of common queries. When I emailed Car Chase Heroes to complain they were uspset at my entirely polite (but frustrated) email saying we don't like the tone of your email and stating that they are a family run business. They absolutely are - so be warned! You will not get any reasonable level of customer service and you literally cannot contact them if you have any problems from 5.30pm on Friday up to your booked session on a Sunday. In fact calling them late on a Friday is often fruitless.”
“I have already sent an email of feedback to explain our disappointment with elements of day which led to my two boys not wanting to complete the experience.
Unfortunately no refund was offered for the sight run, which was a complete waste of money, and a bog standard ‘no refund’ response was given.

“The postcode given for the venue took you to the opposite end of the race track. There were so many people trying to find access to the venue.....the same cars, including myself were going round in circles. Better signage is required to the site at Abingdon. I know this area well yet still struggled to find it!”
“I was supposed to be driving the Optimus prime replica truck, I was told upon arrival that it wasn't available and to pick a car from the board. This was the main part of the experience, and was supposed to be a twenty minute drive!
I went out on track and found this was designed for complete novices as it was a square shape with very low speed short corners, no overtaking possible with many non licensed young drivers on track, this of course made it difficult to truely see how the cars drove. The car was a cobra replica that seemed fine until I tried to select third gear, the instructor then informed me that the gear failed the day before so I would need to miss this out.
For my third vehicle of the day I was walked over to a standard open top Mustang. This was not the "Need for speed" 11-14 supercharged iconic Mustang from the movie that I had chosen. I refused and the instructor looked confused when I pointed out that this was not the car that I had chosen, I also pointed out that the car I had driven to the event in was a higher spec Mustang than any available at the event. As with the truck I was given no warning that this was not available.
I will add that this was a gift from my wife, who was also very disappointed to hear of the issues experienced.
I have taken part in many driving experiences at many locations and this did not compare in any way. I will say one positive experience was that the waiting times were very good, with little delay.”
“First time in May both cars mechanical faults and not available. Terrible customer service as the only cars available we had to pay more for! We decided to give them benefit of the doubt and re book (which we couldn’t do on the day) had to ring the office which actually took me day’s to get through. We returned a second time Sunday 31st July at Abingdon for the same cars!! Both were off again with mechanical faults - no notification to us so our 5 hours round trip completely waste of time. Customer service is appalling, and why do driving instructors not want a waiver but this joke of a company scares people into £25 waiver or proof of £5k deposit. This is a scam! We refused to pay this and they were so rude to us! but so many did pay!!
Just think 400 people on the day Purchasing x£25 gives them £10k!!! The toilets were appalling, filthy and there was nothing nice about this experience at all. The viewing area was tiny and could barely see anything. The kiddies track is a different one too - feels a reduced experience which isn’t nice. Overall, a burger van, the cars (on the 2nd occasion) off the road, rude staff and filthy toilets....also please note the minute my review gets published the next review will be 5 star and all complimentary! They are a scam of a company with no customer service .AVOID!!!!”
“Absolutely awful experience! Arrived on time for allocated slot 1.30pm and drive time of 2-3pm.
Greeted by a HUGE que and had to wait nearly an hour to check in only to be told the car we booked for my son to drive (his dream car ) was not available due to breaking down the previous day.
We had no choice but to choose another car and then waited a further 2 hours for my son to actually drive.
The voucher states 10 minutes/10 laps in the car he got just ONE.
Paid an extra £10 for a thrillseeker drive which was just in a BMW.
Paid £10 for my son to see the track prior to his drive which was a complete waste of time.
We then qued for another 45 mins to see the photos where we told only 2 were taken (there were meant to be more so they apologised) which were awful quality and no way i would pay even a pound for them yet alone £25!
Absolutely shocking experience avoid AVOID AVOID !!!!”
