“Not even worthy of one star - do not waste your time or money.
Hard to even explain how poorly organised and ran the day was - a shambles from start to finish.
After queuing for an hour from arrival we were booked in and went through to wait to be called to drive. However after another hour we thought something was wrong as no name had been called and went to check - my driver had not actually been booked in so we had been waiting for nothing - no apology from the person that had not booked him in properly. Although frustrating we were told that the driver would be pushed ahead to ensure he got the drives we had booked. Only this did not happen as as the day had been so clearly over booked the track shut before the driver had got any experience, leaving many people angry and frustrated. Why book a 3 hour experience from half past 2 if you know it gets dark at half 4? Such poor organisation and no apology from those organising the day. Poor system for taking names to issue refunds - could clearly see that this was not going to work. A waste of day and money. STAY CLEAR.”
“Not a great experience, very un organised and I found staff personally insulting to myself. I would not recommend a driving experience with this company please try someone else .
Please note I am trying to be polite in this review also the car I dove had warning lights on the dashboard showing the car needed attention!”
“Very pleased with staff help explanig booking in system , where to get started ect . All co drivers where excellent in showing me how to drive each car to the best of my abillity , ie just driving past my comfort zone was a real buzz many thanks.”
“Very friendly staff and instructors. Day flowed nicely. Just needed better signs to help me know where to go for sighting laps. Would definitely do again l.”
“Booked the 5 car package for my son who's 11 and has driven before. He did enjoy it but that was down to me pushing for him to go on the adult track. It was at 3 Sisters Race track which I appreciate is small however its pointless paying £300+ to drive super cars round a tiny track where you barely break 30mph....you could do that in a Fiat 500! The adult track he enjoyed which was mainly down to a good instructor who then wrote down on his form that he should continue on the big track....if he'd driven all 5 cars on the small oval track it would have been a complete waste of time and money!”
“Took both sons for a junior experience. Queues were huge & nowhere to park in the car park, we were then asked if we wanted to purchase a ‘sighting lap’ so I asked if this was needed for the junior experience & told yes it would be good to do. This was wrong as the junior driving is performed on a tiny inner lap to the proper circuit. Plus we paid £10 per child for it & they went in the same car. It is NOT needed.
The experience was a bit chaotic & not one we would want to repeat.”
“I had this for my 60th birthday, I booked it .went to the 3 sisters circuit, abut disappointed as did nt have the max truck only the uploaded, but we had booked the both, but they offered more time in truck or to come again .but decided on longer on the uploaded, it was a fab experience from start to finish . My cab trainer was fab and patience .just a Brill experience.”
“Don't know it was cancelled last minute and I had taken a day off work, it was a present for my grandson and he was extremely disappointed. I am rebooking for next march will write a further review afterwards.”
“The way the juniors in the group were treated, but can’t add photos as they were £25 per child ( £75 for my 3 ) and that’s not a luxury we could justify in today’s economy”
“Purchased a virgin experience voucher for my sons birthday for 3 cars 3 miles each car.
Waited 2 hours before getting in a car then 45 minutes between each car. One of the cars I’d paid extra for was not suitable and had to be changed.
My son was taken to a driver waiting area then to the cars and I was asked to wait outside this area. I was not informed that I could go with him to the cars for photos and so missed out on this.
A cartridge is provided to take to the the cars so a video is recorded. My son handed this in and it was not handed back to him by the first member of staff so we have no videos of the day. I chased this up whilst there and they accused my 11 year old of losing the cartridge, which he did not.
Expected to pay an extra £25 waiver fee for insurance which felt like a scam and was basically forced on you with threats of a £5000 bill even if the damage to the car was someone else’s fault and minimal.
My son loved driving the cars and enjoyed it but the set up, waiting, instructions and communication on the day were a joke. No photos or videos to show for his experience.
Too many people booked in at the same time so track busy. Purchased a high speed passenger ride which could not pick up any speed because the track was full!”
“This was a gift, all bought and paid for by kind friends, so it was a disappointment to have to pay an extra £25 to drive, just because I didn't have a credit card to hand with £5k on.
The need for the £5k was not on the short "things you need to bring" list, but apparently not bringing it was my own fault as it was clearly laid out in the full terms and conditions 🙄
I was given the choice to either pay £25 on the spot, or return another time with my card but pay a £30 admin fee. Felt like a scam to me. The phrase "you'll be charged £5k for any damage to the car, even if it's a small bump or someone else's fault, if you don't pay the £25 extra" added to the scamminess.
Fortunately driving cars is always fun, so the day was still a good one. I didn't get to drive the cars I actually booked, which was a shame, but I found some alternatives without a queue.
I think I was lucky that I didn't have to wait as long as some who have written reviews here. My 12 laps were done in 2.5 hours.
I'll drive at Three Sisters again and suggest others do too, but advise to avoid Car Chase Heros.”
“We had a better experience on the M25 in rush hour. Too many vehicles on the track to get any sort of driving experience, with a 1.5 hr wait in queue to register. Definitely better car experience companies out there than Car Chase Heroes.”
“Track day 23 October at Lichfield circuit unfortunately cancelled early as a nearby river burst its banks and flooded the paddock. Got to drive a Ferrari California which was really amazing with paddle gearshift, especially overtaking the slower cars with younger drivers. My instructor was really good and told me just enough to enjoy the drive and I felt confident driving such a powerful car. My 4 grown up sons videoed my drive and cheered me on, seeing me overtaking the other cars. Great fun. Car Chase Heroes did their best and all the staff were polite and friendly, whilst having to deal with a difficult situation. Many thanks Car Chase Heroes, looking forward to my other 2 drives next year!”
“My grandson aged 9 on the day loved his experience. He was a passenger in a lambogini and a mclaren spider. The drivers were great with him and put him at ease.
The only complaint I have was when we arrived prompt for our time slot there was a queue approx 1 mile long. Thinking that queue must be for something else, I went to enquire and said our slot was for 1.30pm it was now 1.25pm. I was told all the people in t he queue were for 1.30pm and we had to go to the back of the line.
I was rather taken back by that but we had to wait for 2 hours before the next queue. Waiting for the actual cars didn't take that long.
All in all we had a good day, but I do think it should be explained before going how long the waiting time will be.
We were lucky it was a nice day if it had been raining the day wouuü have been ruined .”
“It had been raining hard all morning with heavy downpours. We arrived at the venue and there were no clear directions of where to go or where to book in.Once booked in we were then left to find where we were meant to wait.Once at the waiting area due to the recent rain the grass area was becoming water logged and so most peoples feet were very wet by the time they were called to their car.Due to area becoming water logged the event was called off and instructions on how to re-book were not clearly explained.I did do one car ride but was disappointend that the video recording was of poor quality and it was unclear who was driving the car this could of been avoided if the driving instuctor had checked the direction of the camcorder. All in all a disappointing day.I then called to re-book the event and was told no dates were available as yet and to call back next month once I have checked the venue calendar! Would I recommend to others not sure I would!”
“AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF USING A BUY A GIFT VOUCHER.
We had our experience booked and then 2 days prior it was cancelled due to the car failing its safety checks. The company will now not re-book us as the voucher will be 'out of date'. Absolutely not our fault that the car failed its safety checks but we have to miss out. Customer service is absolutely disgusting.”
“Brought vouchers on a Black Friday deal so great value the day was great fun at stoneleigh the only thing I would say is that you need to have better sign for reception as we got in line at what we thought was as it had car chase hero all over it only to find that was were u get your photos at end , so we waisted time at wrong place”
“My husband had a driving experience on Monday 24th October. I thought it was not very good organised. We asked a question to the lady on the Mic, she was very sharp. We have had other track days and this by far the worst. This was at litchfield. Wouldn't do this experience again at that track.”
