“Delivery driver refused to put shed against brick wall which was 2m next to where he was unloading. Said kerb side drop off. Also refused to take pallet it was delivered on, again said not what he was paid for.
Shed was damaged on arrival although part of floor so hidden”

“Roofing felt was damaged on arrival, made a note on delivery note. Had to go and buy a roll, contacted company who said they would not reimburse cost. Then waited 2 weeks for them to send replacement felt!!, by which time shed was up and roof done. Poor service. Wont use company again”
“Disappointing experience. Rear panel was damaged on delivery. It took over a week and 4 phone calls to get a replacement, which was a completely different colour.
Quality of product was poor, as can be seen by my photos. One panel didn't have the overlaps nailed, so had to be fixed. Panel frames were poorly built, and didn't line up. Flooring is pretty thin and I don't think it will last long.”
“The Lyon arbour I ordered arrived on time but was not packaged, just seemed to be loose in the van. When we tried to put it together we realised to our disappointment that some parts were missing . I had to request the extra parts which did arrive but unfortunately took about another 10 days.”
“I have only rated as poor because shire garden buildings that elbec use were useless and lied to me continuously about the delivery and then admitted late in the afternoon the delivery driver wasn't even in work the day of delivery. They had to re arrange delivery for the following week when I had to take a second day off work. Elbec was ok to deal with and there customer services dealt with my complaint.”
“Your service was good, the Shires building was extremely poor. I wouldn't advise anyone to purchase a similar Shires buiding.
Knot holes in in timber, wall panels were not square, timber was rough finished.
Had to rebuild window panel as tongue and groove timbers did not match up adjacent wall panel. Support timbers in roof too weak as roof sags and a further support bracket is needed which I shall make.”
“The greenhouse wasn't equipped with the correct sized doors so we had to plane them. We also saw on the website that the marketing showed the greenhouse was painted already, so it was misleading. We like the greenhouse now it is done, but the doors are stiff and the hinges were not right for the doors. I wouldn't buy from this company again.”
“Ordered large wooden planter and trellis but delivery arrived without the trellis. Had to wait a few weeks for the delivery as it was and not happy after waiting that time that delivery not complete. Are currently still waiting the remaining trellis delivery and hoping will be received as advised. Do not want to cancel and return what we have already received as very good quality . Not sure if supplier or DX delivery issue.”
“The delivery was several weeks late, I was advise the arch had been sent to the delivery partner depot, but apparently it never arrived at the depot. I had to call several times to get an update on delivery, people said they would call back with information but failed to do so.
The item is delivered in kit form but the components are only part finished, eg rough sawn edges and all machined edges had to be hand finished. Nothing is pre drilled so it was fortunate I have advanced DIY skills, others may find it difficult to assemble.”
“The staff I spoke to were great but because the fixing kit was wrongly put together by the manufacturer it was a long process to resolve. Solved in the end by putting me in contact with the manufacturer.”
“We ordered a vegetable trig. There was no liner included in t(e price,or the option to buy one separately. This is odd and annoying as it it very difficult to try and obtain a liner separately. Liners should be included at an additional cost”
“Some plastic window panes were missing and 4 were damaged. I called customer services and they weren't helpful. I had to email them with a photograph of the damaged panes and missing windows. Given the small nature of this couldn't new panes just be sent out in the post rather than giving to go through all this rigmarole.”
“Two of the three planters I ordered were damaged and missing parts. I had to repair parts myself, and it took several weeks for the requested parts to be delivered.”
“The design looks good, but the construction is not fit for purpose and very badly manufactured.
See photos. The bottom is too flimsey to hold soil so had to add better support. Whoever stapeled this together has no idea of accuracy or pride in the work (I kept the labels if you would like them). I had to take many pieces apart to straighten in order for the pieces to fit.”
“The product supplied was not joined/cut well - lots of 5/10cm chips from the wood, cuts made at one length, stopped then re-cut at a longer length, leaving missing areas of wood.
Half of the doors were bent out of shape, so fit at the bottom, but not at the top.
Instructions were good, fixtures and fittings ok.
Not worth the price it’s sold at.”
