“Been using this company for a number of years and they are great. Although a bit pricey ( I suppose you get what you pay for), their website is good, along with communications and the hauliers used have gone beyond just a professional delivery to help ensure the load is as near to my storage area as possible. Drivers have always communicated and been very helpful.
Thank you Logs Direct!”
“The logs and firelighters/kindling were securely packed on a wooden pallet.
I haven't used them yet as I am still making my way through my previous mammoth bag of logs, which I am also very satisfied with. The ordering process is easy on line but I know I can 'chat' if i was having difficulty.”
“I have used Logs Direct over the last year and we have always received a great service, good quality logs, deliver as promise thanks to a great service provider for delivery of its goods”
“The delivery man wheeled the huge bag of logs on a dolly to my garage which was great (I wasn't at home at the time), but rather than push the said logs into the garage, which was open, he left them next to it. As an older women alone, I could not move the logs and even with help from two other people,we struggled. We ended pushing the bag on it's side which culminated in logs spilling out all over the driveway. I know that the 'script' is kerbside delivery but given that the driver had gone to the ttrouble of pushing the logs to my garage it seems strange that he didn't go the extra foot and push them into the garage.”
“Hi there, we're long standing customers of yours, and big fans in general, you give a great service. one thing was that our last delivery of logs was wet, and not burning well. Big surprise as it's kiln dried hardwood. This is despite being double wrapped in sellophane (hope you're phasing out, this single use, non recyclable plastc?), and quickly taken inside. It's not usually like this.
Like to see you finding ways to reuse your bags too. We took you back some as we were on way to Scotland, but we'd collaborate with other local customers to send these back if you can enable?”
“Very efficient and helpful. My logs were delivered on a very rainy day but someone had taken the trouble to cover them with plastic to stop them getting wet - much appreciated!”
“Mostly good quality hardwood that still needs a bit of time to dry before it will burn properly. About 20% of the pieces are large root logs. While they are about 25cm long, they are almost equally wide (see picture; the right one is perfect) making them hard to fit into my wood burner. I tried to split them, but but they're too hard.
Delivery was difficult. Logsdirect informed me that they had delivered to the local depot. No further indication was given as to the delivery date. Two days later, while at work, I got a call from a driver who wanted to deliver the logs. As I can't teleport home, he offered me to cancel the delivery or to drop it with a neighbour. Both not great options for a pallet full of wood. Further discussion got him to leave the pallet in front of my house.
Overall, good wood (5 stars) but delivery and consistent sizing need work (-1 star)”
“Some logs are very big for a small stove. Good service, but lacking in the communications department especially on the delivery. I would like to have more than 10 minutes notice before they arrive. Telling me the day before delivery would be ideal Having said that delivery guy was lovely.”
“I purchased the Kiln Dried Mammoth & Woodcoal Bundle from Logs Direct Ltd and it was brilliant, bone dry hard wood and loads of it, Woodcoal, Kindling and the best fire lighters I have ever used (Eco Wood Wool Firelighters). I will definitely be buying another.”
