I ordered 4 chicks all were very healthy and looked great! They are over a week old now and all are thriving! They are very sweet and friendly.

I found the website to be user friendly and filled with helpful information. I was worried about ordering chicks, but the packaging was excellent and the chicks were beautiful and healthy. They are thriving.

The customer service is great . Out of 6 babies chickens only one survived 3 days shipping is to long for the babies chickens

I’ve had chickens and chicks for many years but this is the first time I’ve ever purchased any online. The buying process was pretty straight forward, and I made sure to select a ship date that I would be available for the upcoming weeks to take care of our new chicks. I purchased a total of 25 chicks. I received an email stating that my chicks were shipped on a Tuesday. The email also stated that I should receive my chicks between Tuesday and Thursday, and if I have not received them by Thursday at 5pm to let them know. Thursday evening came, I made a trip to my local post office to see if they have arrived, and they have not. I was told they would not be there until Friday. Mind you, it is October, they were shipped out of Ohio to Kentucky, the weather is getting down into the 30’s at night. Friday morning I received a call from the post office saying they arrived. I picked up my chicks. Out of 25 chicks, 2 of them had sadly passed, 8 of them were extremely lethargic. I get them home, immediately give them food, water, and heat. I emailed MyPetChicken and told them what had happened. They sent me a care plan for the lethargic chicks. I followed the care plan but sadly it did not help. By Sunday, I had lost a total of 10 chicks. MyPetChicken put the blame on the post office, but these chicks were in a box with nothing to keep them warm but themselves. Some chicks appear to be older than the others (different breeds) but already had feathers and much bigger than some of the others. Out of the 15 chicks that made it, several have pasty butt, which is a condition I’ve never experienced with ANY of the hundreds of chicks I’ve had in the past. They did give me a refund for 9 of the 10 chicks I lost, they didn’t give me a refund for the 10th chick because they sent 26 instead of 25 so they were assuming the free one they give me was one of the 10 which passed away, which is a fair assumption, but considering I lost almost half my flock you would think they’d be a little more considerate. Anyway, rather it be the post offices fault or MyPetChickens fault, I will never buy online again given this experience, and the loss of life and conditions these chicks were put through. I’m honestly surprised this is even allowed if this is their normal practice.

Not sure you want this but 4 out of 6 chicks arrived dead, two deliveries of three chicks each. The heating pad in both deliveries was cold, like the chicks. USPS is a problem because they are slow. Maybe arrange special handling for live deliveries.

We received the chicks at around 3:30 pm Oct 17th (Thursday). Six of them showed up very weak, could barely stand, we fed them sugar water to resuscitate them, but two still did not make it last night. The good news is all the others looked quite healthy from what we observed the following morning. (now it's one week old, everyone looks happy and energetic.) The package looks very nice, the chickens should be protected quite well. it's not MyPetChicken's fault. we think the main cause is they were on the trip for too long -- we started tracking the package Tuesday afternoon and from the tracking info they were in the box for two and half days. We write this to you hoping in the future, you can work with the delivery company to shorten this duration within two days. The short of why I ordered from My Pet Chicken and will order from them again: -Ship fewer chicks -Sex even Bantam chicks -Excellent costumer service This was the first time I ordered from My Pet Chicken. I was satisfied with the previous hatchery that I have ordered from but the breeds I wanted were sold out and would have to order 10 chicks and I wanted no more than 5. I ordered one female Silked White Easter Egger, one male and one female Black Australorp, one female Buff Orpington, and one female Cuckoo Marans, all day old chicks. They shipped out on Monday and I received a call early Wednesday morning to come pick them up from the Post Office. The two Australorps chicks seemed smaller and did not want to eat much. One of them finally figured it out and is now thriving. The other chick only lived four days. I hand fed her/him two and a half of those days but the chick was just too weak, sometimes that happens. As for the rest of the chicks they are playful and curious and love to eat!! The Silked White Easter Egger is more timid than I had hoped but still very sweet.

We cannot express how happy we are that we have met, and perhaps exceeded, your expectations! We offer smaller minimums as we understand that many locations may have restrictions on the number of birds for flock keeping and wanted to do what we could to help those who do not need - nor want - a very large flock. As flock keepers ourselves, we truly can understand many of the wonderful things about the adventure as well as some of the headaches and will do all we can to make things easier for others. My chicks came in perfect and alive and we received the exact breeds we asked for. We did have one of the jersey giants not make it after a couple of days but the rest of them are strong and healthy.

My Pet Chicken has some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen. They go out of their way to help with orders and even provided me with a direct POC for my shipment (was attempting to add additional chicks). 13 out of 14 chicks arrived healthy, one did not make it however it is to be expected with shipping risks, was refunded immediately for the one that passed. They also have chicks that are hard to find elsewhere with reasonable prices. Definitely will use My Pet Chicken again.

We are first time chicken owners and decided to get 4 orpington chicks (all different types) from My Pet Chickens. They arrived chirping and healthy still 3 weeks later. Growing so fast! We had an easy and good experience with this company. Fast shipping for us- shipped Monday, arrived Tuesday.
