“The care and humane treatment of these chickens is the main reason I tried Pasturebird. The bird came frozen in two days after ordering it. It was a very good weight (3 to 4 lbs.) and I typically bake the whole chicken to then use the meat to make soups, have chicken with salads and so forth. I would absolutely purchase again from Pasturebird for all my chicken needs.”
“The box arrived smashed up there was no ice of any kind just chicken packages in some cooler foam that was not fully intact due to box smashed up. There were 4 packages the the vacuum seal was broken. A better way of protecting the meat is needed and I would be concerned ordering during the warm months with how it was currently shipped.”

“I received by Pasturebird order of 10 whole chickens and they looked amazing! I like that the packaging doesn't have any holes even when submerged in water. We have had two birds so far; whole, and cut into pieces and the size is perfect. We get 3-4 meals per bird. We used to have a farm and raise chickens. We missed the quality of pasture-raised birds. Pasturebird is amazing and we will be repeat customers! Even with an arctic storm the week of delivery (we live in Texas) the package came timely and in perfect frozen condition.”

What is that anyway? This product is fresh, trimmed, packaged while frozen for shipping and arrives that way in a timely manner. Love the way the chickens live and are cared for. “I was hoping for a stelar experience, but sadly, this was not the case. The reason for 1 star is the lack of response from the customer service when needed. I’ve ordered on a Thursday and my order was shipped only Tuesday, even if the only information provided at checkout was “delivery fedex - 2 days”. But, I was fine with that; eating healthy, quality food (meat in this case) means a lot me. According to the FedEx tracking, I was supposed to receive the package on Thursday. On Friday morning, the package was nowhere to be found, and the update on FedEx was delivery date unknown. Concerned about the perishable nature of the package, I wrote to customer service asking for a full refund, since apparently FedEx is not in a hurry to deliver. I was ready to understand the various factors that might have been prevented this delivery from going smoothly, like the weather for example, but the lack of response or acknowledgement or action from the company was disheartening. It is now Sunday, the FedEx estimated delivery date is “pending”, and I have no package and no resolution to my request for a full refund. I can only imagine the condition of the raw meat that was almost one week on the road, and this is definitely nothing that I want to have in my fridge. So disappointed.”
“Unhappy with shipping and safety of product. 6 packages were open upon arrival. Made a complaint to company and was advised by customer service that it happens with shipping and they were using new packaging. They offered a 10 % discount on my next order. I had to throw away the 6 opened packages because I did not know if they were sent that way or damaged in transit. Not taking any chances folks. Should have been at least offered a refund or replacement for the damaged product. I have ordered $1000s from other online retailers and never experienced problems such as this. The box did not even contain dry ice as stated on their website. Order at your own risk.”
