“Overall, the product is amazing which is why I am giving 3 stars. However, my most recent order was delayed (not pasturebirds fault) but sat in a warehouse all weekend and was only slightly cool when it finally arrived. Upon contacting them, they did send out another package. This package has also been delayed and will be sitting in a warehouse all weekend once again. Love the product but I think the shipping process needs some fine tuning. Maybe only ship out on Mondays and do a maximum of 3 day shipping? Not sure the solution but definitely think it needs to be explored.”
“I requested a ship date which was confirmed. I rec'd email stating my shipping label was created 1 wk early. I emailed and was told it would not ship for 1 wk, on the requested date.It showed up 2 days later, causing a huge scramble to make room in freezer under pressure. Sev items had to be removed. Thank goodness I was not out of town. Not a great 1st impression. Should have option to select ship date on website. Not having a customer service phone number is poor service. Email response was reasonably prompt and courteous. I hope the chicken tastes good.”
“Very happy that Chickens arrived as scheduled date and on time. packed nicely however, the number of packs received for drumsticks was only 5 packs instead of 9 as in the description. disappointment on the amount received not matching what it's said.”
“I’ve used paturebird and enjoyed. Recently I rejected my order because the box was two days late being delivered and box was very warm. The extreme heat had caused melting. Very disappointed”
“I have ordered a few orders from pasturebird. This time, unfortunately my order was a bit thawed out. Previously I haven't had issues with that, so it was a little disheartening!”
“Packages have holes and leak as they defrost. My last box came to me late and partially defrosted despite another arriving frozen. Customer service was basically lump it. One reason I was a customer of butcher box for so long was that they always made things right. I wanted to get US produced pastured meat and I believe in the way Pasturebird harmonizes land and animal husbandry. They just need to do better with packaging logistics and customer service.”
“The meat was partially thawed. The vacuum seal was broke on 50% of bags and received in 3 days not 2 days which in the summer is not good with meat. Was disappointed in this. Will not be ordering again during the warm months without 2 day ship guarantee.”
“We love the chicken breast and how tender it is. However the thighs, drumsticks and half chicken are full of veins. I’ve cut open a thigh and had blood just run out, it’s almost impossible to get meat off of the dark meat.”

“I have been buying from Paturebird for about 5 months now. I am absolutely loving their product and would highly recommend the quality. However, about 2/3 of my orders have had something missing. The customer service is really nice about remedying this, but It would be nice to get everything I ordered the first time.”
“My 4 whole chickens arrived with 1 being nearly fully thawed and the other three partially. Consider adding Freezer packs to avoid unthawing.
I put them in teh freezer right away. Makes me worried it was maybe spoiled but I think it was ok.”
“First, delivery said 2 days fedex, but it took four days for us to receive our package of $100 worth of chicken. When I thawed some of the chicken, I was surprised at how small the pieces were for wings and thighs. Not a ton of meat on these things, so when you say one pack is 1.5lbs of chicken, to me the majority of that is the bones. Undecided on taste difference to be honest, so not sure if we’ll continue to do business with them.”
