“We love the farming practices of pasture bird and we were excited to order chicken breasts from them again. Chicken is great! Some of the packages were open when we received them, figured it was just from delivery and ate them anyway. Otherwise good!”
“When I first viewed the website most of the meat I wanted to order was sold out (breasts, thighs). There was an option to be notified of when it was availble but I received no such notice. I found out it was available after I got an email about touring the farm (which won't happen as I live out of state). I decided to check out whether the meat was available and got lucky.
Other than that ordering was easy. I am delighted with having the option to order pasture raised chicken.”
“Shipping statement. Recommend that the company comes up with a better way of shipping their goods. I ordered 12 lbs of goods, asked for expedited shipping. Was told an extra brick of ice be added. In two days from a state next door the order arrived a quarter thawed. Shocked because the box itself was outrageously large for the order, meaning all that extra space was nothing but hot air. Literally. Recommend shipping like Force of Nature or NorthStar Bison. This was the third time. First two times… chicken wasn’t no longer frozen. Not good.”
“Love your chicken! Not so in love with the butchers.
Chicken breast are cut poorly and the wings are terribly butchered. I have gotten pieces that should have been scrapped. It’s my only wish that the meat would look like what you prepare for the markets.”
“I'm going to continue to look to see if it's the best chicken I've had. I'm not happy with the new packaging. It makes the chicken breasts less appealing. That's why I took off 1 star.”
“I love the chicken but when you ship with dry ice with no protection around the chicken (insulated bag) the plastic packs rip so the chicken isnt sealed
It happens to most of the packs, i always order 12 packs of the chicken”
“I have been a customer since Pasturebird started, the introduction of automated butchering, and the requirement of bird size to achieve this, meaning the birds must be older and bigger, makes the products despite higher quality of raising, presents the product the same as all other commercial butchered products. I miss the small hand processed parts, same as what I can achieve at home. The taste is great the parts are big and require trimming and fat removal. The older processing allowed for package to oven without hand prep. I don't know if I would purchase again despite the superior quality.”
“Amazing chicken....but can be hard to get. They've been out of Chicken Breast for a long time. You can get whole chickens, drumsticks regularly. Both are excellent. Thighs are hit and miss....sometimes out of stock for extended time. I'd buy more if there was more inventory. Good problem to have if you are Pasturebird...means you have an amazing product that you can't keep in stock”
“We & everyone we shared them with in southern California really savoured our first bulk order.
This second one just arrived today in good condition, so we haven't had any yet but our southern New York group is eagerly anticipating.”
“The ordering a delivery experience was lovely. So far we tried a whole chicken and it was amazing. Can’t wait to try some of the other cuts we ordered!”
“Thighs were awesome!! Wings were good, on the small side which I understand, my boyfriend thought they were a little veiny.
I love the brand and the product!”
“I normally buy boneless skinless chicken breasts which are delicious! But they have been out of stock for a long time now, so I had to settle for the thighs. They are also very tasty and juicy, but I prefer the chicken breasts. Both are very high-quality sources of protein and are not factory farmed which is a great plus!”
“First heard about you thru 7 Sons, like being able to support a farmer in CA that raises chickens like God intended. Chicken arrived frozen and prompt, pleasure doing business with you”
