I have the complete subscription, but I am having trouble as driving along sometimes my Road Angel goes off And loses connection and takes several minutes which includes several miles at one time 15 miles before it came back on of which I went past two safety cameras, I am also having trouble with the app I cannot seem to stop it from buffering, I’ve checked to try and get in touch with Road Angel and cannot seem to find numbers or anyway to connect up to them so I can get these problems sorted out, at the moment, not very happy

Angel Pure is a great product star ratings are low mainly because of how long it took me to get my delivery paid £14.99 for a Saturday delivery and it took a week to get it delivered then I ordered a second product a sticky pad for the window which I think was about £23 pounds and it cost £9.99 to get it delivered I ended up useing a company called Letang Auto's they were great Dan the owner spoke to me on the phone explaining he was a same company and his customer's were very important to him and it was genuine Road Angel parts great people at Letang Auto's maybe look at the real cost to deliver a product and pass that on to the customer

As a long time user of RAs (have three) going right back to the B2 origins, I was at the point of upgrading my elderly units that were struggling with the size of the current updates. Did think twice about it as the database seems to be struggling to keep up with the changes in the roadworks average speed sections these days and I'm starting to get my head around Waze now that cars have Appleplay. The subscription is now a not inconsiderable £200/year and for that I'd be expecting perfection. The massive diappointment however was the new hardware, the same body moulding but for some reason the base has been changed so every vehicle will need to be re-fitted. The base is no longer the electral connection, just a magnetic base, but the price of them has gone up astronomically compared to the old - if they actually have any in stock. The small bit of good news is that it grips the base more strongly than the previous. The bad news is that you now need to connect the power cable into the unit directly, with the number of failures of the previous socket I've seen I hope that it is improved in this version. I move units between vehicles so I can see issues from the connector from frequent use. What should have been a simple upgrade of a unit that has been part of my motoring for over a decade has been a massive disappointment and has actually left me quite angry, my direct complaint to RA got a glib reply and after that I was just ignored. If I was running the business and needing as many £200 subscriptions as I could get, I would be making the hurdle to get my loyal customers onto current units as low as possible.

Negative: The Ultima has no screen on it so you can only see the scene if you connect to your phone which is such a shame! Can’t swivel the dash cam around once it’s mounted on the window like I was able to with a Nextbase dash cam. Is slightly bigger than the Nextbase dash cams. Positive: clear 4k view on the phone. Slightly wider view than Nextbase. Easier to connect and navigate on the phone than Nextbase. Overall Road Angel in my opinion is better than Nextbase but just buy the one that has a screen on the dash cam not the Ultima.

Not impressed, dash cam received was obviously not new, box was not wrapped with heat shrunk polythene, instruction leaflet was torn and looked used, electrostatic sticker was missing and dash cam had fine scratches by the usb port, after a week it went into a loop of emergency recording and recorded 52 events in a 20 minute journey, contacted customer services and the guy obviously didn't know his products, he said pressure the reset button, there isn't one on the halo ignite, he then said press the power button 5 times, there is no power button, have managed to stop the fault by unplugging the hard wire usb c connector, I'm giving it another week to see how it goes but road angel are only interested in repairing it, which I'm not happy about as it's only just over a week old and should be replaced, never again, shame on you for selling repaired repackaged stock as new !!!

Outstanding Camera Quality, but Let Down by the Accessories and Software The cameras themselves are undeniably high-quality, delivering excellent performance and clarity. However, the overall experience falls short due to subpar instructions, lackluster accessories, and underwhelming app functionality—all of which feel out of sync with the premium price point. If Road Angel could refine these supporting elements, they would undoubtedly have a first-class product offering that truly matches the impressive hardware.

This review is purely based on the poor customer service that I experienced. After purchasing my camera installation kit and arranging to have the dash cam installed by Road Angel's professional fitters, I contacted Road Angel again as I noticed they offered a price match on their website, listing Halfords among other brands. Since I reached out within a couple of hours of my order, I assumed this would be honored by Road Angel. Two days later, I eventually spoke to the same sales team member who had been very helpful in guiding me through all the products and finding the correct camera for me. However, I was told that matching either the price of the camera or the installation cost wasn't possible. The representative also disparaged their advertised partner, Halfords, suggesting they did "shoddy work." This seemed contradictory and possibly an excuse to avoid honoring the price match. I requested to cancel the order and inquired about the return process for the items that had arrived, as well as the refund for the fitting that hadn't been arranged. I was met with shock and sarcasm, which was unprofessional and unexpected. Returning the items and obtaining a refund was also problematic. Half of the order was refunded, but the installation fee was withheld until I followed up. The same sales member responded with sarcasm and sent me empty installation emails with no explanation, seemingly trying to imply that I had agreed to terms I hadn't actually signed. Eventually, after further clarification and insistence on my part, the error was acknowledged and the installation fee was refunded. Overall, the camera I had installed by Halfords has been great and works well for my needs. However, the Road Angel sales team appeared more focused on making a sale than adhering to their company's guidelines.

My road Angel had a hardware fault 5 weeks out of guarantee. I was offered a repair at £119, half the value of the road Angel with only a 3 month guarantee. I decided to purchase a new one but was not offered any discount. I’m a long term customer but after experiencing the above I shall not buy anything else from Road Angel. The real shame is the products are good & previous purchase have been reliable.

Disorganised ordering with fitting at Halfords. Link provided to Halfords didn’t work, once sorted there were no booking slots, can’t call local store so visited to be told they only fit Halfords sold units, once that sorted Halfords then needed car to inspect for suitability first before booking the fitting at a second visit. Instead went with mobile fitting service outsourced to RS Connect which was more expensive but they did a good job (so extra star). No user manual for the unit purchased, RoadAngel advised it not written yet. They provided a draft version which had couple useful bits but clearly short of decent quality.

Pure one is slow to up date changes of speep limit. Disappointing that on the fist day of using the unit with a £149 subscription that average speed cameras on the M53 and the 50 mph was not listed. As well as this I also found the speed limit on the A5 was incorrect just after Llangollen. The advanced warning only appears to be 400mm despite setting at 1000m. Lot of money for below average performance

You sell road angel halo pro as a front and rear camera but if you change your car and just take the cameras out you then require a new hardwire kit that’s ok but when you order a new kit you only supply wire for the front camera and forget to inform customer they also need to purchase a rear extension cable

The set up experience is extremely poor. Badly described, difficult to walk through with numerous brickwalls due to key missing information e.g. 'this wont happen unless you are outside' and generally poor coordination between the app, the device and the subscription commitment you only discover when its too late. I hate to think how much avoidable call centre overhead you incur because of poor CX design
