“A middle-of-the-road three stars from me. I bought the policy yesterday, before collecting the car. The website’s very slow payment processing crashed, so I had to repeat the payment. Later, on checking my bank account, two identical payments appear to be pending. The only telephone number given is for claims (I understand this is how they keep costs down) but there is no email address with which to correspond either, which is poor. The Live Chat is worse than useless for the type of problem I had, and trapped me in an endless loop of the same suggestions. On the plus side, the cover is what I wanted and the price was good. Just hope I don’t need to contact them for anything else - as it’s impossible.”
“Easy website to navigate, competitive price, however, the 'breakdown cover' included, is not so, as there is a 20 pound excess charge to pay, upfront, should a call out be made. Stealthy ?”
“As I didn’t renew with your company I can’t say and can’t use your portal to inform your company as it won’t let me even says I don’t have a policy due for renewal or that I even have one with your company”
“I haven’t had to use my insurance, however when I renewed it I was surprised and not very happy that the payment was taken from my account two weeks before the actual renewal date. Why?”
“I was quoted a higher renewal price than i could get by searching and accepting the quote from a company that searches for comparisons. I accepted this but it was only valid for one day. I had no success with the pop up help on the website at all, it just kept saying it did not understand my question and none of the example queries were relevant. It’s like dealing with a robot.🤖”
“The insurance and extras are excellent. The reason i have given 3 stars is because everyone tells you do your insurance early so i did. Yesterday the quote which i paid was £314 for the year today its £299 for exactly the same insurance so i am £15 out of pocket as a new customer.”
“After paying for the insurance I read the policy documents and realised I needed to make a few minor changes eg the date the car was purchased. The online chat bot couldn’t help and neither could a real person on chat as the system was down. They were auto email me if there was going to be any extra cost. Still haven’t heard anything. At least I have a trans roof the chat, to show I tried 🤷♀️”
“Very happy with the original renewal quote and the ease of use of the customer portal. However the renewal premium was repriced when I made a few minor last minute amendments - named driver now retired rather than working, and now has own car. Neither in my view should increase the risk/premium. Too late to source alternative quite so begrudgingly renewed. Happy with the service, but unhappy at poor practice for a loyal customer.”
“I have just taken out a car insurance policy with Yoga. It was easy enough to set up online although I think there is some kind of problem with their website and given that the only way you can contact them is online this is concerning. On two out of the three occasions I have gone on the website to either buy my policy or log in, the page goes pale and a circle appears on the page and it spins round for absolutely ages and nothing happens. While this has been a bit annoying, I do worry that if I was trying to make a claim or access breakdown assistance this problem with the website would be infuriating at best and, if I had broken down and was unable to access the breakdown service , it could be downright dangerous. I hope Yoga sort this problem out.”
“I got a good deal for which I am grateful and the additional services, once navigated were easy. I had trouble keeping the same price between sites, I used Quidco and the rate was x and by the time I got to the Yoga site it went up £30 to Y. I got there in the end. The customer account is clear and looks easy to use, albeit I hope I never need it!”
“I was unable to add a friend as an additional driver, apparently it has to be a family member, but what happens if you don't have a family member but need an additional driver ?????”
