The agent told me that the pay later option was best for my situation- but failed to mention that i would have to pay the whole fee if the sale didn’t happen within 10 months. Probate was required and the land registry had a 3-4 month delay at that time - he mid sold to me and I’m left trying to pay £1500 with an unsold property. Their customer complaint dept is so condescending, they just want cash and blamed me for “taking the cheap option”!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY! TRULY AWFUL - Very long story but lost time, money and sleep over how this business conducts itself. Disgraceful.

Awful experience, avoid like the plague. Wish I had seen these reviews before inviting a salesman into our home. I was after a free valuation to find out about how much the house is worth as my partner had left me with my daughter and we needed to find out if there is a way I can buy him out. The man who came gave me unsolicited advice and massively over estimated the price of the house (reputable estate agents have all quoted around 250/£260,000, he estimated 320,000) asked me of my personal situation and told me completely insensitively, that I had no chance of getting a mortgage or being able to afford to stay in the house with my 2 year old, and we would have to downsize and or rent. He said that the government don't care about single mums as long as they have a roof over their head whether that's in social housing or whatever. As well as other statements that were totally out of his remit, he also told me that legally I had to give him my exs mobile number and name, which I felt extremely uncomfortable about and I questioned this. He said I had to give him his details and that I could be screwed over in the future if I tried to not tell my ex about the valuation as he can back track and claim back for lost profit on the house that would all be at my expense. I have since found out this was a lie and he didn't have to have his details. I now worry he will go behind my back and give my ex the inflated house price to encourage him to go ahead with a sale. I ended up in tears feeling really backed into a corner and I asked him to leave.. All in front of my 2 year old. Wish I had never let this company into my home. Do not trust these people they have no morals.

Martin Green was always helpful but never 'pushy'. My sale became very tricky because my buyer and their buyer had to complete before their mortgage deals expired. Without the use of the YOPA Hub where I could 'talk' directly with my buyer, I believe the deal would have fallen through. I would recommend YOPA to anyone and that's without the saving of £2,500.00 plus in commission and VAT. tonyfrench

It is a shame. My viewing was on 18/11/2022 in DA8 area. Young-man who came to show me the flat explained everything to me. I was so happy offered within 4h of viewing. all requested documents were given immediately. I sent few e-mails as well as few calls but he himself found some sort of excuses for not given any decision on my offer. However, I found three lenders who were willing to offer a mortgage. Unfortunately, it has been already 7weeks??? NO news from anyone working for YOPA. Most importantly, I was foolish enough to write a very good customer review on this company and the staff which i regret very much. Please think few times before you believe these cow boys and girls.

Just had a bill from yopa to say you owe 1300 fee even though they didn’t sell our house . Their agent gave me 2 options 999 upfront or 10 month deferred nothing was said that this would still be payable if they didn’t sell. No sale no fee was ever mentioned at first visit. We feel a we have now been ripped off do not use this company use a reputable high street estate agent

Absolutely disgusting was sold the wrong contract even though I took my house off the market as Yopa agreed they couldn’t sell it they are now asking for £1200 something about the 10 months being up. I was told no sale no fee and would only pay after 10 months if still on the market. What a horrible company in this economic climate I can’t pay that money now I’m in more debt !

The agent didn't tell us everything that was included in contract. He picked the wrong contract for us knowing all the info we gave. Then we couldn't get out of it and had to pay . Do not use these, sell yourself or go to a high street agent. Will not use or advise anyone to use.

First time buyers, chain-free. Property we want to buy is also chain-free. Touted as a quick exchange on Rightmove. More than eight months after having our offer accepted, here we still are, waiting for YOPA and their preferred conveyancer, Arrow Conveyancing, to sort out paperwork and respond to emails / pick up the darn phone when we call. Our solicitors and I have been chasing both of them daily with no response whatsoever. I have even complained to YOPA three times - with no response. Quelle surprise. Both the seller and I are pulling our hair out. On the plus side, only 6 more weeks of monkeying around to go until the Property Ombudsman steps in and we take legal action. In the meantime, frustration levels through the roof. AVOID AVOID AVOID this zero star company.

I recently paid 1200 pounds to Yopa to sell my property, agent Callum Davies from Swansea was the worst agent I have ever dealt with! The complete lack of communication, lies, not turning up for viewings he'd booked himself has been absolutely awful! He put my property up as freehold for over 2 months knowing full well it's was a leasehold! I accepted an offer on the property and went and put a deposit down on a new build only to have them pull out when they realised it was leasehold! Callum took no responsibility and I lost my deposit! I asked for another agent and instead yopa have pulled my advert down and are now ignoring my complaint! Avoid yopa at all cost! Especially Callum Davies he's a disgusting rip off merchant!

Communication is zero, we found background checks were not done, as other agents would be doing ,4 times , buyers were lost through miscommunication to us about there circumstances it took 14 months to move it was sheer hell and we will never use online agents again we will stick to the old fashioned way ,the high Street.

Just don’t bother - save your money and sell your house yourself, or just use a proper estate agent. The start of the process was brilliant and efficient but the sales progression team in Pontefract & Castleford are awful. We are due to complete tomorrow and at every hurdle our buyer has made error after error. Yopa have failed to manage him and communicate effectively, meaning that we are thousands of pounds out of pocket if the transaction collapses. I’ve had to personally project manage the transaction and this is what I have paid Yopa to do. Rest assured I will be making a formal complaint over the lack of service received, as the fee is extortionate for a glorified Facebook advert. The only saving Grace is that we chose our own solicitor (although Yopa attempted to railroad us into using their “recommended” conveyancer). I can only imagine how atrocious this process would have been if that was the case.

Put an offer on a house, hopefully our new home. Sadly not to be as Yopa didn't bother to tell us that someone else put an offer in. Really can't see the point in estate agents that don't bother communicating with the very people that keep them in a job. Very poor service.

Completed on my house 30/9/22 but no money turned up ? They recommended Spencer Lockwood conveyancing and said they put a lot business their way , 4 days later still no money ? I put a review on them and the conveyancer called me and told me he didn’t agree with the negative review ? Just told the truth! Me and my children are now sleeping on a friend’s sofa , it’s appalling the way we have been treated, Spencer Lockwood said they can keep my money for 5 days as per their terms , thanks for putting me in this situation and I hope you feel proud as a company

Yopa are only good if you sell your property quickly, even then the after sales is poor at best. You get no feedback after viewings so you have no idea on people's opinions on your property, in times like this when the market is changing Yopa do not give you any assistance as they already have you locked in with their pre-payment offers. If you use Yopa you have to be prepared to do a lot of work yourself.

We have been emailing Yopa to speak to someone all we got back was that he is not working on holiday.we spend approximately 5 hours cleaning the house from top to bottom for viewings to which most of them don’t even turn up to view the house. total waste of time. We also had one booked in on a Saturday morning to which we didn’t know about till they knocked on the door we was very disappointed with yopa over this as I had to show them round the house & it wasn’t how I like the house to look for viewings. Then to top it off one weekend again only two out of three turned up & the back patio door was left unlocked we was going to go down to Southend for the day but changed our plans which was a good job we did or the house would have been left open all day for someone to just walk in .this was the final straw also no one has come round to do a EPC on the house.to which they are changing us for. We have cctv in our house on one occasion we had people videoing the house on there phone also going upstairs on there own while the agent stood in the kitchen talking to his wife. If you are looking to sell your house do not go to yopa I have cancelled them now but they still want there money to which I am now going to the property ombudsman I would not even give them one star

Customer service non existent house over valued then told to drop £50K! People could not book viewings, original agent left and we were never informed, new agent compared to a house to a much less desirable property as did not know the area all we are left with is a blil. They are not interested if it sells as they get paid anyway!

Terrible - tried to get a viewing on one property, agent more interested in trying to get us on their books for a sale, not exactly selling his service to us when he then did not give us a viewing for the requested property. Tried for another property in a different area, therefore a different YOPA agent - no response.

We made an offer over the asking price for a property in Inverbervie Scotland DD10 on Thursday afternoon which was accepted by the owner and we instructed our solicitor to conclude the deal only to discover by Friday email at 10pm that the property has been sold to another person does Yopa not understand scottish law when a offer has been accepted in scotland you can not accept another offer unless the deal falls through. Do not trust this Company.
