I have had a terrible experience with Yopa. My so called local agent went AWOL for 2 weeks. A great sales pitch originally and then nothing. I had a note placed through my letterbox from someone who had been trying to arrange a viewing of my property but no one would respond. I contacted Yopa to complain and said the service was unacceptable and I wanted to go with another Estate Agent given the very unacceptable service. I asked to speak to someone I got an email saying a fee of £2098 was being requested from me right now and their finance people would progress because I dared to say I’m not happy with the service and I want my listing removed. Yopa need to be investigated. This is definitely atrocious customer service and a way of getting money for nothing from people who can’t afford to be ripped off. I’m taking this all the way. This is something Martin Lewis should investigate. Do not under any circumstances use this company. I’m reminded of the very good advice we should all live by. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Pay the extra to a legitimate local Estate Agent. All you’re doing with Yopa is giving them money for nothing and paying another estate agent anyway. Lesson learnt. The hard way.

Please please do not go with Yopa. They have made me ill with worry. I am a pensioner and they didn't sell my property within 10 months so I had to pay them £1,399. I had a small discount off the price because I work for the NHS. What a joke. They tell you its no sale no fee but I stupidly signed a contract not knowing that I had to pay this money. I feel like I have been robbed. They do not push to sell your property as you have to pay this fee anyway. Another estate agent sold my property. Do not go with these on line estate agents they are liars . They tried charging me for an ECP certificate which they didn't even arrange. I rate this company 0

We have had our property on the market for 10 months with only 1 viewing and the agent didn't get the date correct or turn up to show the viewers around! We did the viewing. He gave a very good sales flannel and has now disappeared. He doesn't answer my messages. We haven't received any feedback from the one viewing despite requesting this. We haven't received any feedback on online interest. We were advised to reduce the price after 3 months. The drone photos that were promised never materialised. We were strongly ressured the property would sell quickly, then when we asked why there had been no interest were given loads of excuses about 'market forces'. The same' market forces' that would sell it quickly. An absolute joke at our expense. They just want your money and then do nothing for it. The company should be under investigation by the Ombudsman. I would advise anyone to avoid this company and go with a local agent with a visible office. Angry seller in Cumbria.

Very disrespectful agent. Was smirking and staring in his phone, during the valuation of my house. Supposed to be local agent for Manchester, with 0 knowledge of the particular area. I think his name Brett Howarth. He only seemed to notice that there was no carpet on stairs and house needed a lick of paint, he completely disregarded big jobs that already been done on the house - new heating system, new windows and doors, refitted new high spec kitchen and bathroom. And then he had cheek to ask - would I buy house in this condition in this area for the money I was quoted by different companies with smirk on his face. Very very disrespectful person. That’s was me done with Yopa. Chose a local, who actually knows the area well and more than happy to go with them

I would not recommend Yopa to anyone. We was first visited by Phill Williams last year and was filled with all the hope and joy that we could sell our home. He but it on for once price to start with which was overpriced for the area but then are neighbour but her house on the market with another estate agent and we was contacted by Phill asking us to drop are price so we did as once again was told that it would push to sell. Few weeks on and we had our first viewing who went to both property but they went with ours. Phill informed us that we wouldn’t have anything to pay till the sale of the house had gone through which we was happy with. That was it no contact with Phill two months after we should have moved and our buyer was been a real pain and with only days then from signing the house over our buying pulled out. As it had fallen through we was told we had to pay so was happy to take our 1k. My husband had a call from someone called Richard to say it would show it’s back on the, then had an email from Phill to advise that we sent our house to auction. Still no call from Phill Williams even though my husband has tried to call him. We then decided to change estate agents and my husband phoned Yopa Saturday morning to say we wasn’t interested no more with them. He then had another email from Richard to say that they will remove it and within less than 5min it was gone. My feeling about the company is that they just want your money and not really bothered about selling your house. I will be putting in a formal complaint.

Yopa ? More like joka !!!!! A friend of mine (as I wasn’t getting enough viewings) made out she was interested in my property so a viewing was set up The Agent could not have been less negative telling her that I wouldn’t listen to the fact the house is over priced and needs modernising , kept looking at his phone heavy sighing ,yawning Like she was taking up his time How rude I then spoke with Yopa office and demanded to know why this viewer had left such negative feedback and they started to say negative things about my friend I said I’ll sell the house myself as I was paying an extra £500 for the agent to sell it of the £1499 payment after 10 months I have now noticed that they have taken my property off Rightmove and yet they still Expect me to pay in July ?????? I don’t think so Just want to clarify that 11 Sparth Rd M401QH is not on the market with Yopa , it should be , but it isn’t !!!!! What an I to do when it comes to payment ? Because I’m not going to pay Not a penny

Do not use or go anywhere near YOPA. I was miss-sold their product. Their local Warrington agent, Alex Beswick, did not explain their pay later plan. I asked if their contract was the same as traditional estate agents - no sale no fee, he replied “yes”. He sent me a contract by E-mail which I could not open. He instructed me to “just sign it”. After 6 weeks and 4 views I contacted him and cancelled the contract. Eight months later I received a bill for £1,399. I contacted the property Ombudsman and received a decision 12 months later, due to a huge backlog of cases. They replied I would have to pay as their contract, which I could not open, stated if property not sold within 8 months I would have to pay a fee of £1,399. So if looking to sell your property, stick to a traditional street estate agent with the no sale no fee agreement. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

I phoned yopa to value my house and put it on the market in a month time as I was going to travel. I received few phone persistent calls in which this agent wanted to get my keys and start the viewings while I was away… I told them I did not want that. On my return from my holyday. I received phone calls and messages from this agent in the area of Weston super mare called Annie, avoid this agent as she does not behave professional and address you in a familiar way . Hey lovely” hey honey etc… When finally made an Appointment to see her, she took a week to respond then she changed the appointment 4 times , and on the day that she was due to come. She told me she had troubles with her car.. I cancelled work loosing money in order to be in the house. I could not believe how unprofessional and unreliable this agent was. So I decided to cancel and not to use Yopa. Follow this … I received an abusive text from this agent. What a lucky escape

Based on our experience: AVOID!!!! Gross misconduct / mal-practice from one of their agents based out of their northern area! He mislead my daughter, who has come out of an abusive relationship, lives alone with a young child too, into believing she could sell her house without the very costly expenses of going to court and overriding her x-partners agreement. He used some ‘smoke and mirrors’ tactics to suggest he had been in touch with ‘authorities’ … the HMRC, to reassure her that indeed the house could be put on the market without full consent, had my daughter sign up to a 19 month deal, where, if even if the house did not sell, she would have to pay high costs. He suggested that when the sales was on the verge of being completed, he would personally go round and make her x sign on the dotted line! I have now complained 3 times and also through their ‘official’ complaints channel, but to no avail. Based on this overall experience, I believe Yopa to be just a cheap, money making organisation, who will do anything to make a buck! Zero ethics, poor communication, zero response to complaints, no proper vetting of their staff!!! Their representative in this case just a typical grabbing, commission based salesman! Next step, solicitor! 🤬

I was sick of them and I didn’t even get an agent to come and assess my house for sale. I answered the social media advert, and I got a phone call, I said I wasn’t going to be ready for some months and I gave them a date to call me back. They then proceeded to call me week after week until I finally just told them to get lost. Looking at the reviews on here, it was a lucky escape. When I give them a date to call me back, I expect a call on that date. I don’t expect to be spammed with calls in between time. I blocked their calls.

Absolutely disgraceful consumer trap, terrible service and leaves you paying £1999 for nothing except for some average photos. Shocking how a modern company takes advantage by verbally persuading clients to take the pay later option as opposed to no sale no fee. I was wholly taken advantage of and given false assurances just to ensure I signed the contract. As soon as I signed my agent dropped off a cliff with exception of 2 viewings, one of which he barged in unannounced whilst I was on a call and blocked in my neighbour. He then failed to give me back my spare keys despite persistent requests, a concerning security risk. And now I’m being chased by them and debt collectors to pay £1999. It’s a disgrace and a joke. Clearly hidden commissions for the agents - this company needs a full investigation. Trust pilot reviews also suspicious given the feedback here… Avoid avoid avoid.

Where do we start our first agent was a Liar did not tell us about pay when you sell and we made a complaint about him for other reasons as well. The second agent we seen once and that was the day of the booked viewing she did not know anything about the area. So could not answer any of the info ie local bus and doctors. We made our first complaint. But the to top it all went had a booking for 5/2/24. And they turned up but agent didn't so we had to show them round he did not phone them or us to say he was not coming. They was going to email him after the viewing we was on our way out so they could look round without us being here.. I text him to say viewing had taken place he said he would phone me on the Tuesday 6/2/24 and we are still waiting for that call. I have sent email after email and nobody has phoned left messages or emails back. What a waste of time. We get a message about a viewing the day before no problem about that but the last person said she had booked it before that.

I found Yopa very helpful all through the stages of buying ... The problem came on completion where we were going to be left sitting outside my new home for hours 4 to 5 to be exact while the agent was off selling more houses with our keys ... it seemed as soon as it completed we were the last thing on her mind .. she was miles away with a full list of viewings.. The keys are not available until she decided to drive over at end of her day ..had it not been for my daughter driving over to fetch them miles away we would have been on drive for hours.. I would not buy a house with an on line estate agent again ..or sell through them as it would be unfair for the buyers

Asked Yopa to value and sell the property. Visited took photos then the next step was to put on the market. But then the agent phoned just before doing so and said she was leaving Yopa and would get an alternative lady to call. So the alfernative lady called another day but not from Yopa but Purplebricks!? Who asked for Purplebricks. Wasted time. Not how I go about it. Then no followup call or returned call from that one even considering all of this. So used a local agent in a branch instead! Who are professional.

Yopa sold the house to 2 buyers, and I was the spare. Never told me the seller already exchanged with somebody else. Awaiting refund 3 weeks and still no money. Avoid because you never know how many other buyers is involved and you are wasting your time.

HIDDEN FEES AVOID!!! HOUSE SALE HELD AT RANSOM REGUSING TO SEND INFORMATION TO MY LEGAL TEAM. Sadly it started out great witha good agent saying all the right things showing me packages and deals. Then after being told I can use my own solicitor it's not a problem on the pay later model £1300 and change. Turns out you have 300 extra to OPT OUT of using a solicitor you made clear you would not use. I'm currently having my legal team go over this and where I stand I have been assured via the ombudsman uk services I'm legaly entitled to my money being returned due the misuse of the sales act. Very disappointed the agent knew all along I had my own legal team within my existing buisness I own. I intend to make this public so others do not fall into thos trap holding my sale infomation hostage and would not pass it to my solicitor unless I paid 300 to OPT OUT 🤔
