If there was a zero star option that is what I’d use . Terrible ....just like all the others on here waiting for a refund for cancelled trip . Numerous e mails and unreturned telephone calls , promise of payment and still nothing . AVOID

Just received a part refund after 6 months Golf break cancelled because of covid lockdown, it should have been a full refund it was booked as a package. I wish this company would offer a legal reason why they are refusing to refund people's money, and not just put the blame on Ryanair.if they are refusing to pay you then your legal fight is with them not your customers shocking customer service

had our trip for 8 cancelled for COVID19, YGT still have failed to repay as promised and uphold their legal obligation. We have used YGT many times before but never again. customer service as bad as you will see - keep away

Shocking Customer Service Having had a golf trip for 12 people cancelled back in September 20 due to Covid 19, we were promised a refund. We were later told that it would take a substantial 12 weeks to receive a full refund. Several emails and phone calls later we have still not been refunded, with no further timeframe given by YGT on when we will get this. It's been a myriad of lies, inaction and overpromising. This is an appalling way to treat customers, especially as we have been booking with them for many years. Its now been 5 months with no refund......and counting.

Booked a golf trip back in September which was cancelled by YGT for obvious reasons. We had no problem with that and requested our refund. Were told it would be paid back 3 months later which we werent happy with but due to the pandemic we understood and accepted YGT’s offer. We are now 6 months later and still no sign of the refund. Shocking customer service to repeatedly tell us that the refund is coming and then nothing materialises. Promises after promises. It does make me wonder about the financial stability of YGT and if we will ever get our money back They may be able to do all the nice bits booking your golf trip away but God help you if anything goes wrong and you require any sort of refund. In the future I will be staying well clear of YGT and advising anyone I know or come across to do the same I really dont know who these people are giving YGT a 5 Star rating - they must have had a great experience?????? I mean who gives 5 stars on Trust Pilot for a booking experience - exactly - nobody, because lets face it no golf is happening currently so there cant be any 5 star ratings for the experience Anyway, please read all the recent reviews with low star ratings as this is a TRUE reflection of the company and sums up the way that others - not just me have been treated From now on I will be using any other company rather than YGT to book golf trips

YGT Have delayed and delayed on a refund due to our group of 12 golfers from over 5 months ago. We have been promised a refund time and again and then it has never materialised. Bare faced lies and broken promises for month after month. They use lame excuses to try to withhold money owed from their customers and try to have them believe that refunds can’t be processed due to staffing issues and COVID interruption. It is my understanding that the right to a refund is written in UK law. It begs the question what the financial outlook is for this company if they cannot or will not refund their customers? Furthermore this isn’t the first instance of the awful service I’ve experienced either. A few years ago a group of 14 of us booked a trip of lifetime to Portugal and YGT took our money then failed to book any of the courses we’d paid for. Our group organiser then had a mad rush to sort out a load of 2nd rate courses in its place. YGT could not care less once they’ve taken your money. Avoid at all costs. Booking number 30165

YOUR GOLF TRAVEL ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE....... Received an email this morning saying the would not refund the money and that our voucher was being extended to December 2022. We have got blokes in our party struggling to put food on the table and they are holding our money... DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH YOUR GOLF TRAVEL...

Still waiting on refund never known anything so rubbish 6 months since the trip was cancelled and still we wait. Self proclaimed largest golf holiday company in the world behaving appallingly. What a joke! Its been over 14 weeks not over 14 days..

Don't expect a refund if your trip is cancelled.When the Ryder cup was postponed I requested a refund.After five months of chasing,empty promises,attempts to push me into another holiday vouchers etc etc the credit card company were involved and got me refund.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR BELIEVE ANY OF THEIR EMPTY PROMISES

Like most reviews.. still waiting for a refund from May 2020.. have emails to say refund will be done in ten weeks... have emailed and phoned customer service many times.. absolutely no response, disgusting 😡..

I regret to advise all of the people waiting for a refund from YGT, that I believe you've 'done your money'. Like many of you I had booked a few previous holidays with YGT so in November 19 I had no hesitation in using them again to book a golf holiday to Turkey for 8 people to travel in April 2020, at a cost of £8K. The holiday was booked as what I believed would be my last holiday as I had just been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. l paid for total cost of holiday on my Halifax credit card. YGT held out to last moment before advising the holiday could not go ahead due to Covid travel restrictions. At that stage it was already obvious to me and everyone else that it wouldn't be going ahead but in hindsight this was the warning of how YGT were going to conduct themselves going forward. After many emails about getting a refund I was told by Max at YGT that there would be NO refund as it was not their policy and I should read their T&C's and the only option available to me was a credit note. I'm grateful that I didn't have to explain this to anyone else and it was only me that was owed money as every newspaper and consumer rights programme on TV was telling everyone "don't worry its your legal right to get a refund". I hate to think what other people might have been thinking had they paid any money to me for the holiday? Obviously YGT do not read the papers or watch the TV as their policy is NO refund. I eventually resorted to explaining to YGT why my health issues may not make it possible for me to take up the offer of a credit note thinking this may prompt a rethink and thankfully it did. YGT sent me an email advising that I needed to complete a cash refund request that they would send me by email. I did this as soon as I got it on 12th May 20. Regrettably I never received any further correspondence from YGT between that date and now. I soon realised that the only other option available to me was to raise a section 75 dispute with my credit card provider. Once provided with all the correspondence between myself and YGC my credit card provider (Halifax, Lloyds) paid out my refund in full around early August after I provided a few more details about the transaction. Thankfully I'm still here to give this review and I have been able to put the refund to other uses. I don't envy any of you who have booked on behalf of a society or friends who have paid money to you for a holiday they never got. I believe that had I not raised a section 75 dispute against YGT for failing to provide the service or goods I had paid for I would still be waiting for a refund. Good luck to you all.

I booked a golf holiday for a party of 11 to Portugal but had to cancel on 20th August due to pandemic. They offered and I accepted a full refund (£8800). Over 4 months later I have review nothing despite chasing, phoning and emailing their customer service department on multiple occasions. They promise to phone back but never do. I’ve been promised updates but they have not been provided. Truly appalling customer service. I would never recommend this company to anyone and I am now contemplating legal action.

Our society booked a w/end at the Vale at the beginning of the year . As the course was flooded we accepted a credit note, intending to re-book. Almost immediately the pandemic struck with lockdowns and shielding, particularly for older players. The credit note will be time limited (though YGT have offered to extend this) but using it will be difficult in current circumstances. Several of our members are elderly and potentially vulnerable and at least one has moved away. We have therefore repeatedly asked to cancel the credit note and have our cash refunded. This they have so far refused to do despite being told that airlines, theatres, hotels and other reputable organisations are doing so. On many occasions they have promised to phone me to discuss matters but never do so. I keep chasing but to no avail. Perhaps they are going broke. I certainly advise avoiding them because if anything goes wrong you will be unlikely to see your money again

Beware ! I am still waiting (it seems I am not alone) for my refund from Your Golf Travel for a cancelled package trip, booking ref 304471, for me and my wife to Turkey in April and for which I paid in full on 24th January. Despite being assured by YGT in mid May that a full refund would be processed within 12 weeks this has still not happened. I had a telephone call in August telling me our refund was being processed for payment. Since then we have chased payment numerous times by both email and telephone. Our emails to YGT remain unanswered and promised telephone updates from YGT staff have not happened. Since August we have been in communication with five YGT staff members, some with senior titles suggesting they had the authority to make things happen but still no progress. My letter, sent recorded delivery to a registered YGT director, explaining the situation and requesting refund has failed to produce a result or a response. YGT appear to be totally dismissive of their obligations. Whilst I have been sympathetic to their circumstances their broken promises and poor communication leaves me feeling that I am being exploited and that I am funding their business. So please beware. I will post any further delays or progress.

Can you please explain why you are still taking bookings from golfers when you have not refunded monies to other groups who have paid you thousands of pounds and have not been able to take there golf holidays

Similar to the reviews below my party are owed £30K for a group booking to Turkey in early May. I had to make a formal complaint to ABTA to get a commitment from them that they would provide us with a cash refund. We have now been waiting 17 weeks and YGT refuse to answer any e mails or telephone calls. A special mention to one of the Director’s, Ian Purvis, who has been going out of his way to avoid responding to our correspondence. I strongly advise all to find another travel agent for future travel requirements as this one has no moral compass
