I purchased 24 of these BEAUTIFULL RIBBONS having them sent in 2 batches of 12 to my brothers home in ARIZONA while I vacationed there
4/13-4/27 as I had wanted to place them on the GRANITE MOUNTAIN HOTSHOTS markers where they R buried in PRESCOTT AZ.
Due to availability I could only get the first 12 so I placed them onto the 1st 3 rememberance markers when my brother & I hiked up on the hotshot MEMORIAL trail that opened 11-30-16.
Eric Marsh , Jessie Steed & Clayton Whitted & when I return to FINISH MY JOURNEY on this INCREDIBLE walk . . . I will carry with me the remaining pins & more to HONOR THESE INCREDIBLE HEROS . . .
I had the HONOR of meeting Eric Marsh's Mom & Dad & a WONDERFUL WILDLAND FIREFIGHTER named " JAVEN" who I unexpectedly met while visiting the cemetery & HE HELPED ME tie 20 purple ribbons around a single red rose that WE LAID on each hotshots marker FACING towards GRANITE MOUNTAIN. The 20th rose & ribbon I asked him to give to his friend & "BROTHER" Brendan McDonough as well as one of the purple pins. MY New found friend Javen has been a WILDLAND FIREFIGHTER for 7 yrs & his father has been a firefighter for 23 yrs :-)
He knew several of the GRANITE MOUNTAIN HOTSHOTS who he talked about with love, respect & BROTHERHOOD♡♡♡
I gave him a pin too & I wear one on my nurses badge for work & I wear one WITH LOVE, RESPECT & HONOR in rememberance on my hat.
JAVEN LOVES SUPPY CACHE 2!!!!!
