Greetings from Ireland! I was very, very lucky to decide to take a chance and buy the rescued pan from Stur. They were very honest that the pan may have some imperfections. STUR website shows the types of minor flaws which can occur during the casting process. Mine has a little bubble mark on the cooking surface corner and another on the underside. This is causing my patina to develop a little ring design which I really like. These are not imperfections, they are character arms uniqueness. STUR claim that the minor flaws do not affect use, and they are right. The pan is excellent, and more than rivals a number of expensive pans I have imported from the USA by some artisan names. For the price and European product, my own is by far the best I've used. Smooth interior and base is amazing and a real joy to cook with I keep my seasoning up with every single use with a thin coat of flax seed oil. I am so happy to have taken a chance with this Rescued and discounted pan. I cannot see how a normal STUR pan could be any better functionality. It is not flawed, it is unique in the world and it is all mine!
