GMB is amazing at meeting people where they’re at and figuring out how to help them get to where they want to be.
GMB is far and away the best program I’ve seen at offering variations in exercises to match a person’s current skill/strength/injuries and helping them to build from there. And having auto-regulation baked into the programs means learning to adjust day to day for injuries/recovery level etc is easy and becomes a natural part of your training.
Probably the most remarkable thing that GMB does, however, is teach you how to perform exercises correctly. So many programs are predicated on a level of knowledge that most people don’t have, but the care with which GMB explains things means that someone who’s never done an exercise can safely attempt it without concerns about hurting themselves.
And if you think you have done it all before? There are exercises in these programs that I’ve done lots of times before, that I’ve had demonstrated by a number of different trainers over the years, and I finally learned how to them PROPERLY because of the way Ryan or Jarlo explained them. It’s quite lovely to have that little light-bulb moment and go, "Oh, THIS is how that’s meant to feel" and suddenly start to make progress.
