Be carefull with there ridiculous fees they add on. £50admin fee all because my previous insurance made a,mistake in information! Would mot use again as fair enough a fee bit not £50 just to change a bit off information over. Won't be returning to them !

non-existing customer service I canceled my policy online, then got msg about renewing so I called to ensure its canceled, so it was. Then they took £2000 of insurance of my credit card and when I called I was told its my fault because I did not cancel the auto-renewal when I was canceling the policy. When I questioned the logic of this I was told the cancellation quote is£180 so they are happy to refund the rest. Absolutely horrible, no common sense, no possibility to escalate and formally complain.

Sadly, 1st central failed to do the job they were committed to do. I paid enough money through the year and they simple closed my claim, no communication, nothing. My car was hit, I had 2 witnesses, they both seen the person, the car that damaged mine. 1st cental failed to support my claim stating there's nothing they could do. Then without notice closed my case. Said they tried contacting me, which was simple untrue. Please do not use them, pay little more money and get somone better.

I have just canceled my policy after it was renewed yesterday. There is a non-refundable arrangement fee of £50 I had to pay. Arrangement fee. Hmm. Careful with 1st central. I will try not to get a new policy from them in the future

Charlatans- the cancelled my insurance after 63 days even though I had sent them everything they asked for. I am now scrabbling to find another insurance but because they cancelled, for the next 7 years I will be on a list - so far only other quotes for another insurance start at £1200! Disgusting behaviour and VERY unprofessional- wish I had gone for a more recognised company - steer well away from them!

not writing anything out of anger but this organisation is BOGUS - their after sales service is pathetic - they don't know how to manage or maintain the positive impact on customer - I have bought their insurance 1st in sep (they have cancelled it without any reason and then they have forcefully deducted 78£ from my account as a cancellation charge). Then I have trusted them again in Oct and bought their insurance 2nd time and guess what their payment department was facing some issues and they failed to collect a payment from my account and cancelled my insurance without even calling me and the best part they were continuously sending me threatening txt to pay 120£ cancellation fees. I have called many times - emailed but no one responded - I have paid almost 200£ which was not even my fault. pathetic service - pathetic company - pathetic experience.

The worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life. I have been without a car for 4 days as the claims team failed to inform me the garage they use don't work weekends leaving me getting to work with no support. If you call claims, never ever speak to Mvelo she is the most rude, sarcastic, unhelpful agent I have come across. Promised a courtesy car, never received that. Promised a call back by management, never received that. Absolute abysmal customer service. NEVER TAKE OUT INSURANCE WITH THEM!

I insured my car with this company for £143 a month. Then, just after after the start of the policy for a few days I was surprised to be advised that they decided to hike my insurance fees to £195 month as their “Analysis Team”decided to increase the premium. This is despite the fact that they were provided with all the required information before concluding the policy including 3-year No Claim Bonus. Then, I sold my car a few days where I had to pay £190.63 as cancellation fees on line. Their website says, however, that cancellation fees is £50. Further, they refused to refund me the amount of money I already paid for the 17 unused insurance days of £110.50 out of £195 I have paid on 23/10/2023 for 1 months. I was with numerous car insurance companies in this country before, but this the first time I have such a bad experience. I definitely do Not recommend it.

My son had insurance with 1st central connect, they have sent messages saying immediate action needs to be taken , we called them three times in September as threatened to cancel policy, they did cancel it as I as a named driver didn’t activate something correct on the app, I'm a named driver I have my own car! Not the policy holder, I’ve never had to have a app to drive a car. Now its started again, messages now are his telekinetic box is showing loose! It is stuck on the windscreen fixed firmly. How can you determine this when your not in the car? When you click on the email/message it then takes you to a blank page when you download this numbers and letters? Then saying your policy is going to be cancelled? Why? His driving is spot on. He then gets an email informing him that they have had a glitch !,all the data from certain dates would not count ,we thought everything is alright now. Nope it all started again loose box what is that supposed to mean? They are receiving data about his driving how can the box not be working correctly? Now they have cancelled his insurance policy.! He is 19 already struggling to get car insurance as every young person is, now he cannot get insured because he has to declare a cancelled policy! Because they claim his boxes is loose! how can they possibly come up with this information? Totally perplexed. If he’d been involved in an accident he would have to declare this for the next 3 to 5 years which would affect his insurance he would have to pay a higher premium ,but to have had car insurance policy cancelled not for his driving or none payments, but because of a loose box that is not lose is ludicrous. Unbelievable and extremely cruel. He has to declare for the rest of his life. How can this even be legal. We have made repeated phone calls to this company, and now we have to wait for the eight weeks to be up to than raise a complaint with the FCA they must have numerous complaints about this company ,we can only hope that FCA can do something to get this black mark removed from him . When this company send so many messages contradicting themselves , links that don’t work what is anyone supposed to do ? Avoid this company at all costs. No one from the management Will speak to you. I’ve requested the data from his box! Not happened ! Some of the dates they are say it’s loose the car wasn’t even being driven, unbelievable. I have never in all my life come across something so unbelievably wrong. I have raised this with whatchdog and will be contacting trading standards.

They are the worst, The worst customer service I have received so far in UK. They didn't help with solving claim that wasn't my fault even though I have asked for help multiple times and agree to go court. Client service service is really bad, the man over the phone was rude and didn't help me at all. In the end, becouse my bank has revoked my debit card and send me new one, my monthly payment didn't come thru, when I noticed that (3rd day after payment day) I called them and they told me that my policy is cancelled. When I asked them to just continue my policy and take new payment details thety told me that they can't and here is how much fees they added (even though I still wanted to stay with them): Arrangement fee £50.00 Default fees (for any late payments) £15.00 Cancellation fee £50.00 115 pounds for 3 day of missed payment it was almost 2 months of insurance fee, insane!

They cancelled my son’s insurance due to an oversight on my behalf . I as a named driver forgot to download the black box app as had never driven the car . I feel sick for him as a young lad trying to get insurance with a cancellation of insurance to declare is difficult and expensive . I may be at fault, but such a small oversight has turned the original quote from 1st central was£2500 now looking at £4500 -£12000 elsewhere.

I won’t go through at length the issues, but do not go with this lot. Tried to charge over £100 because my purchase year (which was actually a name change from a family member to mine) was the wrong year, despite me offering to send the original V5C as proof. They weren’t interest and wanted their 120 pounds instead. Cancelled my policy then and there.

I recently renewed my car insurance. I contacted the company's (1st central) renewal team and they filled out forms for me. I informed them about things that I could think of that had changed since last year and it was all done. On the 15th day (first 14 days allow for free cancellation) after renewal, they contacted me for more information. They said they had conflicting information about both mine and my wife's "occupation". It felt like a police investigation but basically they said they have on record me as Research Scientist and my wife as Operations Manager (this was from last year as I was only renewing and they didn't ask me again about it during renewal). However, via our recent search for quotes on comparison websites they knew that I called myself computer engineer and my wife Operations Director(she was promoted last year but in the same company and and I dont think one can say her "occupation" changed). I tried arguing that I work in computer science research for which they don't have an option anyway so I use researcher/research scientist or computer engineer or computer programmer based on whatever first comes to mind and all are true. Also technically as an "occupation", an Operations Director is also an Operations Manager as they both manage teams to improve operations. Anyway I never filled out any forms recently saying otherwise nor they asked. They were still adamant that I lied to them about it and they need to update this information. For that they would need another payment worth 30% of original yearly charge or the other option is to cancel insurance with about 25% deduction including costs and fee. This is also when for a new quote the difference in price with "correct occupations" is less than 5%. I would call it a scam.

Had my policy cancelled with no notice either by phone, email or letter. I’d failed to login into the portal after a text instruction asking me to do so requesting for “information” (sounds harmless enough right?) I was so busy with work and caring for my terminally ill father at the time I figured that if it was important they’d get in touch with me directly. They did after all, have my details. However I received an email on the 13th October informing me that my insurance had been cancelled on 20th September due to failure to comply with their terms and conditions for not notifying them of SP30 (speeding) points and was ordered to pay a cancellation fee £176.61. I was shocked. No duty of candour protocols followed?! You’d expect such a serious action would come following expressed written warning or at least a heads up of the severity of the situation!? Nothing. No email, No text, No phone call, No letter….NOTHING!!….other than the email received on the 13th October chasing me for the payment (which I made) of the fine. 21 DAYS AFTER THE POLICY HAD BEEN CANCELLED BY THEM!!!!???? My father had died 2 days after my policy was cancelled on the 22nd September and unbeknownst to me I was driving an uninsured vehicle for all those days!! (21 days) I explained this to them on the phone and they didn’t care. I was treated like I was some kind of criminal! They think because they’ve set up a “convenient online portal” for you to login, check and see your status and messages that some how this exempts them from basic protocols of human decency, behaviour, duty of care, customer service or professional candour. They did use my details in contacting me in chasing payment of the fine. Email and phone call on 13th October but didn’t think to extend me the courtesy to use those details to warn me in advance of the heinous actions that they took putting me and my family in danger of driving a uninsured vehicle. I’ve been driving and insuring cars for 28 years. In all that time I have only claimed on an insurance policy once. Never before have I been treated so shoddily, especially at such a sad and difficult time for me personally. Additional irony here is my dad was a retired high ranking police officer. I’m very angry with this company and have insured vehicles with them before. I have 4 cars and a commercial vehicle. They won’t get a penny from me ever again! I hope someone from 1st central insurance reads this and ask some serious questions about how such an injustice could possibly occur? Because in my mind it rails against all commonly regarded rules of fair play. These people have the moral code of school yard thugs and I (just like my dad did) hate bullies!

The prices. Last year, insurance cover was £260, renewal came for £463 this year... That's quite a shocking increase. I tried to cancel, I got told l will have to pay £50 though set up fees. I am still within 14 days of renewal so that's a shocking part of the contract. Luckily the complaints department managed to waiver that, thank you.... Then I got put through to sales to give me a new quote. Now here's the ridiculous bit....I was transferred from complaints....they knew I had a renewal of £463 that I refused....so the new quote (which is for the same thing as the renewal was) was......A BIG FAT SILLY £700.... Give me your brain! Absolute joke, will never use this company again, ever! Thanks for the extremely awful service

Left out to hang. AVOID!!!!!! I set up a policy on the 31 August 2023 to start on the 02 September 2023, paid the deposit and moved on. With in the next few days I receive the "welcome" email and emails to leave a review. At that point I just move on like you do. This is the 2nd car I had on the policy at the time, and I then sold one of them and had to cancel the insurance for the 2nd car, witch I did and I agreed to pay the cancel price on the 13/09/10. Which I done over the phone. Nothing was said to me about the matter on what I'm about to discuss. Some time passes and I get text messages about a cancellation fee due, so I ring up explaining I've already cancelled and paid for the car I wanted to remove. The reply I got was yes that's a mistake on our end. Some days pass and I keep getting messages about a cancellation fee, so I let a few go without responding thinking it hasn't been fixed yet, it gets to the point where I end leaving a email (no reply) and me ringing again to find out if there going to fix it soon, After some conversation I then find out (this is on the 04 October 2023) that my car I set up a policy for has been cancelled. They sent me ONE email warning me about this that I had missed on the 05 September saying I had 2 weeks to change my bank details ( the problem was when I set it up I accidentally put a 6 instead of a 9 on the phone keypad on my sort code when I set it up) all there systems let me go ahead with it in the first place anyway and even gave me all the welcome emails ect. They managed to send me more emails asking for a good review than warning me about this matter. Had I received more than 1 stupid email warning me I would obviously rectify the matter!! (Bare in mind they have my correct details already for my previous car wich at one point where both active) They made 0 attempts to call me, 0 text messages, when I asked y they didn't they said they don't send messages, but they managed to send me 5 messages asking for money ok?? Had more than 1 email been sent to me I would have noticed, but all I got was the 1 email on the 5th wich was a extremely busy day for me and It got lost within all my other emails I got. So I'm now left with a cancellation of insurance because they couldn't take payment even tho they wasn't even due money for the 1st payment until the 09/10/23!!! Jokers! And then told nothing can be done. I now can't get any affordable insurance for my car as they have all doubled in price, 1st central won't even give me a quote! Along with most of the other reputable company's. I'm now forced to either fork out £1000s for insurance because I have a cancellation on my name, even tho I've never made a claim, or missed a payment in my 7-8 years of driving. All this mess over 1 simple mistake that had the most poor communication attempt for something so serious I've ever seen. I would STRONGLY RECOMEND no one uses this company as there willing to help or fix anything is non existences. I spook with a manager and even tho money wasn't due for another 5 days they have left me out to hang even when I offered to rectify my bank details on the spot. My credit score is now effected by this lack luster company and there poor communication skills!
