“I took so much time picking out 4 bar stools on your website & then you cancelled my order as they are discontinued but still have not updated that on your website, this isn’t fair to customers taking out their time to carefully select items.”

“Bait & switch? Ordered items purported in-stock; and only ordered from 2Modern as opposed to other vendors offering the same item at the same price b/c it appeared you offered the quickest shipping. Ha - was I wrong! Since order confirmation I’ve received at least 10 emails from 2Modern and your shipper regarding delivery delays, unexpected changes to dates and complex instructions. At this time, 10 days after placing our order, we still have no delivery date - other than a vague email from a shipping company we’ve never heard of saying that we’ll receive an update in approximately 5 (more) business days… this is the 3rd such email.”
“A ridiculous and bad experience. Waited over 4 months for a light, after numerous delays it arrived damaged, now are in very slow process to (I hope) return the item and be reimbursed—‘hope’ for as of yet we are still slogging through what should be a very simple return process. The customer service people have always been polite. But I will never buy a light again from 2modern.”

Hello, common sense dictates that if an item isn't available, you note that on your website. I wasted a week and have ordered the item elsewhere.”

“Three months after I placed my order for a table, it finally arrived -- sort of. The table top and base were delivered but without any legs to connect them. I immediately called customer service and sent photos of the parts that did arrive. I was told that the legs would be delivered in a short time and to call back in a few days to confirm the delivery date. Two days later, I called back. Still no firm delivery date. A few days later, i called again with the same result. Almost two weeks after the initial contact with the company, they finally gave me a tracking number for the legs. At first, the tracking number didn't exist in the shipper's system. A week later, tracking said the package had been returned to the warehouse. Now it was less than a week before Christmas. I had a table top in the middle of the floor of my dining room and no way to serve the family that would be arriving in a few days. Plus 2Modern had had my money (well over $3000) for three and a half months. Until this time, I had been consitently kind and patient with 2Modern. I turned stern (though NOT rude) when the service rep continued to give me the run-around and to interrupt me whenever I tried to ask for the company to pick up the parts and to be given a refund. At least six times I asked him to just listen. He continued to interrupt me and threatened to hang up because I was raising my voice. Raising my voice was the only way to be heard over his interruptions. He insisted that I needed to pack up the table top and base in order to get a refund even though the item weighed too much for me to lift and I no longer had the box they came in. Suddenly after at least thirty minutes of this frustrating conversation, he said, "I'm giving you a refund and I'll arrange to have the table picked up." I have no idea what finally changed his mind. He could have just as easily continued to interrupt me or hung up. While I'm glad my money was refunded, I have no desire to deal with this mercurial, inept, and seeminly deceitful company again.”
“I placed my order on 12/1. It was supposed to ship by 12/6. On 12/12 I contacted 2Modern. Next thing I receive is a shipping confirmation (label was created 12/12). No explanation/no apology for what appears to have been a lost or mislaid order. Very disappointing.”
“Still waiting for the ornament to arrive and looks beautiful in the pictures, but after ordering received an email saying it was scheduled to ship 12/31 2026 - what 2 years to wait to get the order - I called and they confirmed that they sold out - So I cancelled the order and we went somewhere else. Next day they call and say they shipped the order and they want to reprocess the credit card - what you found one and shipped even though i cancelled - not cool.”
“I ordered a very heavy unit, and it clearly says: Ships via 2Modern Inside Delivery & Package Removal. The details of what this should include is below. For my experience, I received no shipping notification, or calls/emails to arrange delivery. After a couple of failed attemps when they finally did deliver it they just left it in my entryway. They did not move it to my specified room, or remove the packaging. They didn't even take the large wood plank the item was transported on. Not Happy with my 2 modern experience. The customer service refunded the shipping after the first couple of errors to even get delivery arranged, but after my experience with the delivery i really wish I had used a better company.
Below is a desceription from the actual page of the item on their website - I recieved none of this:
Scheduling: Customer will be notified of delivery date options via phone call and email and, once date is confirmed, will be provided with a 4-hour appointment window. The shipping company's contact info will be included in the email, in order to reschedule the appointment if necessary. What's Included: Inside delivery to specified room, package removal, and customer signature required. This level of service does not include assembly or moving of existing items.”
“I’ve had a very challenging shopping experience. Firstly, the item said it was in stock which it was not. Secondly after I bought it two days later, your company sent me an email telling me the item that I bought was 20% off. After looking at other sites, I saw many other companies with a discounted price. I was able to get the discount refunded. That was not the biggest challenge. The biggest challenge was understanding that the in stock item had moved out and nobody could tell me when it was going to be shipped. You can only quote shipping from Your company to the warehouse, which is not helpful.”
