I did not know the card was rated so badly. AARP should be ashamed of being connected to this card. It is impossible to get my Reward I can't log in. Is this on purpose?

0/5 stars. I was never given a confirmation email of my payment processing, so I accidently submitted it twice. When I called to correct the problem, I was told it would take 5-10 business days. Upon checking my bank, to see if the funds had been returned (the double payment made me negative in my account) I saw there was an additional $20 taken out for a Service fee ( for the 8 months I've had the card, there has never been a service fee), when I inquired about that, I was told they don't have record of it. Now there is apparently nothing I can do.

Applying for the Barclaycard Rewards card was a nightmare. It expected IT expertise beyond the average person's ability and failed to prepare you for the information it would require. Eventually I got the card. However, I have been unable to use it in the USA. I spent 15 minutes telephoning at my cost and was assured by an agent, whose accented English was difficult to understand, that the "suspicious transaction" ($100 at a supermarket) was what caused the problem and the card would be useable again. Today it was declined at a Starbucks. I don't want to spend money and time on another international call and I have been unable to make contact in other ways except to a "Bot" which is a waste of time as it ends up saying please call us.

Do not under any circumstance apply for a Barclays credit card. They will give you a credit limit, and then out of the blue decrease it by half, which negatively impacts your credit score. They did this to me on two different occasions. No other credit card company decreases your credit limit based off your balance on unrelated cards. Beware. They will ruin your credit.

WORST customer service I've experienced in my life. Barclays cashed my payment, then proceeded to send me late notices, add late fees AND drop my credit score. 3.5 HOURS!!! on the phone over 2 days. "disconnected" 5-6x, told supervisor would call me (didn't of course). FINALLY got transferred to "resolution" dept who only opened a case, told me it could take 2 billing cycles to look into. Then if they found payment I would need to open a case to reverse my credit score. Unbelievable!!!! Never, ever again.

Spoke to 7 different customer service reps that all transferred me somewhere else while trying to make a payment. The last one disconnected me. I received 8-10 spam calls after I spoke to them. The representatives were clearly from India. I am very concerned about my info now. Terrible customer service. Scared and worried!!

Absolute WORST customer service I have EVER experienced! I never write reviews, but am trying to now prevent people from using Barclays Credit Cards due to my horrible experiences I have had with their customer service reps! Every time I call, I receive the WRONG information of how to handle my claims. I have STILL been waiting for 2 years to receive the refund from a fraud claim I filed! I have called various times about other issues and the reps are HORRIBLE and have no idea how to help! They even once sent me a new card that didn't work once activated. It's been problem after problem! Save yourself the headaches and time by going with a much better company!

Every time I make a payment two days later they state that I did not make a payment and charge me late fee. It seem on purpose they do not put in the payment.

I have been with jet blue for over 15 years. Have been mosaic for the last 8 years. I have a jetblue credit card which barclays US is the administrator. I have excellent credit and pay in full each month. I spend an average of $60 thousand dollars a year. They recently suspended my card until i send them a copy of my social security card and government id. In the mail, they said I hey sent me letter in the mail that i didn’t receive. Yet they want me to send personal info in the mail. They stranded my daughter on vacation. So frustrating, have spoken to many people. “Their police is their police’. I asked for more time since i had to get new ss card. Un flexible, i am going to have to cancel card, its terrible that jetblue will suffer, since i will get another airline card and fly them because i fly 20 times a year. Hope this policy has an impact of barclays business. Jet blue you should go back to american express.

Over the past 4 months I have tried to get someone who knows what they are talking about to figure out why my balance transfer promotional checks were not being paid down from the oldest to the newest. I was told they spread them out which is ludicrous. So the $7,500 dollar check I used in Jan. 22 is now only lowered by $400.00 instead of the $6,000 it should have been lowered by my monthly payments. Really is intended to rip you off! Do not use this card or the promotional checks!!!

I refinanced my home to pay off my credit cards. I have 2 accounts. The attorney handling the pay outs gave me checks made out for the amounts owed. I mailed them to the address that was on the statement on December 22nd. I started calling them on December 26th to see if they received them. I got a no. I called 4 other times between December 26th till January 11th. I also checked there web site every day. My attorney called me to follow up. I explained the situation and he said it's been to long and we need to stop payment. He said they would issue new checks to me which they did. He asked that I double check the web site to be sure the address is correct. This is on the 11th. I Check the Web site later in the day to verify the address and it shows that they received the payment on December 27th and the checks cleared on January 10th. That never showed the entire time i was checking there site. I call My attorney and it was to late. The stop payment went through. I called Barclay's and they said there was no problem, the account is paid. I tried explaining to them my issue and they went round and round for a hour. 3 days later I get a notice that I'm being charged a return check fee, a late fee plus interest on both accounts. I called them and tried to explain again the issue and they refuse to reverse any charges. There service center is in India. It is so difficult to understand them and I believe they don't understand English very well. When these checks clear I will try again. If no refund is issued im putting a formal complaint in with the banking commission and the state of CT. This company is horrible. The fees are unbelievable. Dont use them.

I have had a Barclay's AAAdvantage American Airlines card for several years They sent me a pre-approval solicitation for an AAdvantage business card offering a 75000 bonus I applied I have an 820+ FICO score with 0 debt, a high income and assets exceeding 1 million in my business I heard nothing for almost a month Called several times only to talk to rude and nasty people who gave me no information After 28 days was declined Wrote to their corporate office executives and didnt even get a response They are the worst credit card company in existence in my opinion Stay away There is a reason for all these negative reviews Will be cancelling my personal card with them

Not worth a star , Had my card 30 + years , always made payments over minimum and paid off card in full on numerous occasions. Received an email saying i need to contact them regards payoff plan over 4 years as My card is being stopped 3 years early . On a debt of 14,000 i have been told i have to pay 525 / month for 4 years . So i am being charged another 10,000 in interest. !!!! I was told it was because i havent reduced my debt much over last 3 years !! ( didnt the World basically close down for most of that ) Plus i am now 66 and obviously a risk as to dieing before i pay it off 0000000 stars for Barclaycard

In the last year I have tried three times to contact Barclaycard about several issues. Chat function not available on web or App. No message/email service. On phone, takes an hour to get through the turgid automated service and then on to someone who cannot help and puts you right back to the general menu. Worst contact service ever. Today, lost hours of my life and have resolved nothing, not even reached someone who thinks they are the right person to talk to.

Customer Services issues. I signed up for the Upromise bonus and when I tried to use the bonus, it says account isn't linked to an eligible college account. Now the Upromise account has the accounts linked but Barclays can't? I wrote Customer Service, I chatted with customer service, I called them. The email- no response. A week later when chatting I got nowhere and only "robo responses" when I called- they said their system was down and to call back. How sad for Barclays and the Upromise business and the companies that it is trying to do business for.

Barclay sucks. i have held on to them because Jetblue uses them as their credit card for points. they detected fraud on my card, called me but then can't manage to mail out a new card in a timely fashion. other cards will overnight one to you but barclay charges, which is fine. just charge me but don't say you will overnight the card and not do it. WTF. they SUCK.

Always dropping credit limit regardless of balance and not to mention that interest changes monthly to no matter how much you pay 85 % is always the interest charge so that you only pay 15% to the principal nothing but a rip off company

Report this company! Orginally with Old Navy Visa and they changed over to Barclays Mastercard. This is the worst card I've ever had. My card was charged in error and refunded back by the merchant and Barclays insist I pay back an amount that was already refunded. Poor customer service and by reading these reviews they seem like a scam credit card.

I wish I would’ve seen these reviews before signing up. Tried to dispute a transaction through the app, did not work kept giving errors. Tried to call and got bounced around to 3 different people who cannot seem to communicate properly. Worst experience ever stay away from this company if at all possible. There are better options out there. I shouldn’t have to end up with rising blood pressure for a simple process which runs smoothly with every other credit card company I deal with. Zero stars should be an option. BEWARE!!! Stay away!!!! Do not do business with Barclays!!!
