“Purchased basketball tickets as a Christmas gift. Ticketmaster site showed my tickets were claimed by another email. They didn't have amy orders with my email address. Called stub hub 4 days in a row only to be constantly told they are escalating it to have my tickets resent or replacement tickets. Here it is the day of the event which is a 3 hour drive for my daughter and they had a whole day planned and nothing but the same escalation excuse. I suppose I'll have to buy new tickets from another platform, and wait while they dilly dally around giving a refund. I will never use them again.”
“They sold me standing room only tickets and it wasnt clear to me in the notes that they weren’t for seats. We were stuck between all these Bayern Munich fans who were shoving and pushing because nobody really had a spot to stand!! Never again.”
“A simple transaction turned into a call to StubHub in which the customer service representative was clueless. Could not access my tickets that were transferred or where they were located. No instructions were emailed and the representative could not contact them, another department had to do that. After finally using all that I knew to do, I called the college ticket office and found them there. The most frustrating transaction possible when my 8 year old grandson could run their business. You buy, StubHub verifies the transaction, and send tickets directly to the customer. Will never use again this stupid platform to buy tickets.”
“I flew to Kansas City for the AFC Championship Game, only to have my tickets revoked 24 hours before the event. They told me the "seller no longer had the tickets available" which means they sold them on a different site, never releasing them to StubHub. StubHub will continue to do business with the seller with no action taken against them at all. I got a refund, but no consideration for plane tickets, lodging, time, lack of consideration, etc. A sale is a sale. If I were notified that StubHub did not have the tickets in hand, I would have cancelled the sale and bought other tickets immediately. It took 24 hours and 8 phone calls to process a refund or get seat replacement options. Get a better customer service model StubHub! You can't be allowed to treat people this way.”
“Purchased tickets to a rodeo performance and was sent the wrong time. Called customer service and they said I had to wait till right before the event start to see if I get tickets. Would recommend not doing business through them”
“Stubhub is the worst ticket reseller on planet earth. Their customer service department will blatantly lie to you just to get you off the phone. Then turn around and do the exact opposite of what they said they would do. They are absolutely worthless. I will NEVER EVER used Stubhub AGAIN.”
“Stubhub is terrible! They are not transparent and don't feel the need to be because of their size. I discovered after purchasing a parking ticket that they were not an authorized seller. I never accessed the tickets and they refunded to refund the money a month before then provided a document I had never seen to my cc company stating all sales are final. Never again will I buy a tickey of any kind from them.”
“purchased tickets for a concert, couple weeks later I have over $1000 of charges on my card. (they did refund it)Then when I went to retrieve the tickets it said someone else with a different email has already retrieved the tickets. Upon calling 5 days before concert and everyday leading up to the concert, I was told we would get comparable seats, the "comparable seats" said obstructed view. I did not except tickets told them I wanted a refund and they refused. I will never use this site again and will make sure anyone and everyone I know boycotts also.”
“Three reasons I will never use this site again:
1- extremely difficult to navigate
2- they charge a MUCH higher fee than competitors. I needed more tickets for the same game and the other site I went to had fees that were 50% what stubhub's were
3- I bought a parking pass and realized 2 minutes later I didn't need it but stubhub would not allow me to cancel the transaction. Once they have your money they hold onto it with a vice grip.
We live in an information age. Treating your customers like this is not good business policy so I am doing my part to warn others. Good luck stubhub. Doubt you'll be in business in 5 years gouging and treating your customers like this.”
“Accidently bought general admission tickets trying to get close to the stage. They won't let me change seats even for a higher priced seat. Absolutely no help from customer service
BYER BEWARE WITH STUB HUB”
“The worst experience ever. I bought tickets for Mamma Mia on November, to go on January 2025. My order said it was confirmed and tickets would arrive the day of the event. Tickets never said transferred and of course never arrived, I lost my time chatting with IA trying to get my tickets transferred, I tried to call and nothing, when finally I was able to speak with a human being on the phone; the answer was that AOX didn’t transfer my tickets, it was almost 12 and the show was at 1 pm, I was dressed and driving to downtown. Customer service sent me a link so I could pick another tickets, but it didn’t work and apparently I got a refund, the guy just say I’m sooty, I can’t do anything else! They were with my money for 3 months! I dreamed to see this musical an I was so excited, I never thought this could happens. I hope I get my money back and now I learn to NEVER again buy a ticket with StubHub. They say you have guarantee, but at the end of the day I missed my event, and they had my money for 3 months and didn’t offer any free tickets or discount. I am so sad and frustrated. Very irresponsible company, not serious and they play with your time and your money!”
“My Jan Arden concert was canceled on the 20th of December. Here we are 37 days later and no closer to getting my money back. Same rehearsed answer. Then tell me I get my money back last week. But now no. Trust a scalper in front of a veniew than this company.”
“Dealing with this now. Bought tickets for an event last night. Seller never released the tickets but nowhere on Stubhub’s site do they tell you how long sellers have to release them (sounds like from a call I had it’s 7 hours before the event) but was told I’d get an email from StubHub with the option to purchase more tickets for the same price or request a refund...in 3 hours, the day of the event. I was suspicious from the get go so I went ahead and was fortunate there were still tickets left to buy and I bought 2 more, of course for more money and StubHub said they have no way to offer me a discount or anything, I just needed to pay the higher price (for their seller not coming through). They never sent an email. The rep called me back to say they gave the sellers and extra hour to respond (meanwhile, this is after 3 pm, event is at 7). Surprise surprise no email still from them and it’s the next day, the event is over. My card was charged for the original purchase where I never received tickets. I’m now on hold going on over 60 minutes trying to get them to refund my money for tickets that were never released to me for an event that is over. The rep actually told me it was my responsibility to call them 1 hour before the event?!?!?! We were traveling/entering the event on the second set of tickets I purchased one hour before. How is it MY responsibility to do anything? I verbalized on the phone the day of the event that I purchased other tickets and will want a refund for these but I guess that didn’t count. Really truly terrible service placing responsibility on the buyer after taking my money for seller not coming through, not offering replacement tickets as promised or a refund and NO email as they told me I’d receive. The one rep yesterday was nice but their system and policies are truly baffling to me. I’d be very wary if your event is nearing and tickets haven’t been released. Thank goodness I didn’t trust their site saying they almost always transfer in time for your event. Truly worst customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time.”
“I purchased 4 tickets to a Pink concert. The tickets were advertised as clear view. When we got to our seats there was a wall on the side of the stage. We had NO VIEW! I immediately called stub hub, they said they could give us new seats (but they could not tell us if the new seats would be clear view) or give us a full refund. We decided to take the refund. It’s been 3 months and they keep giving me the run around every time I call. I have numerous emails saying they are processing my refund but I still don’t have it. This company does not stand behind their ticket sales as they say. I would not recommend stub hub, they do not honor their guarantee!”
“Total bait and switch - I purchased a pair of seats and rec’d different seats with an obstructed view. When I finally found a number and called to complain, they did nothing and said it was my fault because they had not record of my complaint even though I had a chat with their “live” chat - which is clearly a bot.”
“This was a terrible first and last experience with StubHub. I purchased tickets to Les Miserables. When I went to access the tickets before attending the play the tickets would not come up. I was left with error messages and being sent to Ticket Master's site. I approached the ticket window for help only to learn that the seats listed on the email from StubHub weren't even valid seat numbers for the theater. Upon contacting StubHub by phone from the very beginning of the call I received no assistance but constant push back by the customer rep who essentially said I was lying. I filed an online complaint which was immediately denied stating that StubHub was sorry I did not receive my tickets online. I am left with no choice but to either arbitrate or sue. I am leaning toward the latter as I can still opt out of their mandatory arbitration clause. It is ridiculous in today's day and age customers still have to print out a form to both opt out of arbitration and provide a notice to file a dispute and handwrite information on the preprinted form and then mail rather than being able to fill out the form electronically and send online. I will never use this platform again.”
“we bought 3 tickets to see zach top, the seller never sent us the tickets after paying 600$. when we went to the event thinking the tickets would come in any second, we found out that the seller was unreliable and we couldn’t get “guaranteed” replacement tickets. We got a full refund but at the end of the day i’m never using stubhub again.”
“Terrible experience! They scam me and I lost $45 for a parking pass that I never received and they won't refund stating I should have reach out to them PRIORto the event! You mean when I was in a single car line on the streets of Newark, NJ trying to get into the parking garage with police standing patroling the streets intersections?!?”
