“Sent a pristine iPhone 13 mini to them. Was always in a case and had a screen protector on it. Amended my offer from £255 to £175 because they found scratches on the case and screen - utter lies. Looks like I'll have to pay £10.75 to get it sent back. I'm sure they work on the principle that most people can't be bothered to challenge them.”
“Initial offer price ok, until they received phone then they revised it to a fraction of its true value BUT make it impossible to reject the offer, stating that after 7 days the phone becomes theirs according to T&C. They are completely dishonest and should be closed down.”
“Sent my iPhone 12 and was quoted a value of £247. I then received a revised offer of £147 as they claimed it has wear and tear/scratches but I know the phone was in perfect condition. Asked for my phone back and they charged me £14 to get it back. Still waiting for it. Absolute con, sell elsewhere.”
“Shocking offered me £10 for a Samsung S21 in good condition and unlocked an insult, also they don't allow you to refuse I had to ring the complaints department and demand my phone be returned now. I was offered much more by Music Magpie and accepted the offer. They should cease trading now just a bunch of criminals thinking they can rip you off. Please do not send your phone to them do not waste your time. They will offer a tiny amount and say all sorts are wrong. I don't know how they still trade as they no doubt send most phones back to customers after the stupid offer.”
“Sent my lightly-used, well looked after Galaxy S20+ in at the quoted price of £110. No cracks, light wear on back case from 4 years of wear and tear (I used a back case cover) In reality, the only way to get the bait-quotes this site uses to lure customers in is to send in a new or near mint phone. Once they received the phone, they offered £5.
I said I wanted my phone back, at which point they offered '£10 more to save [me] the hassle, bringing the total up to £15'. The metals and components alone in the phone is worth more. I paid the £10.75 to have it returned.
I then sold the exact same phone in the exact same condition to CEX for £99 cash.”
“Lure you in with great prices when in reality it’s not they want to scam you not a good company had me crying on the phone thinking you can trust them.”
“Scammers - Don't use this company, sent phone in perfect condition, they sent a video showing a tiny mark on the screen even though it had a screen protector on since it was bought. They paid £70 less into my bank without me even accepting the offer.”
“Only had the option of 3 conditions when providing condition of the phone. (Pristine/perfect, Good, Poor) to get my quote. Offered £146 for iPhone 11 after selecting good. Phone had one small scratch in bottom left corner, rest of the phone was in good condition so not in poor condition. Get an email through offering £70. Declined offer then company holds my phone to ransom saying I have to pay £10.75. Really poor and dishonest practice. AVOID.”
“Do not use!
Offered £192 for phone which they reduced to £40 because it was scratched and worn which is absolute rubbish. Then they charge £10.75 to get your phone back.
Scam!”
“Brand new phone they offer you a good amount but then make it out like it’s got damage dropped the price £200 it had a screen protector on from Apple and a case only been used inside. Do not believe the the price the originally tell you it’s a rip off You Won’t get it”
“Absolutely appalling not only have they lied about problems with my phone and offered £90 instead of £280 but then also tried to con me out of £14 to send it back!!! I then questioned it as my husband was offered £8 to send his back and straight away it was change to £8 to send back, unbelievable DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”
“Sent two iPhones in perfect condition - they revised the price downwards saying they were not in top condition - told them not to bother and had to pay to have them shipped back to me. Went with Music Magpie afterwards and they took them as "excellent condition" and paid out no issues. Avoid WeBuyAnyPhone - pure scam.”
“Shocking way to operate in this day and age, I didn’t like there offer which was very very low for a phone that showed very little signs of wear (kept in a case for its entire usage) the video they showed was not of my phone. Then charged me £10.75 to return it, this is after the advertise free returns. I complained, they said ‘read the small print’ shocking”
“Do not use. My partner is in bits with these scammers. Absolute rip of merchants. Lure you in with high offers and then they advise arrived in poor condition and reduce your offer to next of nothing. You’ll struggle to see how to get phone back. Will be reporting this company as it seem everyone experiencing same issue.”
