“This is a scam. Don't trust this site or the people behind it. You can deposit money but not withdraw it. I tried getting my money back for over a week and my withdrawals are always denied. Do your research and hold onto your money. I'm inclined to believe that many of the reviews online are fake. The "financial manager" assigned to me was friendly and polite in the beginning and became rude, aggressive and used verbally abusive language in an attempt to intimidate me when I didn't comply with his directives. Don't trust these people. Get help from Madam Roberts ( roberts lee. 618. @. g'mail''com) if you need to withdraw your money from them. WhatsApp:::: +1 8. 5 6-5. 4. 9 - 74 69”
“If your money is still in this platform, there is still a chance of you getting your refunds, if you got evidence (transaction history) i would recommend you to file a report immediately to 𝕒𝕡𝕖𝕩𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕖𝕥𝕣𝕖𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕒𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝕞 to help you out with recovering your Funds/Assets.”
“Ordered a tee shirt with a saying although when it was customized with the name I chose it now made the shirt totally not making sense because they took out the most important words!! Was tokd I'd have to buy a new one. Not a reputable company AT ALL.”
“Absolutely horrendous experience with acorn online. I will never order from this website again if I could give less than one star, I would
Ordered online paid a lot of money for shipping and it said it would be fulfilled in 5 to 7 days. I placed an order on December 6 and did not receive the full order until the evening of December 21 called multiple times to get updates. Spoke to people that didn’t speak. English couldn’t understand what I was asking and were extremely rude. Called the number on the website and was told that was not customer service and call a different number
Do not order from this website.”
“I just got off the phone with an Acorn representative. I bought a coat and matching rain boots from Acorn and the rain boots were impossible to pull on because the opening was too tight. I discovered that they will charge you to return or exchange an item, even if the item is unusable. I would have tried the next size up, but then they would have charged me twice for returns if the next size up didn't work either. Their customer representative said, "We sent what you ordered. It's not our fault if it doesn't fit."
Their invoice says "we truly appreciate your business and strive to ensure that you are completely happy with every purchase - a commitment we back up with our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee." This is simply not true.”
“I have an order pending with Acorn Catalog. I have tried to find out the status of the order but all they can say it was shipped on Nov 16th. They have sent it initially by Fed-x but will transfer to USPS for delivery. This scares me because in my area instead of delivering to the porch they either put it in the mail box, if it fits or leave it on the ground near the mail box. Not good in my neighborhood since I live on a busy street and stealing packages is a sport. I had no idea until I made the order that Fed-X would not be the one delivering the package. I will never order from Acorn again. They have the worst customer service! They don't use email confirmation with tracking like other catalog companies. I asked them for a delivery status and they have no idea first it was 5 days then it was 7 days. This does not help me watch for the package to avoid someone taking it.”
“Great selection of British TV DVD's and Blu-ray's, BUT charging over US $50 for shipping is just a pure money grab!!! Well there is a British expression for that, "On ya Bike". Wait a couple of months and buy from a third party seller on eBay, they usually sell the same DVD or Blu-ray for 40% less and shipping to Canada is usually US $6.”
“I ordered an ivory with blue stripes Irish Grandfather Shirt, size large. The order with the correct item was confirmed via email. Delivery was delayed twice (not Acorn's fault) and the item was finally delivered on the last day the person I bought it for was here before leaving for the East coast. When I opened the package, it had the correct order slip, but contained a green, size medium, Ireland Rugby jersey. I called four times, verified all of my information, and finally reached someone who then proceeded to go into a very detailed description of what a smart label is so I would know to use it in returning the item at no charge - I have a Master's Degree, I don't need to have someone belabor this kind of an explanation when I've already acknowledged having it for the return. I returned the item the same day, using said smart label. Ten days later, when I still had not received a new item, I checked and the return had still not been received. Given the Christmas holiday, this was understandable, but then I discovered that the customer service representative with whom I'd had the difficult conversation ten days earlier had not documented the call and I essentially started all over again.
One thing to note about this business' website and correspondence - the only number they list on either is called Customer Service but is an "order-taking only" number. As soon as you explain that you have a question or an issue with an existing order, they give you a different number or tell you they'll refer your issue to someone else who'll get back to you in 24 to 48 hours! When asked why they refer you to the wrong number for resolving issues, the person you're talking to just keeps repeating that you need to call the other number - they don't have the ability to transfer your call. Unless you're at a place where you can wait with pen and paper in hand, you're out of luck.”
“The customer service people are totally helpless! Can't cancel an order that was just placed. After order arrives and is poor quality, the person answering the phone can't put me through to a customer service rep, can't guarantee they'll call back within 3 hours (I'm leaving for work) and CAN'T ACCEPT A RETURN! They don't actually offer refunds. I will block them from my email, and throw their mailings in the recycle as I walk back into the house! JUNK! Please, if they're selling something you think you want, Find It Elsewhere!!!”
“Acorn has got to be the worst customer service I've ever experienced !
This business is terrible from the top down. I cannot speak for others but, look elsewhere and stay as far away from Acorn as possible, do yourself a favor and save yourself the grief, in the end it's not worth all of the aggrivation and extremely expensive shipping prices.
Good luck, and don't say that you weren't warned.”
“I ordered a really nice throw at Acorn Online. Received it in great shape and it is beautiful, although kind of expensive for a throw. Then a couple days later I got an email saying it was now half-price - HALF PRICE! When I called their customer service to complain, they agreed to refund half of what I paid, so I only paid the half-off price in the end. I checked my credit card today and they DID do the refund. I am a very happy customer. Will definitely order from them again! Thank you Acorn!”
“Awful handling of my catalog order for a raincoat the people that answer the phones are always polite (the system sucks) nothing is followed up on... The supervisors leave a lot to be desired ... the problem is too long to describe... just beware they are very inept...
And Im still waiting !!! Acorn please email me!!”
“Horrible company, do not order from them!. Horrible customer service, nobody responds. Order missing several items, just thrown in the box, no care at all. Order a 60.00 bracelet and it comes in a plastic bag ( no box as it states) and thrown in the bottom of a large box- never seen anything like it. Consumer beware. Still waiting for a sweatshirt ordered 2 months ago. eew never again.”
“Waited for my large purchase and apparently the vendor Acorn uses is unreliable. Tried to cancel item. Was told yes the item was cancelled. I asked for email confirmation of this since the item was over $400. I talked to numerous people, even a manager. Was told an email would be sent. Nope. Hasn't happened. Customer service does not honor their word. I would never recommend this company to anyone!”
“Beware of the "Thriller" (British 1973) album, which I recently purchased from Acorn. The last two episodes on Disc One would not play in my DVD player. I hope this is the only problem, as Disc Two was OK and start disc all right. I thought it suspicious that this 43 episode album was only $29.95, far cheaper than Acorn's usual prices. I wager my copy is not the only one of the lot defective.”
